This was displayed inside a cabinet only. Super clean inside the sugar and creamer bowls. There are no chips. There is a questionable area on the sugar bowl handle, I am not sure if it is the beginning of crazing from age, or a hairline fracture. I ran my nail over it and it didn't catch, it is smooth, as well as another area near the top of handle, both the same side. It was very hard to see and the handle is intact. See last picture. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND PERFECT! Very large Fenton White Coin Dot Lamp. It is 28" tall from top to bottom. The globe on top measures 10 1/4" high. I am not sure if the chimney is original. It looks like it but again not sure. The bottom of the base is marked F-711. There are NO CHIPS OR CRACKS to this beautiful piece. Looks something like you would see in Gone With The Wind. Great detail to feet and middle, original turn key. Makes quite a statement in your home! I took it to a antiques dealer and they said its possibly from the 40's and that Fenton made this lamp for LG wright company. Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The brass elements have darkened with age and can be polished as brightly as ... moreyou desire. There is surface rust on the iron under plate. The burner was gutted when it was electrified. The rowels that move the wicks are still in place. A section of the gallery that holds the chimney in place is missing. The chimney still fits tightly. The chimney is not as old as the lamp(few are) and has chips on its bottom and top edges. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. Shade, 4" fitter, 7" maximum diameter. The entire lamp weighs, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. It will be disassembled when packed. Cranberry Glass Lamp Thumbprint Pattern Mid Century, Fenton, Wood, and Brass
Beautiful cranberry glass with a thumbprint design and 3-way switch. This lamp. While unmarked, is likely a Fenton glass lamp from the 1940s or 1950s, prior to Fenton's use of a logo(1970s) The lamp is in excellent working condition as I recently rewired it. It also has a new shade. The base of the lamp is reminiscent of a kerosene lamp and is constructed of hardwood, brass, and glass. This lamp has a normal amount of wear for its age, which is visible in the photos. The lamp measures approximately 25 3/4 inches high and 7 3/4 inches across at the base. If you like this item. Lovely vintage lamp. Large. Thumbprint milk glass(Fenton? bowls" one inverted, mounted on turned walnut. There is a wrought iron detail in the center. The lamp is in very good condition with only minor evidence of age/use. The wiring is vintage but in good condition and the lamp is working. The lamp measures 32" tall to the top of the harp. 22" to the top of the socket. It is 10" wide at the base and 11.5" wide at the center section. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided. Here I have for your consideration a gorgeous. Antique French Opalescent Fenton Glass chandelier or swag lamp. The pattern is Coin Dot, also known as Thousand Eyes because when you look into an"eye" you see 1000. The opalescence is stunning, almost transparent. True artwork. The lamp is 39-40 inches from the ceiling plate to the finial at the bottom. This brass toned part is seen in the second photo. I will put this lamp together for you in photos. The second photo is with the font inside the metal framing, the font is 4" tall and 12" around at the widest. There is a night light bulb housing inside the font. Next is placing the shade into the frame, I had to do this extra carefully for my photos because I was by myself. This is why the chain is touching the shade in photos# 4& 5 and where the lamp looks slightly crooked. ... moreThe shade is 8" tall, 6"6 1/2" across the ruffled top, it is 10" across the base. The wiring is cloth covered, definitely needs replaced to make it safe to use, see photo# 10. The cloth covering is off one of the wires all together, it was dry and just crumbled off. Once rewired this lamp would be more fabulous than imaginable, all those artistic dots with tons of opalescence. It could even be put on a dimmer! It would shine beautifully over a dining room table, or add elegance anywhere it was hung. My photos do not begin do this exquisite piece justice. There are no real issues with this beauty. There is a small 1/2" or smaller feathered chip on the Inside of the rim of the shade as previously mentioned. This is not seen once set in its frame. No flea bites, other chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. As you can see, there is no chimney, but I have purchased a few that could fit, if so I will include it. Pre packaged weight is 8 pounds.
