Antique Double Arm Candelabra Lamp Glass Amber Amethyst Prisms
Antique Double Arm Candelabra We are offering a beautiful candelabra with prisms in various shades of amber and amethyst. Very unique and very pretty. It has two arms each containing 12 prisms. The light sits in the center of each and looks like a candle with a swirled amber light bulb(both bulbs included) The center of the lamp has eight longer teardrop prisms and a center sphere with a rosette. Since this is such an old lamp. You may find a couple of fleabites on the prisms which is consistent with age. The lamp is either bronze or brass, I'm not sure. It is in excellent working condition with age appropriate wear. The switch is on the back of the base as shown in photo#10. The cord appears to be original and has been taped, please see photo#11. ANTIQUE 19th CENTURY FRENCH TOLE PAINTED BOUILLOTTE DOUBLE ARM HARP TABLE LAMP
This is an old antique 19th Century painted tole on metal French or Italian Bouillotte two arm table lamp from wonderful old estate done in a figural musical harp motif. It is 16" tall by 13 5/8" across top and the base is 7" by 3 3/4" It is a mustard color with a scene of figures at Roman like ruins. The scene is different on each side. It has the cord cut off and came with no shade. It has slight wear to the paint on a couple of edges not worth noting. See closeup. I also see a tiny 1/8" pinhead hoe on the base which has a 7/8" scratch with paint loss line that runs from the hole to the lamp body. See closeup. This is in wonderful condition for its age. Antique Bouillotte Double Arm Table Lamp with Adjustable Shades
This is wonderful. Working bouillotte table lamp. It has adjustable tole style shades that can go up and down on the middle shaft. The shades look to be a very, very dark blue or black. The bouillotte lamp was created to illuminate players during the game of bouillotte. A gambling card game, that was the precursor to poker. The base of the lamp was designed to hold game tokens. The central shaft holds the two light fixtures and the metal shades. The height of the shades can be adjusted by using the screw key that can lower or raise the shades. The height of the shade was lowered during the game to protect the player's eyes from glare. The lamp is electric with a good cord and works. I have not tried to clean the lamp. There are dents. Scratches and places where the plating has worn off. I believe the lamp is possibly brass, as it is heavy, ... morewith silver plating. I cannot say for sure. The decoration on the top of the shaft has separated from the shaft(see pictures) Also, one of the dishes under the candle stick is slightly bent.
