The Psalm of Communal Lament" We are very please to be able to ... moreoffer for your consideration this professionally tab mounted and framed 17th Century vellum of Psalm 44 The calligraphy on this vellum is hand penned. Our expert tells us it was most likely taken from a privately owned, and or, commissioned book of Psalms. We believe this because it is without illumination, and markings for musical notations. It is beautifully mounted on a fabric back board with corner tab mounts. The vellum is scribed in Latin, on both sides, or recto inverso. Shadows of the letters on the reverse side can be faintly seen through the text of the front. From the look of the font style, the peculiar punctuation, and the vellum used, our expert dates it to the 17th century. The passage is a portion of Psalm 44, or the Psalm of Communal Lament. According to our Latin translator it is verses 9 through 13. In these verses, the Psalmist laments that God has been slow to act, and has a responsibility to save these people from their enemies. The frame measures 23 1/8 inches wide. By 30 1/2 inches tall, by 1 5/8 inches deep. The frame is nice and deep, providing adequate space to accommodate the ripples in the vellum. The frame is finished in a dark brown stain, and is distressed. The back is covered in heavy brown paper with sealed edges. This piece weighs approximately 8 pounds. Condition- This framed antique framed vellum is in wonderful condition. There are no visible flaws that we can see. Mid Century Lamp Pair- Hand Textured Plaster
We acquired these lamps from an estate sale from a neighbor's home. The family was purging items from a home of an older family member that was built in the 1900's. The lamps are very heavy. They are an antique white plaster with a hand textured finish that resembles stucco. The design on the front of each is an extended diamond shape. Colors are an earth brown and burnt orange. The bottom tip of the burnt orange extended diamond has a small chip. Overall they are in excellent condition and will require minimal clean up. These lamps have been tested. And both work perfectly. Unfortunately the family did not have the shades for the lamps. Each lamp is 18" tall. With the harp it is 30"

Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp, Hand painted Sparrows fighting
Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp. Hand painted Sparrows fighting A truly stunning. Rare and fine quality lamp base. This is similar to the Aladdin type lamp where you place the oil vessel into the lamp as opposed to pouring oil directly into the lamp itself. A wonderful cranberry coloured. Faceted glass body with a white glass inside giving it an opaque look. The body being hand enameled with a pair of fighting sparrows a butterfly and I think wisteria. The base I think is gilt bronze or ormolu. The gilding has been worn away from too much cleaning but you can see the gilding on the underside. The base is cast with scrolls and vines around the feet, which is so typical of the Arts and crafts or Art Nouveau movement. Measures 27cm or 10.5" tall by 13cm across the top. 19th Century hand painted globe Success Oil Lamp converted to three way electric switch with built-in nightlight. 18 inches tall to the top of socket. You must supply the shade) Works great. Needs new nightlight bulb. The cord works fine but given its age I suggest having it retired for safety. On the top fitting. You can see how the oil tank was modified to accept a light socket, and welded into place. The oil tank is still inside the lamp, visible from the bottom peek hole where the nightlight fits. The 10 inch tall and 8 inch wide Globe glass is very thick and was hand painted with what looks to be pink thistle bush plants. The base is beautiful and stylish. This lamp stands 36" tall to the top of the finial. Is 7" at its widest on the porcelain vessel and the brass base is 6 1/2" wide. There are the usual double pull chain sockets and a nice finial. Vtg 1950's Abstract Sculpture Hand Wrought Iron Floor Lamp Mid Century Modern
This is a very interesting wrought iron floor lamp circa 1950's. I did not find a signature but it is of abstract style. It is in excellent condition and works great. It measures 59" high and 27" wide. The shade is 14" in diameter. The socket will need to be removed from the wire in order to remove the shade to ship but the wires screw back onto the terminals easily. Thank you!

Striking Rosenthal Lamp Hand Painted Mid Century Modern Great Colors c1945
This auction is for a Striking and Rare Rosenthal Lamp that was made and hand painted in Germany c1945. It is a stunning display piece that would add elegance and a great sense of mid century modernism to any home. It has a unique Ball Shape design that is beautifully hand painted with flowing flower petals in Pink and Brown with brilliant red centers and green leaves and branches with small orange berries. The ball itself is nicely colored in light pink that gets gradually richer toward the bottom. The ball has four feet that are in a C-Shape. They rest on a neat brass platform that is designed with a cross hatched and scroll pattern. I have seen similar lamps. But never on a metal platform like this. This might sound odd. But the lamp has a great feel to it. The porcelain is ultra smooth to the touch. The lamp is marked with a Rosenthal ... moreCrown and sword backstamp and the words Germany Kunstabteillung Selb Handgemalt and Germany US Zone. The stamp dates the piece to between 1945 and 1949. The piece is in very good condition. Especially for its age. I have tested the lamp and it works well. It has its original hardware and cord. There are no chips or cracks or damage or repairs. The painting and the colors are crisp and bright. The platform base has a nice patina. The lamp comes with a harp and a finial but no shade. From the table to the finial. The lamp measures 24 inches tall. The ball is about 7 1/2 inches in diameter. The platform has a felt bottom that is ripping and could easily be replaced. Mid Century Hand Painted Porcelain Table Lamp Brass Base Antique Convertion?
This is beautifully hand painted porcelain lamp has the look of an antique but it is electric it's definitely vintage but the porcelain and brass base appear to be older than the metal rings at the top so it could possibly be an antique that was converted. The paint has a nice texture and color. To be honest I don't know if it's glass or porcelain. So in my ignorance I will start the bidding low and offer to ship for free and possibly take a loss. There are no markings that we can see. So we are not sure of the manufacturer of this lamp, but the quality is superb. This lamp is in excellent condition given that it is possibly from the 60's or 70's. I believe the shade was added much later but is very nice for this lamp. This is the way we found it at an estate. There is some age appropriate oxidation on the base of the lamp. Otherwise there are no breaks. Cracks or repairs that we could find on the glass part of the lamp. This lamp.
