I have only been able to see similar ones in photos of such lamps, but this one seems to have an extra little lever attached to one side of the gas connector. For your Consideration: This listing is for a very nice Antique Kerosene Gas Lamp. This Lamp has no makers mark. May be a COLEMAN but i cant be sure. The base neck just below the wood carry post doesn't taper up like a Coleman. This lamp measures approx. 19" tall. Chrome base is approx. 8-1/8" diameter. The lamp shade measures approx. 8 1/4" in diameter and has no cracks and only one micro tiny chip on both the top& bottom lips. Near the Top interior part visible from above the shade has the number 183 written in and then glazed over. See picture#8. Wood handled Pumper for the tank comes with it and works great. Pump is missing the small wood screw on one side but this doesn't affect its ability to pump pressure into the tank. Please look close at all pictures for they also serve as part of the description. Pictured in an 1870s Mitchell Vance gas light catalog. This heavy metal lamp stands 25 1/2" tall. Not including the lamp socket and shade holder and the base is 7" in diameter. Antique Gas Fixture Light Lamp Newel Post Etched Glass Shade
Here is a Victorian gas fixture that is also a newel post. The bracket that holds the shade to the post is damaged and we do not trust it without holding the shade on so we were not able to get better photos. It is a lovely piece and hopefully that shows. The pole is 52" long top to bottom, and it is 7" wide where the ornate elements stick out. Nice patina and in good condition. The shade is 4" high and 7 1/4" in diameter with no cracks or chips. This should be shipped in two boxes, one for the shade and one for the pole, if the new owner wishes us to do that we can send a second invoice for additional shipping. This beautiful glass ceiling shade is in good shape with NO chips. NO cracks and NO breaks. This is a beautiful acid etched crystal glass shade tapering into a beautiful deep cranberry glass, with a beautiful SPIRAL and FERN or LEAF FEATHER type design. There is your typical and standard roughness/flea biting around the edges where the shade is attached to the fixture, but this is nothing you see when the shade is attached to the fixture. The opening that attached to the fixture measures approximately 2-1/2" ... moreon the outside. And 2" at the"waistline" of the opening. The general diameter of this piece is 6" When you stand it on end, it is approximately 4-3/8" tall. Gas era light fixture. Carmel color glass is in good condition. I believe some of the burner parts are missing. Victorian Satin Green Uranium Art Glass Grape Cluster Gas Light Lamp Shade 3-3/8
Up for auction this week is a selection of antique glass lamp shades. This is a gorgeous large grape cluster form of shade. Made for a gas light or lamp. As it has three vent holes on the sides. It is made of a beautiful very thin and light weight art glass. Which is satin green in color and is uranium glass which glows under a black light. A beautiful form with large grapes. It measures approx. 7" by 4-3/4" with an approx. fitter rim of 3-3/8" It is in good condition for its age late 19th early 20th Century. It has a few chips to the vent holes and the fotter rim. No other chips or cracks. As you can see in some pictures as well there are some black marks on it. VICTORIAN BRASS GAS LAMP WALL LIGHT FLAT FLAME FISHTAIL BURNER & ORIGINAL SHADE
Up for auction is this solid brass gas lamp in the form of a wall bracket lamp. Probably late 1870s with bold cast brass design elements. This one is particularly heavy and large. The bracket back, taps and ornamental parts are all cast brass. Bracket is 32cm long and 21 cms high. excluding shade) With the shade it projects 40 cms and is 25 cms high. Overall in clean condition. A few odd marks from age and storage, could do with a good polish if you like super shiny. Heavy cast Bracket back has 3 mounting screw holes and is 11 cms diameter. Complete with a Bray Regulator No 6'fishtail' open flame burner( called a Union Jet at the time) and original glass shade with ground upper area and clear base for maximum downward light projection. There is a small chip to the fitter part of the shade. Not obvious in use, and NO cracks NO nasty ... moremarks and NO burst bubbles in the glass. Shade rings like a bell. A superb example. Getting hard to find. Would look nice fitted into a Victorian decor just as an ornament, or could be cunningly electrified with low voltage LED lighting.
