It was purchased at an estate sale. So not certain as to exact age(plug suggests 1950s-60s) but it is in excellent vintage condition meaning it is old, has been used and shows little wear with a little dulling of the chrome on a couple of the light bases, but no chips, cracks, dents and nothing broken or missing. The auction includes the five colored light bulbs pictured but cannot guarantee they will work after they have been shipped due to their age. This fabulous chrome lamp features five lights arranged in a spiral and a twist on-off switch about mid-way up. The base is weighted and has some rust on it but not the part that comes into contact with the floor(see ... morephoto#10) It stands approximately 5 feet tall. Vintage Cactus Lamp 4 lights 64" tall Floor Mid Century White Washed Rare Exc.
Have a beautiful vintage Cactus lamp probably from the late 70's to 80's in excellent contition. It is 63" tall x 14" wide at the widest part and the same at the base. It has 4 lights along with 4 glass shades that are 3" wide x 4" tall. A very rare all wood tall lamp in the shape of a cactus. These originated in just an dark walnut finish in the early 70's. This one has been done in a white wash to fit in with the modern look. You can put what ever light bulb you wish for any occasion. Christmas lights. Halloween, birthdays etc. It has 2 different settings high and low and the wire is in excellent condition. Like I said it is hard to find these and I personally have never seen one in this color. The FLEXIBLE ARM is 54" Tall to the first BUTTERFLY KNOB, 10" to the second BUTTERFLY KNOB& 6" to the CONE'S ADJUSTABLE CONNECTOR. This CONNECTOR rotates 360 degrees around and 90 degrees N-S. It has a 2 Standard Light Bulbs with a 3 way switch in the SHADE which allows you to light 1 Bulb, 2 Bulbs or no Bulbs. The CONE has a Separate Switch and takes a Standard Light Bulb. Arteluce, Lightolier, Koch and Lowy, Gino Sarfatti, Raymor and others that sell for thousands of dollars. Could be either Italian or U.S. lighting design. This floor lamp features 3 adjustable arms that can extend and also move in various directions to create the exact lighting that you need in your room. 3-way switch allow you to light a single lamp. Light 2 at a time, or have all 3 lit at once- your choice! Black painted wood handles and black painted base give a nice contrast to the brilliant chrome frame and lights. Measures 59" from floor to top of center pole. Antique Marbro Mid-Century Floor Lamp Mogul lamp base 100-200-300 Watts
Up for auction is this handsome early-mid-century floor lamp. With a brass and marble base. The strength of steel combines to create an impressively decorative and very functional lighting fixture. As did most upscale lamp manufacturers of the 30s and 40s, Marbro utilized the'Mogul' socket to utilize large, warm incandescent light array. The overly large bulb base which facilitates a much larger bulb than the standard incandescent, and the three position switch permitting alternating between 100W, 200W and 300W of light makes for a very versatile floor lamp when the mood requirement changes from a lively party to just a quiet evening alone with java and a favorite novel. The incandescent bulbs for the'mogul' base are still readily available on-line for between $5 and $7 each. Offered is this great looking mid century modern tripod base floor lamp with slate stone table top. Very nice quality lamp. All solid brass with lacquered finish. Unsigned but probably a Lightolier looks like a Gerald Thurston Design vintage late 1950's early 60's era. It has a three way bulb socket cluster with plastic diffuser for the top of the shade. I have a shade for display purposes and is not included with the lamp. Would be cheaper to get your own shade instead of paying the price of shipping. Overall condition is excellent and ready to use. A few minor stray marks in the finish but the brass is pretty shiny and clean. Some small fleabites to the slate table but looks natural from cutting and not damage. This is a very interesting wrought iron floor lamp circa 1950's. I did not find a signature but it is of abstract style. It is in excellent condition and works great. It measures 59" high and 27" wide. The shade is 14" in diameter. Up for your interest is a beautiful mid century Norman Perry Danish floor lamp. The lamp is adjustable up to Approx. 72 inches and it comes with two vintage brass pull chain sockets. It is in fully working condition and has a replaced braided cloth cord.
