Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century ... moreglass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is just the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the surface and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. Holland) which means that this item will be shipped from Europe. It is about 13" tall and base is about 5" square. Made from thick heavy brass, and has a wonderful patina from age. it has a large routed black wooden base with a tapering brass upper base. attached to this is a three legged piece with a very asian design. it has two large shafts above with two drip plates and at the top is a shade mount with a screw on the side to fasten the shade. and it has a large porcelain light socket. it is all wired. This is an exquisite antique rustic metal electric table lamp. it has a lovely yellow and black color which has acquired a wonderful patina from age. it would display very well in an old country home. it is very ornate and holds two candle style candelabra bulbs. there are also two lovely shades that hover right above. it is in nice working condition and measures 15 3/4 inches tall by 10 1/2 inches wide. antique rare heavy bronze bell lady electric light lamp table post 10 lbs ornate
this is an extremely RARE antique bronze bell lady electric table lamp. It is very heavy and made from very thick material. It weighs 10 lbs. the piece has exquisite ornate detailing throughout. a very detailed bell lady sits in front of a lamp post looking light. the top of the light post opens on a hinge to change bulb. On the top is a solid brass ornate finial with hand engraved writing on it. it is all wired and works great. it measures 23 1/2 inches high by 8 1/2 inches wide and this piece is in great shape. With a wonderful patina from age. one of the panels of glass was replaced with another antique panel. Which is very close to the same pattern and texture, it is very hard to notice, refer to pics. has a european socket but can easily be changed if desired.
