Hallmarked on the reverse in green, with the Hollohaza green pine tree logo/ Handpainted/ Made in Hungary/ 1834. The dimensions for this bowl are approximately 11 1/2" square x 2" tall. 7" square bottom diameter, weighs 3 lbs. 4 3/8 oz. Or 1 kg. 486 grams. HOLLOHAZA Company information: The collection of records and ceramics held in the two-story museum building is arranged in a chronological order. The history of the works goes back to the glassworks established in 1777 which was subsequently converted into a porcelain factory. Representative of the beginnings are wrought glass flasks and vessels. Next to ornamented, though less sophisticated earthenware as used by the period peasant culture. From the late 19th century we see a more refined crockery adapted to the taste and the needs of the bourgeois with increasingly rich and colorful ornamentation. Antique GWTW Electrified Green Oil Lamp - Handpainted Floral - FC Co. 617
This beautiful antique"Gone With the Wind" style Victorian oil lamp has been converted to electric. The shade of green shows a little light in the pictures; it's a pastel lime green. No shade. Works great. But needs a quick repair, as the bulb socket is depressed(sinking into the body of the oil well) and needs to be pulled into position. I don't want to take it apart since I know nothing about repairing these. Handpainted multicolor floral design on both sides, bottom metal stand is impressed FC CO on one side and 617 on the other. No chips or cracks, in lovely condition. About 12.25" in height, not including the bulb.

It no doubt dates to the early 1900s when my grandmother worked in the Lamp Department at the Joseph Horne Company in Pittsburgh. I have no idea what happened to its lamp. Because of its beauty. We have used it as a low vase for an artifical flower arrangement on a hall table for many years. and received many compliments on it!
