$15.10 Shipping Location: Roanoke, United States This is a beautiful 9-1/2 inch Victorian hand-painted ball shade with pink morning glories on the front and back. An authentic antique shade whose background ... morecolor is a deep turquoise blue at the top that fades into lighter turquoise until it becomes fully white at the fitter end. The shade is decorated with pink morning glories with lovely green leaves. The background color of this shade was“spun painted” so that the color starts out deep at the top of the shade and as the shade is spun around. The color fades until it is completely white at the fitter end of the shade. The technique used to paint the design on these antique shades is referred to as“over-painted transfer, meaning that the intended design was applied to the glass globe like a“decal” and then the artist painted on top of the transfer with the brilliant/lifelike colors. Finally the completely decorated shade was fired in a kiln. The shade retains its original brass top ring. Has a standard 4-inch fitter rim, stands 9-1/2 inch tall and is in mint condition. This is a lovely Double Globe Lamp. Not sure of the make but I was told it may be Fenton. Both Globes light up. Together or separately. The roses and leaves are painted on the Inside of the Globes. Beautiful. Impressive, hand-painted and signed large 10” diameter globe for an antique lamp you want to restore to former glory. Big enough for a parlor lamp. This globe glass lamp shade stands 10 inches tall to the top of the ruffled edge, has a 4 1/8 outside diameter opening at the base and a 4 inch ruffled opening at the top where the glass chimney would come through. 19th Century hand painted globe Success Oil Lamp converted to three way electric switch with built-in nightlight. 18 inches tall to the top of socket. You must supply the shade) Works great. Needs new nightlight bulb. The cord works fine but given its age I suggest having it retired for safety. On the top fitting. You can see how the oil tank was modified to accept a light socket, and welded into place. The oil tank is still inside the lamp, visible from the bottom peek hole where the nightlight fits. The 10 inch tall and 8 inch wide Globe glass is very thick and was hand painted with what looks to be pink thistle bush plants. The base is beautiful and stylish. Antique, hand painted double globe lamps
