The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. I’m very pleased to offer this rare and remarkable pewter and crystal chandelier! I’m uncertain as to the exact age of the chandelier. It might be very late 1930s. I believe it’s 1940s. I’m certain it’s not earlier or later. I’m certain. Too, as to its beauty. And rarity. I’ve never offered a chandelier like it. All the metal components appear to have a pewter finish. Nice. Each arm has distinctive crystals. The hurricane shades are particularly lovely; that they remain in situ is frankly amazing. I also like the expressive glass stem. The chandelier is clearly modeled after an Argand lamp. From Wikipedia: The Argand lamp was new to Thomas Jefferson in Paris in 1784. Which according to him gave off"a light equal to six or eight candles. These new lamps. While more complex and costly than the previous primitive oil lamps, were first adopted by the well-to-do but soon spread to the middle classes and eventually the less well-off as well. Argand lamps were manufactured in a great variety of decorative forms and quickly became popular in America. This fixture is. Obviously, a delightfully faux Argand lamp chandelier. The chain is original. As is the ceiling canopy. The exposed wire is cloth-covered like the original. I would say the the chandelier. At 17-1/2-inches wide. Is medium in scale. To me. Offered for your consideration is this fantastic antique arts& crafts chandelier. This original fixture is made of brass and has nice rivet work and is bold and elegant in design. This is in really good condition and has been rewired at some point in it's life. I believe it is ready to install by the looks of it but I am selling it as is. The original slag glass shades are not present. This lovely hanging lamp measures 32 inches from the top to the tip of the center hanging lamp. 29 inches to the other four, wall mount is 6 3/8 wide, center hoop is 16 wide by 4 inches deep. NO RESERVE! Very fine and very well made hanging light fixture circa 1930s and possibly French in origin. Unmarked that we could find. We have also been told that the lamp could be Italian or even Spanish. What is certain is that the lamp is one beautiful piece of functional art! It is comprised of bronze, painted white cast metal, brass and a woven basket of wire forming the inner portion. Attached to the wire frame are numerous mold-blown multi-colored glass flowers and all are accounted for. Edmond Etling On offer a rare french 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding a beautiful large shade in frosted moulded-pressed glass. Representing the monnaie de pape- honesty plant(Lunaria annua) It's signed Etling-67-france. The hanging fixture has a drop of 47.5 cm(18-11/16" and a diameter of 40 cm(15-3/4" It's in excellent condition. I have renickeled the fixture. And it comes newly wired. The chandelier holds a European E27 socket. For Australia the UK or France I can place a BC bayonet cap one. I will rewire the lamp for the US and Canada with a new US standard socket. STAINED GLASS LAMP CHANDELIER 1900-1920, CONVERTED TO HANGING LAMP
This original antique(1900-1920) stained glass hanging lamp was once a chandelier. It has been re-wired as a hanging lamp. From our research it appears to have been made by Chicago Mosaic Shade Co. The colors of the of the flowers and leaves are NOT faded and the lamp is beautiful. It stands 16 inches tall and measures 22 1/2 inches across at the bottom. The lamp has two sockets and it works great. It is sometimes described as a slag lamp. I will not ship this antique lamp because the glass is delicate and it is very heavy(40-50 lbs) If you buy it you must pick it up in Albuquerque. New Mexico. I offer a two week return policy. It has No rust or tarnish places on it. The glass is still in GREAT condition.The glass is beveled. There is a hair line crack in one of the panes which can easily be replaced. This lamp has 6 candle style holders and then the one in the middle to hold a large light bulb.So it has all together 7 places to put a light bulb.It comes with the original chain that holds from the ceiling. It can be refinished but the finish on it is very beautiful already. Its white with the shabby chic look to it. From the top to the bottom hanging part it is about 25" tall. Vintage Brass Hanging Light 8 Arm Chandelier Fixture GREEN GREAT PATINA!
Vintage 8 arm hanging lamp. Measures approx. 14" from top finial to bottom finial. Approx. 23 1/2" wide from arm to arm Amazing patina! Sadly some has been rubbed off in some areas(see pictures) but not too noticeable. I am not sure if the patina was originally the look of the chandelier or if it was shinny brass to begin with. This Chandelier has vintage written all over and due to its rich patina I would call it"one of a kind" It has 8 arms a couple of them are loose but not noticeable unless physically tilting them. This may be easily corrected. White plastic"candle" sleeves may need to be replace as they too show age. Some are a bit cracked. This chandelier has the matching ceiling plate(not shown in pictures) but I do not have the chain or hardware to attach celling plate. Antique Victorian Era Hanging Oil Lamp Parlor Chandelier Painted Shade So. I went to the auction of a lifetime this past weekend. A storage barn of an antiques dealer that passed about 10 years ago. She specialized in early primitives and American folk art and boy-oh-boy you do not want to miss this week. I took photos of the items that I bought for one full day, and still am not finished– but decided to go ahead and list what I have– enjoy! This one is a beauty. It's an antique. Victorian era hanging chandelier lamp- a very fancy parlor chandelier with glass crystals and it's original hand painted milk white shade. It has Eagle in relief at the top of the lantern- was it oil or kerosene? It's not an electric lamp, but it would be very cool if you had it electrified! I don't know which one, but it looks like a kersene lampe ... moreto me. This is a striking chandelier. The metal is all brass, with brass bars going all the way up to the brass ceiling cap at the top. It measures 34 1/2" tall from that celing cap to the bottom of the chandelier, it is 14 1/8" diameter at the frame that holds the shade, 18" wide decorative scroll to decorative scroll on either side of the shde. The shade is 13 3/4" diameter at the bottom and 5 3/4" diameter at the top, and the piece does have a clear glass hurricane too. The shade is reverse painted and it is a floral motiff in earth tones- browns, golds, rusts, greens etc. The shade is dirty and needs to be cleaned- it's more of a light carmel in color than creamy white. It has some teeeeenie flea bite nibbles at the top that are very hard to see, and you could sand them flat for sure if you wanted to, that's how small they are. There's a handful of the same at the bottom where it fits into the frame- one is very shally but 1/4" on the outside of the rim, it's covered by the rim and that's the largest one there is. There's scratching to the shade that is light, but no cracks, it's in structurally nice condition. As is

The estate we got it from attributes it to Gino Sarfatti, a mid-century modern artist and lighting guru famous for his stylish taste. We could not find a signature of the artist on the piece, but this lamp is definitely crafted in his style. It measures at approx. 24 x 17 x 7.5" at its widest and tallest points. This lighting aperture was crafted to be a hanging chandelier. But it can be easily rewired to make a cool lamp! We could not mess with the wiring to see if it works, we will leave that up to the professionals. But came from a prominent vintage estate with other antiques/mid-century items. Shows some imperfections from use and age. Needs some additional cleaning on the inside. Beautiful brass hanging chandelier lamp that has been professionally rewired and ready to hang. I have taken close pictures of the front and back of the delicate hand painted winter scene shades. The 5 arm chandelier has scroliing designs. The measurements you seen hanging position are 20 inches in diameter and 21 inches in length. I have double looped the the lamp chain in order to take underside pictures so the lamp will hang a little longer if left with the full length of the chain. The shades have a little bit of paint loss of the brown ring at the base. The underside plate where the arms extend from has dent. I will pack and ship this lamp with much care.
