c.1960 58" Tall Marbro Emerald Green Hand Blown Swedish Glass Lamp
Marbro Lamps mid century modern lamp with an emerald green Swedish hand blown glass body and a wood and brass base. Very tall- 58" to the finial with a 6" diameter base and 10" at the widest on the body. Very good condition with only minor aging and in good working order with the two original pull chain sockets Marbro routinely used on these monumental lamps. It has two identifying tags. A yellow one on the socket simply names the company linked to Los Angeles. The foil one on the stem gives the company motto of"Old World Quality- New World Style" and identifies the body as"Hand Blown Swedish Glass. The finial is not original but is in the style of the one likely used. Marbro was the premier lamp company catering to the Hollywood wealthy at mid century and sold across the country in only high end furniture stores.

Listing is for an antique brass lamp with a beautiful emerald color lamp shade. Lamp is in overall great condition. It works as it should and fits any standard size bulb. There is a very very very slight bend to the ring that holds the shade. It creates a gap of les than 3/16 inch. See pictures. I am sure it's a very simple fix I will leave it to its eventual owner. I believe the shade is porcelain over metal. Not completely sure but It is not glass. The interior"chimney" is however. Overall a very solid piece. The on/off switch is the key style. Thanks

Aug. 15, 1916, this marvelous desk or piano lamp has an original emerald green glass shade remarkable condition with only a few tiny flakes at the edges, see photos. To reflect light down onto paperwork. The interior of the blown shade was cased with a layer of opaline white glass, the bottom edge was then ground and polished. An extremely rare find. 1950's Murano Lamp with original shade. Is in excellent condition. This is a timeless piece from Murano features the rich hues that Murano blown glass is known for. Cobalt blue applied stripes swirl around the emerald green body from top to bottom. The wiring. Hardware and brass base all appear to be original. The plug has the correct non-polarized prong design for the time frame. The glass is clear. Smooth bulbous body with a long slender neck. There is one minute flaw on the bulbed area of the glass that is nearly unnoticeable(see photo for close up) The lamp shade is in amazingly good shape, showing only some typical color changing due to age and a small light staining or discoloration. Lamp has been partially electrified and has an interior rod, washer& nut, and metal collar at top for such purposes-please read below for extended condition. The lamp is an antique New England Boston& Sandwich Company fluid oil lamp from the mid-19th century period and is one of their lovely glass overlay& cut concave prism designs(see pics) The lamp is an overlay of white glass& a concave cut prism design of emerald green glass berries& leaves which is very pretty and charming(see pics) Base of lamp is a scalloped white glass. Condition of lamp is very good with electrifying additions to lamp and imperfections cited as follows: the white glass oil ... morefont has several small flea bites/abrasions and/or inclusions which may or may not have been accomplished during the manufacture-please realize these tiny imperfections and please see an example included and presented in one of the close-up pics provided. The white glass scalloped base is attached well to the font with a metal collar(see pics) The oil font is in very good period condition with no cracks or large chips(with the exception of the surface flea bites& abrasions previously cited) and with the exception of a small chip along the top of the lamp under the metal band where the band is fit over the the top edge of lamp for the electrifying purposes.
