The pile is thicker on the borders and edges of the field showing some wear but the pile is intact and there are no threadbare areas. The rug is free of stains or odors. Animal or otherwise. The original fringe had been long missing. A replacement fringe(nearly white) is shown in a few pictures. This was late and inappropriately placed on the rug in its more recent past. The incorrect fringe has been removed and has been replaced with a period reproduction cotton fringe indicative of the period the rug was made- the fringes are woven exclusively on Shaneybrook's own looms. This rug has been professionally hand cleaned by our own conservation team with a restorative thorough washing adhering to National Institute of Textiles and AIC(American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works) guidelines. The protein and lanolin based soap conditions the natural fibres in the rug and returns the original lustrous character and richness of colour to the wool. We use no steam extraction methods or chemical detergents were used during the cleaning process. Ever step possible is taken to preserve the historic nature and conserve the rugs condition. I disassembled the bell and oiled the gears and this bell works good. There is light surface rust but the gears turn smoothly. The former owner is 90 years old and told me this came out of a hotel in Hawaii during WW2.was brought back with a relative and given to him as a present. He has collected bells all of his life and this was one of his favorites. The base is about 4" wide and the bell stands about 3" tall. Moderate wear to the nickel plating on the bell itself. Up for bid is this totally all original floor lamp with the original hand painted shade. I bought this lamp many years ago from an estate. The shade is painted on something like oil cloth so that must be how it has survived nearly a hundred years. The lamp is all original finish in very nice condition. The shade needs a cleaning. Antique Metal Lamp Circa 1920's Pairpoint Handel ?
No markings found on this 1920's lamp base but it is in the"style" of Pairpoint and Handel. It's probably a base metal with an old bronze colored finish. Has a nice patina with a decorative flower and leaf base. Old style plug but new cord and works. Pull style original 7" chain. Bulb holder made by GE. Stands 18"H with the base at 6 3/4"W. It would have used a glass shade but it is missing. The"fitter" opening would accept a 3 1/2" shade.

It stands“66 1/2 inches tall and the top globe is“26 Inches at its widest. The globe is a beautiful mixture of cut glass and nuggets as well as the feet of the lamp with nuggets. The Hammered Bronze is resemblance of Benedict Studio Copper or Dirk Van Erp. The glass is like Tiffany Studios and is just beautiful and unique.
