French Victorian pair of lamps.
These lamps are in great shape and they have no chips or repairs. One of the lamps has crazing of the finish while the other almost none. Each lamp has a porcelain finial that screws on to the top. The lamps have been cleaned and do not smell. As you can see looking at the metal base. These lamps are thick and high quality. The bases are in good shape, one has some green oxidation only on the front, I didn't try to clean the bases. With the right shades and in the right house these would be very nice. Thank You.

Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. Returns, however, will not be accepted, due to the high costs(and risk of damage) incurred when shipping fragile valuable items back and forth. The lamp is quite heavy and I'm not sure how much it will cost to ship. Once it's been carefully packed for shipment. Here We Have A Beautiful French Victorian Scene Porcelain Lamp With a Hand Made Victorian Lampshade This Lamp is from the 1940's and is in very good Antique Condition. The Lamp Base has a French Victorian Scene in the Center with a Man courting a Lady. There is a lot of 22k Gold Accents on the 2 handles. The raised motif around the portrait, there is a 1/2" band of 22k gold surrounding the base followed by 2 smaller bands of 22k gold, and 1 more band of gold surrounding the top rim of the base. There is very minimal Gold Loss, some on the handles, but it may have been created this way to give an Antique look back in the 1940's. The background of the Lamp base has been done in a pearlized ... moreBlue Marble Finish. The Lamp Shade is Hand Made and has a white satin lining. Stunning Vintage French Victorian Style Lamp Made of cast iron and bronze. This lamp makes an impressive statement. Bronze scrolling vines hold two tiers of crystals. One lower branch is missing two crystals. Measures 43.5" tall from base to the top of the finnial. Base is 9" wide. Shade is 20" wide and 15" tall. Holds two bulbs each with its own pull chain. L&B Brevetes- French/ Belgium c1880 A very attractive oil lamp from the French/Belgian company. Lempereur& Bernard. Dating from the Victorian period. C1880. Featuring a decorated metal pedestal base and amber glass oil holder. The piece appears to have been in use until recently and has been photographed with the wick ... moreand fuel in place. This will be removed for shipping so the piece will come without a wick and with no fuel. Condition report: The wick mechanism is corroded and very dirty to the underside. But it appears to work well and fits to the top of the glass oil holder so the corrosion can not been seen when it is in use. The top rim of the glass holder has some chips as you would expect. Again, as this is at the point where it fits to the wick holder it cannot be seen. There is a split to the metal at the side of the wick holder which, while it could be visible on display, does not detract in any significant way. The glass spout to the top is most likely not the original but it fits correctly and suits the lamp well. The piece needs a very good clean! Sizes: 51cm(20.25 inches) tall. RARE! Antique French? Victorian Two-Toned Large Slag Glass Lamp Light
For your consideration is this absolutely stunning Antique French? Victorian two-toned slag glass. I believe it is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The lamp is beautifully ornate and exquisitely crafted and finished in gold with hand painted original detailing. The base of this lamp is made entirely of heavy metal throughout. Lamp has been professionally rewired with a new heavy duty cord. The pull chains are original to piece and are in excellent working condition. The lamp has slight normal wear in some areas as seen in photos. Lamp shade rod/ bracket has slight patina on it as seen in photos. The lamp shade is made of heavy cast metal throughout and is original to the lamp. It is also finished in gold with hand painted original detailing. The ornate finial is also original to the lamp. The glass slag throughout lamp is beautiful ... morewith no cracks except for one green slag side panel. The panel has a fine clean crack and has been removed and repaired professionally. The glass is white and is extravagantly painted in French Rococo style and details. There are floral swags and garlands, acanthus scrolls and medallions as well as 3 portrait sections. The portraits are identical and finely executed. They each feature a Fragonard or Boucher style, Girl on a Swing. The detailing is exceptional. The portrait is highlighted with a pale gold or apricot background color. The majority of the painting is in a greenish color. There are also pinks, blues and white mixed in. The glass sits atop a footed metal base. It has a metal, removable cap for easy bulb changes. The metal color has, most definitely, been repainted at some point. Here are two matching. Extraordinary French 1910-ish solid brass chandeliers which measure a full 72 inches long(without shades they're about 18 inches in diameter; with standard-sized shades add about a foot for an overall 2 1/2 foot diameter) If you're not living in a church, they're VERY easily reduced in size- if you have a modicum of lighting experience and understanding. The beauty is you have the choice just how long you want them to be, and that's not your everyday option. The gauge of the brass is thick and heavy, as you might expect from the French, who were dedicated to building things to last- for centuries! I installed American sockets on the one that you see lit in the photos, and it was a snap. I used the original wiring which was in perfect condition. So, no limit on the wattage- you can put five 100-watt bulbs ... morein these if you want. The other non-shaded fixture has its original French bayonet sockets. Bayonet socket bulbs for 110-120 electrical current are easily purchased on the web, they come in a variety of wattages. These are heavy, being as substantial as they are. PAIR Vintage Victorian Style Urn LAMPS French Courting Scene Green. Gold, Cream Ceramic& Cast Metal Here is a pair of beautiful vintage ceramic and cast metal urn-style table lamps with French courting scene appliques(on one side) And hand painted detailing. These are in very good to excellent condition given their age. We observed no cracks or chips. The overall painting and appliques are in excellent condition with little if any wear observed. They have a slight pearlized finish making them nice and shiny. The cast metal bases could use a little polishing although they look very good as is. They both require re-wiring as the cords are almost brittle and one cord is cut. We took off the shade holders for photographic purposes only. These are easily clipped back into place. The top finials are mismatched: one is polished, the other is ... moreantiqued. There are a couple extra antiqued finial extension sections included. The felt on the bottom of one lamp needs repair or replacing. We left it as is to photograph the inside of the cast metal base. These lamps measure approx. 24" tall to the top of the shade frame where the shade would rest(excluding screw-in finial) They measure approx. 9" from the top of the ceramic base to the top of the shade frame. This will give you an idea what size shade will be needed as there are no shades included. Each lamp weighs approx. 4 1/2 pounds. One lamp is curiously a tiny bit shorter than the other by about a half inch. This is entirely unnoticeable unless measuring. To us. This shows that each was individually made and not mass produced like things are these days. We may have to ship each lamp separately. Insurance will be included.
