Great Quality Heavy Cut Glass/Crystal Oil Lamp Font With Brass Screw Collar
This auction is for a superb quality. Hand blown, heavy cut glass/crystal oil lamp font that comes with a brass oil lamp burner 1.5"3.8cm screw collar. This has not been fitted. Victorian in date. The font weighs 600g unpacked. It measures 5.5"14cm diameter across the top and stands just under 4.5"11cm tall. It can either be free standing or sit in a 5.25"13.3cm drop in ring. Condition is excellent. It appears not to have been used much if at all. The foot shows very light signs of wear(see pic) and there are no chips or cracks. I have pictured two marks in the glass from when the font was originally blown. These are not chips or cracks. Upper hoop also not included(was taken from another lamp for the photo) Measure 23.5" tall overall and are about 6" wide at the base. These things are heavy at about 8lbs each. These are old ones, notice the non-polarized plugs. Only damage(aside from 70's repaint) is one broken tab, as shown. Speaking of paint, I scraped a small area, so you could see the bare metal. This came from a very old estate in Sheffield. Massachusetts. The owners were lighting fixture fanatics. This is 7" Tall with a 6" base. This could have been a lamp base. I say so because of it's weight and a hole on the side for a cord. it looks like someone tried to retro fit it for the wall or ceiling as two small holes in the narrow end are not evenly spaced. Up for auction is this solid brass bracket mounting centre draught argand paraffin/ kerosene oil lamp. Complete with button type flamespreader, wick, reflector and straight cylinder type glass chimney. It is incredibly heavy. Weighing 4& 1/4 pounds without the glass chimney, solid brass. It stands 12 inches high without the chimney, 19 inches high with the glass chimney. CGlass chimney is just under 2 inches diameter and 11 inches long. I have no idea what the lamp was made for. It is heavy and well made. Must be made for a marine, military or railway use, and it has been suggested it fits into a railroad headlight. the brass strap bracket has 2 hole and slot mounts. The lamp is secured to the bracket by a stout brass nut on the heavy centre tube protruding from the bottom of the fount. As it is now the fount can swivel in the bracket. ... moreMay be as intended or may need the nut tightening. Wick winder knob. Which is on top of the fount to one side of the burner, works and raises the wick very smoothly. The chimney mount gallery incorporates an inner tube spaced out from the wick tube, to bring an inner current of air around the flame and assist cooling the wick tube. The height of the wick tube above the fount suggests that it is for kerosene or refined burning mixture, turpentine. There are no dents or damage. There is no makers mark I can find. The lamp is incredibly neatly made. Chimney has swirls in the glass but no cracks or chips. if you wanted to use it a borosilicate(pyrex) tube might be a good investment. Crevices show residue from polishing. Lamp has a clean, but aged patina. Due to the weight and need for a good box overseas postage is expensive. Check out my other lots. Save on postage! Antique Vintage Tall Brass Table Lamp Dual Pull Chain 28" Footed Base Heavy
This brass lamp came from an auction in Vermont. A magnet does not stick to the lamp. I am unsure of it's age. I cannot find a maker's mark. It measures 28 3/4" tall(to the very top) and 5 5/8" across the base. I am not sure if the top piece is the original or not. The top piece screws in but can be pulled after being screwed in. The top piece has wear marks. The round flat piece that covers the electric wires on the top does not lay completely flat. I have tried to show this in the 9th picture. It is heavy. Weighs just under eight pounds. The lamp has some wear marks and dark spots, see the 4th through 8th pictures. The spots may or may not come off, I have not cleaned it.

ANTIQUE HEAVY CAST BRASS GEORGIAN CANDLESTICK TABLE LAMPS, UNIQUE SHADE BALDWIN?
You are offered this pair of antique lamps. Circa 70 years or older. These are thick. Solid, heavy cast brass. May be old Baldwin, certainly good quality. They are 17“ tall, base is 5 1/2“ square. These appear to have been rewired in past 50 years. They work fine. One lamp has“loose” feel to it’s on off switch. The shades are bowl shaped, a pale orange/ amber color. The glass looks hand blown. The light rises above the shade. There are no makers marks on these. They are well made. The condition of lamps and shades is very good. There are some small dents on the top part of the brass. No deep dents, cracks or chips in lamps or shades. This pair of lamps have a mellowed with age patina overall. Very good looking! This is a very old. Heavy piece in nice antique condition. Marble looks to be 1 1/4 inch thick, measures 9 inches in diameter and weighs 10 lbs. Feet looks to be brass and decorative piece seems to be brass as well. There is a name on bottom that I am unable to read, only can see the last part that says co. but looks to be hand carved or stamped. Pair Amazing Bankers Lawyers Student Lamps Brass Shades Neo Classical very Heavy
This is a gorgeous pair of matched bankers lamps made of the highest quality and in superior vintage condition. The lamps weigh almost 10 pounds each and measure 23" tall to the top of the finial. The shades are solid brass hand cut and hand welded with fine detail in rolled edges and rounded sides that took a real craftsman to form. The shades measure 14 wide and 8 1/4" deep at the bottom; The shades are just under 6" tall. They do bell or taper out as the top is only 6 3/4" deep. The shade could use a good cleaning as there is some loose residue on them as well as some light brown age spots. They are in quite good shape for their age. The finial balls are solid and original and one is missing the brass washer which will lock the shade in place. This should be replaced. One of the finials is firmly attached to the stem ... moreand when you loosen it the stem comes out. This is not really a problem although it might be nice to loosen the finial. The lamps work well I am not sure how much wattage it is designated to use. One of the sockets is a lighter color and may have been replaced at some time. The base has a wood platform that is 6 1/2" by 6 1/2" with a slightly beveled edge. The base has some minor color variation in it. This is a stunningly rare antique 19th century Victorian handmade brass oil burning table lamp. it is completely hammered and crafted by hand out of thick heavy brass and has a wonderful patina from age. it is extremely ornate an nicely footed with very large solid bronze claw feet. the body is made from thick brass and is has a very ornate hand engraved design wrapping the whole lamp. there are two very large solid brass lion head handles on each side with rings in the mouthes of each. the font is removable and also made from thick brass. it also has nicely engraved detailing. there is a cap for filling fluid and a threaded hole in the top for a burner. it measures 9 1/2 inch stall by 7 1/4 inches wide. it is in nice antique condition just has a couple little dings on the top of the threaded piece. This is for the beautiful lamp you see here. Not sure just how old. I am assuming early 1900's. But not sure. Incredibly gorgeous and decorative, as you can see. Solid, heavy brass. I believe that it is the original cord and plug that are still attached, but I would believe that it will need to be rewired. The cap, or plug, has a beautiful leaves& acorn design embossed into it. Hopefully it could be reused, but not sure. I have not tested it, for obvious reasons. I assume it will work if rewired, but cannot swear to it. The on-off switch clicks when turned, which is a good sign, I think. 13.5" tall. Base measures 3.5" x 6" See photos for condition. Comes just as you see it. Vintage BRASS REMBRANDT TABLE LAMP 26" height(with present harp) This lovely brass Rembrandt table lamp was my mother-in-law's. The shade is new- it sat in an empty room for almost a year. But it's in like-new condition. Rembrandt lamps fetch a high price in antique stores and online. This is a classic lamp that will last you forever. It's heavy heavy- 7 lbs- and is a classic. It is comparable in quality to a Stiffel lamp. I have included 24 photos. Below, for your examination. They show, among other things, all 4 sides of the lamp and all 4 sides of the base so you can have an extra good look. I know the lamp is pre 1977 because the factory that made it was bought out in 1977. Here's a little history: In 1970. Scott& Fetzer laid off several hundred from the Virden Lighting division due to a housing slump, and again ... morein 1975. The company sold off its Virden Lighting and Rembrandt Lamp divisions in December 1977 to a newly formed company. Virden Corporation, which at the time of the sale had 360 employees.On August 6, 1979, Virden failed to make payment to 300 employees. According to the company, Virden had closed three days prior because of a parts shortage, but Robert M. Allen of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1554 stated that the company owned Cleveland Trust Company $5 million and Scott& Fetzer Company $2 million– and paid them first instead of its employees. Virden’s president stated that he hoped Virden would be open by the end of the week, but employees were officially laid off in January 1980. On October 28-31, a complete auction was held at the Virden Lighting Company, including its metal working machinery, punch presses, lathes, machine shop, $700,000 in inventory, $1 million in parts, print shop and real estate. Antique Rare Heavy Bronze or Brass Cherub Putti Parlor Banquet Lamp Exquisite
Wow this is probably one of the most exquisite cherub lamps that has ever been offered on ebay. This lamp is being offered for sale from a private collection. I have never been able to find it's mate on eBay in all the years I have been a lamp collector. This lamp would have been found in an afflunt Victorian era home. The lamp is 10 and 7/8 in in diameter at the base and 38 inches in height. I am not sure if this lamp is brass or bronze but pretty sure it is bronze. I have taken many pictures of the lamp to display the tail of the serpent that the cherub is trying to spear however his spear that runs between his hands is missing. I am not an expert on bronze repair however I do believe the the right arm has been repaired close to the shoulder professionally. I do see 3 small holes in the back of the lamp where possibly small flowers ... morewould be missing The lamp has so much detail including the stand up flower. The curved feet and detailing. Please I also urge you to study the pictures closely for any repairs I may have missed. The lamp has been wired for electric and a hole has been drilled through the glass font so should you decide to convert back to oil you will need to replace the glass font.The lamp is extremely heavy so shipping will reflect the weight and packaging.
