VINTAGE 20s/30s CZECH GLASS FRUIT BASKET LAMP RARE HTF Ram Head Handles
Beautiful glass fruit bead lamp made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s till late 1930s. Base is made of heavy metal. Possibly aluminum and then painted. Small amounts of paint are missing in a few places but nothing major. Wiring looks to be original and in good working order. The shade is marked Made in Czechoslovakia, but I could not get it show up in photos. It's very faint and hard to see, but it is there. There are 6 loose beads that I will include. They can easily be rewired onto the frame, or just lay them in spots as I do. The wire used to hold all of the glass beads is original and very fragile. Double handles on the base are in the shape of ram's heads. Look at photos. Side medallions look like open mouthed lions. Really neat and hard to find basket pattern. Metal has no cracks throughout. Includes bulb which is one of the ... morenewer low wattage ones. I suggest that you use these low heat bulbs as the basket will heat up and get very hot using a regular bulb which can cause it to crack and split. Vintage Pieri Cherubs & Fruit Basket Lamp 1963 Mid Century Retro
Very nice Pieri plaster table lamp dated 1963. This would make such a great designer piece. All original and very heavy. 32 1/2" to the top of the finial. 24 1/2' to the top of the light socket. 20 1/2" to the top of the plaster column. Fruit basket about 9 1/2" across. The base is 7 1/4" across. Nice design of cherubs under a large detailed basket of fruit. The last photo shows a small chip and I found another nick on the reeded base that is very small and hard to see. These plaster lamps are prone to normal age related wear and easily chipped. Green Glass Fruit Basket Moreau Figural Newel Post Art Deco Spelter Lamp Shade
Hello- I used a lamp that I have to show you the shade. The ceramic lamp is not included. This is a wonderful Glass Fruit Basket Lamp Shade. The glass lamp shade is approx. 13 3/4" high alone. And is about 8" at the widest. It looks as if someone made a repair to the bottom of the lamp glass, by using something like paper mach'e to possibly keep the glass intact at the bottom. It works and looks pretty natural except that the bottom is not perfectly round as you can see, and I have pictured. The bottom of the shade is hard to notice as it's usually not at eye level, and the shape of the shade hides the bottom. This is just the glass only. There is a bit of paint smear around the repair on the glass that could probably be scraped off. It is 4" across the bottom. It's a gorgeous piece of glass, with no maker marks ... moreso I don't know who designed it. On Feb-04-14 at 18:25:52 PST.
