Brass and glass mounted hand held oil lamp, the glassflue above the burner, on a cylindrical reservoir with dished metal mirror plateabove, on an arched backplate.It is possible that this hand-held lamp was intended for use in mines but generally miners' lamps were more substantially built for arough life.
