This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. We have 6 listed this week.My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces ... moreoff of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they came off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. My aunt has recently passed away and these parts came from her attic.This one has what looks to me to be a green vaseline type glass incorporated into its design one of which has chips as shown but the others are fine. The cast iron base and steel parts had been stripped of their paint and or plating years ago and they got rusty so I took my wire wheel and went over them but you'll still need to brush them again before painting however most of the prep work is done. The base is really rusty on the under side but I cleaned the threads up and they look fine. There are 2 matching brass tubes. I polished a small area of one of the tubes so you can see what they'll look like once cleaned up. I do not have any sockets and of course the pole is missing too but the threads in the base look fine. This is a Great Old Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade in very good condition! It is an 8 Panel shade and all the glass is damage free it also has all it's little tabs. I see no makers marks so I do not know who made the shade or it's age my best guess is 1940s but it could be earlier. It looks to be very well made. There are a few small areas of finish loss but 99% of the original finish seems to be there. The shade from panel to panel is 17 1/2" and the shade weighs 7.10 pounds. Thank you for your interest! The wood pole is a substantial piece– 12-1/2” diameter solid base maple base with a hole in the center for wiring. The pole section of the lamp has a bottom dimeter of 5” and tapers slowly to a 2-3/4” diameter at the top. It is an uncommon heavy base that easily supports the large glass shade. This lovely lamp is an old one. It stands 21" tall. The brass base is 6" square. Bottom of shade is 12" and top is 4" across. Notice the heart pattern. Very desirable, is at the top of each side. Shade has 6 panels of gorgeous swirled green to turquoise to purple slag glass. It has been updated with a 3 way switch. Cord is good. Lamp loos like it has been dropped as on one side the brass is bent some. It isn't something you are going to notice unless you are looking for it. But it is certainly there. The shade has 2 cracked panels. One of them you don't see at all as the brass covers it. The other has a straight line crack all the way up that is visible and 2 other ones going in the opposite direction that are behind the brass. I would say they have been there for many years. For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. It is also documented at the site leadedlamps.com under Handel lamps. The lily pad base of these lamps were made of cast iron and ... morethus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer pot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The base of lamp has a square that is about 7.5 x 7.5 inches. The shade is very heavy. It is made of a green stained/slag glass that is very heavy, but light still passes through it very nicely. It measures about 12 inches in diameter and it is about 7.5 inches tall. This lamp weighs a total of just under 12 pounds. When I found this lamp, the socket did not work so I took it to a lamp shop and had the socket replaced, the cord is still the same. The lamp works now just as it should. It has slide mechanism to turn it on or off. There is a finial on the top that ... moreyou remove by screwing it off and then you have access to remove the shade. The shade support is also removeable by pinching the two sides and it comes out of the groove by design. Condition- It is pre-owned and well used. The metal parts of the base and shade have oxidation and discoloration but that definitely adds a nice patina to the piece. The inner glass is intact. There could be a few small flea bites where the glass jostles around because it is just held in place by metal prongs. The lamp works, as stated the socket is new, but the cord was left because I wanted to leave the lamp as original as possible. As far as the age of the piece, I really have no idea, my research has come up empty. It really is a beautiful lamp, and if nothing else, its definitely aesthetically pleasing to look at. A Lovely Example of Bradley and Hubbard's work during America's gas era; appears it have been adapted from gas. Which would date this as one of it's transition works before the switch to electric. The Shade is graciously understated with the glow of the bronze fern motif through the green slag glass panels. The Bronze base is stamped"B& H' underneath to indicate Bradley and Hubbard, and has an orchid floral motif around the top. Everything appears to be original, except where it was adapted to electricity. Great Piece! Here's a little History from the Smithsonian's website on the Bradley and Hubbard Company: The partnership of Nathaniel and William L. Bradley, Walter Hubbard, and Orson and Chitten Hatch began in Meriden, Connecticut in 1852 as Bradley, Hatch& Company. Clocks were the sole product of the ... morenewly formed company. When the Hatch brothers sold their interests in the firm two years later, Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley and Walter Hubbard formed a company which they named simply Bradley and Hubbard. STUNNING ANTIQUE GREEN SLAG GLASS LAMP WITH BRONZE BASE
Stunning antique green slag glass lamp shade with bronze base. Both pieces are quite heavy for it's size. The base reminds me of a tree trunk. The shade has 6 panels and the bronze has a nice patina. The lamp is about 8" tall and 5" across the shade. The leading is intact. I cannot find a manufacturer mark on the base or shade. It has been engraved BC78 and I assume it was a gift to some one. The wiring has been replaced with an inline switch.

For you consideration is a very old 10 panel slag glass parlor lamp/ light. Nice rare find. It has red glass at the bottom. All glass panels are original and not a single break or chip. The only flaw in this shade is 2 cracked welds that are not noticeable and do not need to be repaired, only if you want it perfect. The lamp needs a chain and wire. This can be converted to just a shade but you would have to have a very large lamp base. Because of it's size and age. I would prefer a local sale and would even drive about 50 miles of ZIP CODE 07461 to meet with or deliver. MISSION ERA TABLE LAMP GREEN SLAG GLASS ARTS & CRAFTS - W B BROWN ?
This beautiful Mission/ Arts and Crafts Era wood table lamp has a lovely green slag glass shade. I saw several of these lamps previously listed on eBay and they were attributed to the W. B. Brown Company but I will have to leave that to the experts out there. The lamp stands 22" tall. The shade is 5 1/2" at the top and 14 1/2" at the bottom, and the base is 7" wide. It looks terrific when lit and is in good condition with the exception of some minor surface scratches to the wood and one side of the shades wood framework has come unglued. You can see the split to the shade edge in photos#1, 7 and#11. The re-glueing of the shade should be an easy fix and this wonderful lamp will be restored to its original glory. A wonderful Arts and Crafts/Mission Era hand crafted table lamp. Base is wooden and has four supporting arms for the shade made of wood and slag glass- lamp features a working double socket with pull chains and currently has a really long electric cord. I'm guessing because most homes had limited electrical outlets(I would recommend rewiring) This lamp may be W B Brown but there is no marking- I understand this was not uncommon as he produced these lamps wholesale to Montgomery Wards. This is a true beauty to own. The shade sits upon the supporting arms and requires no hardware. The measurements of the lamp are approximate- 26.5"high 16"arm to arm reach 10.5"square base, shade is 14.75"overall 7"panel 5.5"top. This beauty is a mystery! Bronze or Brass? somebody will know I hope. Table lamp with 6 panels green slag glass. 1 panel is broken and looks like it has been glued? I didn't touch it too much. As one side is missing the bakelite housing, and although it does move back and forth, it is not easy to do so. Antique MILLER LIGHT CO. Green Slag Glass ELECTRIC lamp
Here is an antique. Signed, Original Miller Lamp, all original and in decent condition. The Lamp stands about 24 inches tall. The shade is an impressive 20 inches in diameter. All the bent Slag Glass panels are in the shade. One panel is missing a small corner as viewed from the inside, but cannot be seen from the outside. There are a couple of clips replaced by a previous owner by soldering wire to hold the panel, but these should be replaced with a more solid fix. The base itself is marked ML Co for Miller Light Company. The sculpting on the shade and base is all complete and very impressive. The original finish is all there but where worn on some of the high spots on the column and just makes the lamp more good looking. One column has been soldered together to stabilize the frame. this repair can be seen in the photos. These flaws are ... morenot serious. this is a fantastic lap and instantly will add ambience to the room in which it is placed. The lamp has its original wiring and is working, but it should be rewired. This is one very heavy lamp. I will ship in two boxes, keeping the shade in a separate box to minimize the risk of damage in transit. Photos describe best.

But is a wonderful mixed metals sculpture of a Lion on a floral embossed base. The Lamp measures 17" without the finial. The finial and the two pulls are green jade. This auction is for an antique four-panel Arts& Crafts green slag glass lamp shade. This shade would date from the 1900-1920 time period and is guaranteed to be original and old as described. Definitely from the Mission/Arts& Crafts time period. There are three separate glass panels found on each side. The shade measures 13" wide and just over 10" in height. Supported by a hammered brass metal framework as seen. It has the original black silk fringe found around the outer perimeter which adds further charm and character. No breaks or damage found overall. Definitely older and not reproduction. The slag glass shade is supported by a metal framework which would sit on the center post of the lamp(see last photo) The round center frame measures 4" in diameter and would fit over the light bulb. Antique Signed Miller Art Deco Green and Cream Slag Glass Table Lamp MLCO 235
Warm. Bright signed Miller 1920's-30's six-panel lamp of green& honey-colored stained glass and dark, elaborately cast metal. A good size, it stands 22in tall; the shade measures 15in and the base has a 8in diameter. Adds a comforting glow to any room it graces- it is very heavy and good condition! The base shows it's age and the glass has one cracked panel and two that have chips in the corners. They really don't show much from the outside. I can provide replacement glass if wanted, however I decided to leave this as found since it appears to be all original. Cord needs to be replaced also. Includes original finial and keyed socket. It is missing several of the small pieces of metal decoration along the bottom edge. Not really noticeable, size of BB. Please see pics. Please ask questions before bidding.
