No hairline breaks on the stick vases and the base has no damage. The bottom of each narrow stick vase has water spots and just below the rim has a very faint water ring. Any flaw mentioned does not distract and is mentioned for accuracy. 100+ years old. Measures 6-7/8" tall. The base is 3-1/2" diameter. Listing includes one vase. This is a beautiful old glass light fixture shade. It has sharp ribbing all around the piece with a ruffled type edge. The effect when light hits it is very pretty. The actual base opening measures just a smidge over 1.5 inches across and if you include the edges it measures 2.25 inches across. The piece measures 7 7/8 inches across. Large vintage hobnail white milk glass lamp light shade ruffled crown base 17 cm
This large milk glass hobnail lamp shade fits a large standing or hanging lamp. It is in very good condition- no cracks. Crazing or stains. There is one small 2 mm chip to one ruffle(scalloped edge) and 3 tiny dots on the white glass- please see the photos as they form part of the description. The base rim is rough and has nibbles and a small chip but these are not seen when it is installed. This globe glass lamp shade stands 10 inches tall to the top of the ruffled edge, has a 4 1/8 outside diameter opening at the base and a 4 inch ruffled opening at the top where the glass chimney would come through. Double Student Lamp Antique Milk Glass Ruffled Edge Globes
Antique Double Student Lamp with Original Milk Glass Globes This is a beautiful double student lamp in original condition except that it has been rewired with a 14' long length of heavy duty wire. As I am not an expert I will not venture whether or not this lamp was once gas but it does have the attributes for that conversion in my opinion. I do not see any marks but this lamp is brass and was owned its entire life by the man I got it from. It is large and heavy and spans about 19" across. It is 25" tall to the top of the vertical finial. The milk glass globes are each 7" tall and have 6-7/8" openings at the bottom to match the openings in the fitter rings on the lamp(they fit snug) The glass appears translucent around the top ruffles(see photo images) and there is residue from the many cleanings it had with the brass ... morecleaner. With the exception of a couple of cracks on the base(could be repaired from the inside but I did not venture this! and one small on the the globe ring and a tiny chip off one bottom edge of one of the globes. This lamp is in good condition for it's age. I think it was made in the 1920s to 1930s. It casts a beautiful light and is ready for a new home. Payment due within 3 days from close of sale. Antique Hand Blown Ruffled Glass Smoke Saucer or Bell Hanging Fixture Oil Lamp
You are viewing a beautiful Antique Hand Blown Ruffled Glass Smoke Saucer or Smoke Bell for a Hanging Oil or Kerosene Lamp. If you look in Catherine M.V. Thuro's book. Oil Lamps II, on page 250, this is referred to as a Smoke Saucer. This is the real McCoy. If you look at the 3rd, 4th& 5th photos, it shows the circle eye hook that attaches it to the hanging oil lamp. If you'll notice how irregular the hole eye is and also the blob of glass just under the eyelet. Very irregular, which is what you want to see in any hand-blown piece of glass, whatever it happens to be. Even the ruffles are very irregular on this old piece. Little is know on my end from where this item originates. The ruffles and colors remind me of something like a Murano Italian style glass. Based on the plug/outlet I believe it to be pre-1950s. The lamp has 2 layers of glass pieces. The top bigger hobnail piece is removable and quite large. It has a milk white mix with pink/red, and the top has ruffles. The second lamp piece- not removable, containing the brass, lamp fixtures, and outlet has a glass handle and glass that has the hobnail as well and has the milk and pink/red colors as well as a clear glass color on the handle. The metal seems to be brass and has oxidation, normal wear from age and handling-including some light scratching-needs a good polish. There is a switch for the lamp that has a neat pattern design also. Condition is good to very good. I have inspected the glass and do ... morenot see any fractures or breaks. There is normal wear from age and handling on the lamp as a whole including: dust, and some weathering on the brass, the lamp center piece where the light goes is a slightly loose but works great-as you can see in the pics. sizeing is a such: removable glass piece 6.5 inches X 7.5" Lamp piece and glass are about 11.5" and 4" wide at bottom of lamp. 17" inches) tall with pieces put together. Antique Victorian Banquet Oil Lamp w/ Acid Etched Cranberry Glass Ruffled Shade
This is a stunning antique Victorian column banquet oil lamp with the following features: It measures a total of 25" tall. Shade is a ruffled"tulip" style with cranberry edges and an acid etched floral design; acid etched cranberry font with grape clusters and leaves and coin dot accents around the bottom; brass column(with original, lovely patina) frosted inner hurricane shade; and marble base, brass switch is marked B&P. It is an oil lamp converted to electric and works perfectly. It can very easily be converted back to oil by simply unscrewing the top(there have been NO holes drilled, etc. thank goodness! The only flaws noted are some discoloration on the inner hurricane shade, some very small nicks on the marble base, and one extremely tiny flea bite nick on the edge of the upper shade. I only detected this by running ... moremy finger over it. I have another lamp that is identical to this that I'm listing if you are interested in a pair. If you do purchase both lamps please be aware that I will not be able to combine shipping due to the lamps being so delicate, heavy, and fragile. My pictures do not do this lamp justice- it is just gorgeous! I will be listing lots and lots of lamps and lamp shades on a regular basis.
