AWESOME STATUE- WAS ONCE A LAMP. This was once a lamp and now makes a fabulous statue for sitting around. Or it could be wired back up I am sure. Its just lovely with 2 goddess ladies and this adorable putti at the base. Its signed on back Petit and its got a tab on front that read l'univers- so I assume this piece is French in origin. Made really well and really heavy and no missing fingers or toes, which is rare. There are holes in the hand and head of cherub probably where wires/attachments for lamp once were. Its just lovely and so well done. It weighs almost 12 lbs. Antique French Art Nouveau lady figurine lamp and mirror vintage old
Up for auction is an absolute beautiful Art Nouveau cast lady lamp with mirror. Does not have the original shade and electrical cord. I am a collector of the arts and crafts movement and picked up this piece about 20 years ago at an estate sale and am ready to depart from her. The cord has a break in it(see photo) but it worked up until the break just recently. The glass shade looks like it was replaced at one time but it is the original shade when I purchased it 20 yrs ago. The lamp has a wonderful patina to her and she might be bronze but more than likley a casted piece. She does weight over 15 lbs. I really don't know if she is caste bronze. The leaves and rod that hold the lamp are bronze. She stands 30" H and and 11 1/4" wide. French Art Nouveau Period Figural Lady Lamp With Nautilus Sea Shell Shade. Cast spelter figure with brass mounts. Lovely detailed figure of a nymph rising from the water. Her upraised arms support a nautilus shell that shades the lamp. The shade is framed with reed leaves and a decorative coil. Marked: This beautiful lamp is not marked. The quality speaks for itself and its French origin. CONDITION: No cracks or scaling. The original verdigris finish is largely intact. The only wear to the finish is on her left arm. The shell is luminous, iridescent and undamaged. The brown plastic covered wiring is probably forty years old and beginning to stiffen. The brass candelabra size socket should be replaced. Its threaded collar and cap have separated, the socket wobbles due to this. There is no switch, it's necessary to plug in and unplug the ... morelamp to turn it on and off. To avoid burning the nautilus shell do not use more than a fifteen watt bulb. We recommend rewiring this lamp. DIMENSIONS: 21 1/2" tall. Beautiful antique french art nouveau figural dressing table lamp from the early 1900s. The lady leans over an oval wreath ornamented with intricately cast flowers and leaves. A large flower blooms at her feet. This lamp is in wonderfull antique condition with part of one finger missing and a scratch in her arm. These are in the pictures for you to see but are barley noticeable. The lamp has been rewired and works beautifully. The felt on the bottom has been partially peeled off. Pair FRENCH ANTIQUE Figural Lady MAIDEN Lamps Handpainted Spelter VINTAGE Moreau
Gorgeous OOAK Hand Painted Pair of Antique Moreau Type French double Figural Lady Lamps in their flowing gowns. One standing lady looking over the shoulder of the other at sheet music on each! These lovelies are heavy with two female figures per lamp weighing 16 pounds each. The figural ladies are made of spelter the bases are aluminum. Overall size of each lamp from the base to the top of the harp is 32" to the top of the bulb socket is 25" The standing ladies are 16" to give you an idea of the ladies size. Base dimension is 10" by 8" at their widest! These Ladies were beyond in need of a revival as they had sustained damage to their bases. They have been repaired and they have been newly hand painted in a pastel coral and a sage green with white and gold bases by a local Artist friend. We now have four sisters with ... moreblonde. Brunette, black and auburn colored hair! He even painted the symbols on the sheet music! He did a superb job giving these Beauties a new Life! They have also have new sockets and wiring. Harps are included. There are no finials. There are no markings on this Pair that we can find, they are older ones though, probably from around the 40's or earlier! The blonde lady does have a minimal crack on the back of her right arm and a previous break to her pinky that was repaired, see last photo. One wee area on the back of the socket poles are missing paint were they were nicked in transit, ooopps, see next to last photo, can easily be touched up. Beautiful French lamp that has led a hard life and not been treated very well. Being sold, AS IS" for parts, repair, or restoration. It could be a stunning lamp, and would measure approximately 10 inches tall(without harp) Charming hand painted scene of a young woman in a flowing gown gathering pink flowers in her skirt, applied gold detailing, on a lusterware lamp. Artist signed, but I am unsure who was the maker/manufacturer of this lamp. The artist signature appears to be, Heti" but I'm also unsure about this.
