This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. Free Shipping Location: Greece These are very Collectable French Art Nouveau glass vases. The maker is Legras. One of the glassmakers of St. Denis and Patin, near Paris France. The ... moredate is circa 1910 The vases are 11" high with an elongated. Slender, baluster body, spreading to domed circular base 4" wide, narrowing at the neck 2 ¾" The signature is in green. 1 inch below the mouth and reads as"Leg. It is the signature that Legras used on the production that wasn't cameo or acid etched. Mont Joy-Legras& Cie, Verreries et Cristalleries) Legras produced quite a range of different and original art glass. However a significant part of their production followed the styles of Galle, Daum, Moser, Rene Lalique, Schneider etc. Sometime in the late 1920 Legras’s production of art glass effectively ceased. The glass is in at least two layers. A clear inner layer, and the outer layer with the yellow powdered colored glass added with a hand painted green cascading vine and tendrils design. There are no chips or cracks. There is some wear to the body commensurate with age and use and they would benefit from a professional clean. Not knowing how to best clean this type of glass. Large Victorian Handpainted Glass sphere, Shade with brass finial, rose design
This is an 11" Milk-Glass sphere. Parlour or banquet lampshade with original brass finial. The shade is in great condition with no chips or cracks anywhere. There are two or three air bubbles in the glass(White area) I presume from when it was made. The design is a garden rose design, however I do not know who made it or an exact year. It has been in the homes of 5 generations of my family. The shade will be sufficiently packaged in bubble wrap and polystyrene, then boxed. It will be sent by special delivery arriving the next day.
