The lamp shade measures approximately 5 5/8" tall to the top of the shade. The bottom is approximately 8" across where it sits in the shade holder or ring. The top of the shade is approximately 4 1/2" across from one side to the other side. This shade is in really nice vintage condition(check out the pictures) The shade will be well packaged. Winner gets a gorgeous. Original Art Deco or Art Nouveau metal lamp with a kneeling woman and amber crackle glass globe. I think the metal is just spelter with a bronze finish. Although not 100% sure of the composition, I'm just making an educated guess. The lamp itself has a great patina consistent with it's age. There is no damage at all to the base or the globe. There are no chips or cracks on the base. The globe is also chip and crack free. The only thing I will mention is the fixture that the globe sits on is a little loose. It is not damaged or a defect, it is just the way the lamp was produced. The height of the lamp with the globe is roughly 16" The bases measures roughly 4.5" x 5" The globe is about 5" in diameter. This is an absolutely stunning lamp. It was purchased at an estate sale a few years ago. The bottom said made in holland but they put my sold sticker over it and it peeled a little off(see pics) It is brass and crystal or glass with 3 pattern frosted look globe shades. It could also probably use a good polishing. The arms seem a little loose but it might be made that way to adjust. It sits up just fine. Globes are attached with clips. Approx. 17" tall and 15" wide. It is made in a art nouveau/deco style(kind of) Please be sure to see the other antique items we have listed. FEATURES: This lamp is unlike anything that I have ever seen in the past. Or could find online, including eBay, Google images and a bunch of other sites. I believe the base is cast from solid bronze. It is made in a very ornate style with scrolling and leafing, and very fine details. The white satin glass globe is adorned with the most detailed hand formed( vines and leaves applied to it. They look like they have been extruded or maybe hand formed(possibly similar to how you would use a pastry gun) when the bronze was in a malleable state. I'm not sure of the actual process ... moreused to make this beautiful lamp because some of the vines feel like they are actually embedded right into the surface of the glass- and the final product is stunning. Each leaf has a very detailed design that includes a"ruffling" on each edge of the leaves. The vines and leaves have been attached to the globe by what I can only guess is a"melding" of the two materials while they were in a hot or workable stage. If anyone knows what this process is, or knows how it was made, an email would be greatly appreciated. The top section above the globe may have been cast from a different composition of materials than the base was. It is designed with a Roman or Greek style with a column look and leaves that fan out at the top. At the top of the four leaves there is a small hole where presumably a crystal hung down from there at one time. It comes with standard socket switch 2 clicks on and two clicks turns it off. I believe this lamp was re-wired with a new cord and socket sometime in the 1950's-60's. The length of the cord is a bit less than 6 feet. This is from my personal collection that I'm downsizing. It is in good working condition. I'm unsure if the cord is original but it feels a little sticky for some reason. Maybe it could be cleaned with rubbing alcohol? The on/off switch works but it is a little loose and it will turn backwards also. Not sure what kind of metal the lamp is made of but it weighs approximately 5-1/2 pounds. The base is dark green marble. The globe has a small chip along the bottom inner rim which isn't noticeable unless you remove it from the lamp. The rim is rough feeling all around. Not smooth. And has a bulb inside globe and an on-off switch added at base. The bulb inside globe is burned out, I just noticed that and don't have time right now to change it and add photos. The base unscrews to allow for bulb replacement. Takes a 4½ W standard base bulb inside. I showed photos of the lamp with 3 different type bulbs. So anyone can do different looks with it. Vintage spelter table lamp as shown in these actual photos. THE HUNTER" is evgaved across the front side of the lamp. Amber hobnail globe. Measures 13" tall with globe 11" long 5" deep I believe the light bulb is also vintage. I haven't ever seen one like it before. Cord& switch appear to be uniquely original. All in excellent working condition. My grandmother owned this at least since the 60's. She picked it up at an estate sale because her last name was Hunter. Sadley she passed away in 1985.
