Antique Huge hanging lamp Tiffany, Chicago Mosaic , Duffner & Kimberly era
Up for sale is Antique Huge hanging lamp from era of Tiffany. Chicago Mosaic, Duffner& Kimberly etc. I believe it has produced 1910-1920's. The manufacturer name is unknown. Leadedglasslamp.com shows several manufacturers who made very simillar huge and unusal shape of hanging lamps at this era. John Morgan& Sons. Duffner& Kimberly, they produced very simillar hanging lamps. The size of lamp is 25" diameter(widest-part) and 15" high. As you can see the picture that this lamp bottom edge is much smaller than middle of body. I can see some professional repairs and natural heat cracks. But it is good Antique condition over all.

For sale is a rare Duffner& Kimberly leaded glass lamp shade only. The lamp base is shown for demonstration purposes only. If you are interested in the Pittsburgh lamp base with Wilkinson heat cap. Write me separately. I would sell it for $450 plus shipping in buy-it-now. It is a nice looking combination) The shade is a documented Duffner and Kimberly Greek key pattern. The identical ceiling mounted version. Albeit with a ribbed edge for heat control, is shown in Paul Crist's book, Mosaic Shades II, at page 241, top right. A copy of the photo from p. 241 of the book is shown as the last photo in this listing. The shade is 20 1/4 inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches deep. The inside cup diameter for the shade is 3 3/16 inches. The shade is rare in that it's bottom edge has an attractive 3/8 inch wide ring of patinated copper or ... morebrass folded along the bottom. This same heavy edge is shown on the corresponding ceiling mounted shade in the Paul Crist's book. The bluish glass in the shade is a beautiful vaseline glass. All the glass in this lamp shade is thick and heavy. However. There are numerous(about 31) hairline cracks to the glass. Some panels have two. At one time, someone used glue on the inside to stabilize the cracks. I did not try to remove it. Nevertheless, the lamp and glass is still stunning, particularly when lit. None of the glass is loose. Please look at the pictures which are a part of this description. This is a 100+ year old shade. The shade will be double boxed to insure safe arrival. ORIGINAL DUFFNER & KIMBERLY PANELED DIAMOND LEADED GLASS BOUDOIR SHADE, HTF~~
For auction is a wonderful leaded glass boudoir shade made by The Duffner& Kimberly Company of New York. New York. This pattern is called"Paneled Diamonds" and it would be considered an arts and crafts style geometric leaded glass lighting shade for a table base. The shade stands 5 3/8" tall and is 7" in diameter at the bulge at the bottom. The very bottom has a diameter of 6 3/4" The top has a diameter of 3 7/8" This leaded glass shade depicts an Arts and Crafts Pattern of a Diamond set in an upper and lower band of rectangular glass. The colors are vibrant as the diamond is done in a Ruby Red glass with the horizontal banks being done in a pink opalescent glass. The background that surround the diamond pattern is done in a rich deep forest or leaf green. The bottom edge has a beige opalescent scalloped ... moreborder. The long top panels are done in a wonderful Kokomo translucent mottle yellow to cream catspaws glass. The top border is further accented with a honey mustard opalescent glass. There are actually 6 different colors of glass used in this boudoir shade. This leaded glass shades is considered to be in very good to excellent condition with only 1 tight hairline in the long yellow to cream colored granite back catspaw style glass. There are 3 areas on the inside that show where 3 arms that were attached to a fitter once were. The shade is unsigned but it has all the signs and technique of a quality Duffner& Kimberly shade. The auction is for the shade only as I found a pair of these without their base. If I had the bases you would be looking at $1975 per lamp. A large outstanding all original art nouveau antique leaded slag glass table lamp in very good condition.The rose to raspberry and white slag glass that was used in this shade is first quality with lots of color and fire.The photo's truly can't come close to doing it any justice it's much more brilliant in person.There are only three very tiny cracks and one piece that has cracks they are all tight with none of them being loose.They are all shown in the last four photo's.The original bronze finish is in very good condition with only some very slight wear.The very finely cast and extremely heavy figural lamp base is in very good condition with no damage.The base still has it's original signed Harvey Hubbell pull chain lite sockets with the original acorn full length pull chains and the original real porcelain and mica switches ... morein perfect working order.It has been completely rewired and has a new antique style braided cord with the original wall plug ready to use and enjoy.It's very finely crafted with incredible slag glass and is certainly from one of the finest makers.It measures 24-1/2" tall.The shade is 17" wide by 5-1/4" tall.The base is 7" wide.It will be extremely well packed with the shade double boxed and the base sent separately for a safe shipment.Pay pal is required for payment.Payment is required within three days of the end of the auction unless prior arrangements have been made.No international shipping.Thanks

This stunning shade was purchased by me at an estate sale in 2003 in Plain City. Ohio. This shade has been lovingly cared for by me and has hung proudly in my home since. I am only selling it since I am moving and my new home does not have a place to hang it. It truly needs to be lit so that people can enjoy its beauty. In 2011 I had the shade informally appraised by Arlie Sulka of the world famous Lillian Nassau gallery in New York who let us know that in its current condition it would fetch 10-15K at a gallery.
