We are pleased to offer this unique. Antique to older vintage, Mid Century, Danish modern styled, gooseneck desk lamp. This is a beautiful, old lamp with similar characteristics and styling that are often seen in lamps by Tynell. This lamp features copper or coppered brass construction. It has a rounded, raised base. The lamp's"gooseneck" column is adjustable. It is finished quite nicely with the coppered finish mixed with a brilliant brass finish. It gives the flexible gooseneck a"striped" appearance. The shade is outstanding. It is large and curved cone shaped. It features a pierced detail band on the top and bottom sections of the shade. There is an on/off switch at the top of the shade. NICE Vintage Metal Eames Era Desk Flex Lamp Machine Age Gooseneck Light
This lamp was used in an office or a factory sometime during the mid century. Exact age unknown but believed to be from the 50's or 60's. The entire lamp including the shade is metal. Has a weighted base then about an 8" solid stem with about another 8" of flex. The paint is original and in super nice condition. The light has no dents with very minimal scratches on the base and one little scuff about the size of a pencil eraser on the shade. That scuff is superficial so you should be able to buff it out with some automotive polishing compound. The lamp does work however I do see a piece of electrical tape sticking out where the cord goes into the neck. The switch is fine. Bulb does not flicker when being turned off and on. Bulb is not included. When the neck is straight up the lamp measures about 25 3/4" tall. This auction is for a vintage 1950’s Gooseneck Desk or Wall mount Copper colored Lamp-industrial and functional! I cannot find any markings or labels on the lamp. The lamp is approximately 19" tall from the desk to the highest point when fully extended. The base is about 5" in diameter and has openings on the bottom so it can be wall mounted. The Round Shade is approx. 5 ¼" in diameter and is about 7 ½" deep; Electrical cord is 55" long and is in good shape. The whole thing is made out of metal and the"gooseneck" is easily adjustable. As well as at the neck and the socket. It stands 21 inches tall when fully upright. The faux marble base is 7 inches square. The base looks to have been restored at some point. Base has indentations for pens, paperclips, etc. Lamp has an antique, bronze colored finish, and a rolled rim parabola shaped reflector shade. Lamp is 14.5" to top of gooseneck. Shade is 6.75" diameter. 4" high. Base is 6.75" long, 5" wide. Lamp has been sanded and re-painted. It has been re-wired with new cloth wrapped wire and plug. Original fat boy socket with switch was reused. Base has number 131 stamped on one side and 3 on the other. I don't know the manufacture. This is an old lamp and there is some slight wear.
