Pair of Antique Tin Lamps with Gorgeous Green Globes I don't know for sure that these globes are vasoline glass but they look like they are. The color is just incredible in the light. Each lamp stands approx 9" tall including shade. Approx 5" across base. Globe fitter necks will fit in a 2 1/4" collar. Each globe is approx 4 1/2" tall Condition: Good working condition. I think they were rewired at some point. The lamp bases are a little battered and both bases have been painted an antique gold and it is not a very good job. For your consideration is a pair of vintage/ antique Mid-Century Lamps with original lampshades. What a fabulous design! The off-white portion of each lamp is made of an opaque glass or marble material. The green'stick' portion is metal. I believe, with a green coating. There are some small chips as you can see in the photos. These can be turned to the back. The shades are in great condition for their age. They have a textured bumpy feel(seems like a heavy paper) with a gold flecked on coral ribbon piece along the top and bottom. The tone gives off a muted warm glow. We are pleased to offer this wonderful pair of antique to older vintage lamps. The lamps date to the 1940s and feature elegant lines with French or Italian Regency design. The lamps are metal with dimensional acanthus leaves on urn bodies. Above the urn sections. The lamps have a tall, candlestick design. The circular bases are stepped and feature a bottom section of metal topped with pale green onyx/marble. The lamps retain their original finish which is a lovely, antiqued jade or celadon green. The lamps have sockets which were used by Rembrandt and Stiffel during this period. They retain both their milk and clear glass diffusers as well as their elegant fabric shades. The fabric shades are quite striking. They are a fabulous, light jade green silk with a touch of gold trim around the bottom and a brocade/bric-a- brac trim around the top. ... moreThe silk has a jewel tone shimmer in direct light which is fabulous. The shade frames are designed to fit into the notches of the glass diffusers. The lamps are completed with their original finials which are metal fleur de lis finished in the same green color as the lamps. The lamps are in very good condition for their age. There are a few minor scuffs/small chips to the finish in a couple of areas but these are minor and not distracting. The wiring was updated in the 1960s. It is working but it is older. The lamps have an on/off switch both at the base as well as the socket area. The shades are in very good condition both in terms of the silk and the frames. The fabric interior lining is old and somewhat brittle and does have some tears. They can be re-lined. The shades are special enough that they need to be included with the lamps. Overall, the lamps are in extremely nice condition. They are elegant and have a classic, refined character. THEY ARE VERY HEAVY. Antique Large Double Student's Lamp Converted Oil Lamp Green Shades
Up for bid is a Beautiful antique large double student's lamp with the dark green shades. The one shade shoews a bit darker than the other but does match. It is in excellent condition with no nicks. Chips, scratches or dents. It is electrified but retains the original oil resevoir. The lamp is adjustable up and down and also swivels 360 degrees. It measures 21" high by a full 27" wide and the base is 7" diameter and the tank is 4" in diameter and 10" high. This is the more rare Large light, not the 19" wide one. This is a set of three L E Smith Moon and Stars fairy globe or shades. Just found the Amber one and decided to add it on. Great Price for the three AND you can interchange them for different occasions or motifs. All are in excellent condition. The shades are 4 1/2" across/wide on the bottom 3" wide on the top and 3 1/2" tall. They do have the normal small bubbles that are associated with the age of these globes. As you know these small bubbles do not hurt the globes in the least. We do take care when packaging. The lamps are 13" tall made of what appears to be green marble and brass Each lamp alone weighs 3.10 They are dusty and dirty from storage but work and are a Great Vintage Find I've shown the condition as best I can in pictures and shades are included unless you don't want them. Pair of Antique Victorian Brass Table Lamps with Green Silk Shades
You are bidding on a pair of stunningly beautiful 27" Tall Antique Victorian Brass Table Lamps with Green Silk Lamp Shades. Fashioned out of brass vases(dated from the 1880s) and converted into fully-functional electric lamps over 40 years ago. These beautiful and dramatic pieces, part of a family heirloom collection, are a rare find for decorators and collectors alike. Weighing nearly 6 pounds. E ach vase(lamp base) is about 14" tall and consists of two parts which are fused together and cannot be separated. The bottom part is 8.5" tall and about 5" wide at its widest point. The top part is 5.5" tall and about 2" wide at its widest point. Each vase exhibits a very small hole at the top of the bottom part(just beneath the seam) which may have been instrumental in fitting the two halves together(please see high ... moreresolution photos below) The lamp bases have a smooth and almost polished bronze brown patina and may be stained although no brush strokes are visible. The front and back of the thickest part of each lamp base are embossed with a rosebush and a bird. The front and back of the narrow neck of each lamp base are embossed with a floral pattern. Each lamp base features two metal handles in the shape of a long-tailed bird which are nailed to the neck of the vase but can be moved slightly. T he underside of the lamp bases are covered with dark green felt and the bottom rim of one of the lamp bases has a small area which exposes some of the brass(please see high resolution photos below) The gorgeous custom-made green silk lamp shades are oblong and octagonal in shape and feature dark green and gold velvet banding at the top and at the bottom. The top cover of one of the lamp shades shows some slight discoloration(please see high resolution photos below) The lamps have been professionally packaged in two separate shipping containers to ensure that both the bases and the shades arrive in pristine condition.
