These are very consistent with some of the more decorated Japanese floats. The person I got them from actually said that their father likely brought them back from Japan. As he spent 3 years there. I will leave that up to the purchaser to decipher though as I am not an expert on these items. It measures 18" long x 6 1/2" wide at the bottom tapering to 5 1/2" at the top and is in wonderful condition, with no chips, flea bites, cracks, or repairs. Im not really sure how they mounted or how the light fixture works with them as I just found the glass shades alone. They measure roughly 10.5" across by 4" high. I am pleased to present for your consideration this very fine Antique/Vintage TOLE(metal) Lantern Base Table Lamp. Featured in a soft Sage Green this metal TOLE Lamp features a double lamp: The base features a Bubble Glass Lantern shape. ROSES Spray decal is shown on all three sides at the corner of each panel and the ROSES Spray is carried up towards the top and is accented in gold trim. The backside shows a round metal plate that slides to the right or left so the bulb can be changed out. The Shade is original and is not metal but a heavy cardboard. Four ball feet rest under the base of the Lamp. Quite a unique and SCARCE Lamp and beautifully done. The bulb in the base flickers to give a true lantern feel. Lamp measures 31" ... morehigh to top of finial with an 8" square base. Lamp will probably need to be shipped in two separate boxes and will factor into the shipping charges. 1800's Antique Cranberry BUBBLE Blown Glass Miniature Mini Oil Kerosene Lamp c.
Greetings. We are very pleased to offer this STUNNING antique glass mini oil lamp in amazing near mint condition. I am unsure of the maker. But it came from an antique store storage, and still had a $295 price tag on it from over 35 years ago. The tag said"Antique Blown Molded glass oil lamp- Nailsea? with the question mark, so I leave it up to better eyes than myself to decide if the antique store was correct. I will however be asking close to the same price they asked in 1978. Please see the detailed pics- I hope they do the color and condition justice. The lamp. Burner and glass shade/hurricane are all included as shown in pics. The lamp and burner appear to be original, but it is unknown if the hurricane shade is original. As shown from the bottom of the lamp. The colors swirl in"bubble swirls" around the lamp. The glass ... morethickness varies, and is embossed with swirls on the outer surface and molded leaf crown around the bottom. the colors range from almost white, to almost dark cranberry. The effect of the color is almost like veins. I hope the pics do it justice. It is quite beautiful, and almost perfect in every way. Definitely a prized collectors piece. And most likely from the Art Nouveau or aesthetics movement era due to the floral leafy swirly decor. Decoration: the glass color and design is exquisite. And the embossed leaf and swirl decor surrounding the base adds to the visual sense of a 3 dimensional texture. Dimension: 8" with shade. Just under 5" without. The glass is not marked but is indicative of Limburg manufacturing in the manner of Helena Tynell and Heinrich Gantenbrink. The glass is superb with very distinct and very large bubbled texture. THOUGH THIS LOOKS TO BE UNMARKED THIS STYLE OF EDGE ON THE BASE IS SEEN MANY TIMES IN ARMOR BRONZE BASES WITH THAT ALMOST THIN BANDS OF MATCH STRIKER EDGE WORK. ALSO THERE LOOKS TO BE A VERY SMALL IMPRESSED SHIELD ON UNDERSIDE BOTTOM EDGE THAT HAS SOME VERDIGRIS ON IT BUT IS ALSO A ARMOR MARK. WITH BALL ON TOP IT STANDS 7 7/8 INCHES HIGH. BALL HAS NEARLY 3 1/2 DIAMETER. BASE WITHOUT BALL IS A HAIR OVER 4 1/2 INCHES HIGH 5 WIDE AT BASE 7 7/8 INCHES DEEP. WITH BALL ON TOP ENTIRE LAMP WEIGHS A HAIR OVER 4 1/2 POUNDS.
