Vintage BRISTOL Glass Oil Lamp LEIPZIG H.S. Hand Painted Flowers This is an older tall oil lamp that was bought in an antique shop in the early 1970's. It is mostly glass with a brass burner. It is a very light jade green opaque white with hand painted flowers in orange and blues with green leaves. The maker's name is imprinted on the flame adjustment knob. The lamp was made in two parts and fused together. The top part is the fuel cell and the base is hollow. The bottom has a hole from the manufacturing process. The lamp appears to work and the adjustment knob is difficult to turn. But works fine when the wick is removed, so may not be the right sized wick. The chimney is missing, other wise is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. A very nice older piece that would look great on any mantle or in any collection. DESCRIPTION: I’m offering today an Antique Aqua Blue Hobnail Glass Lamp with Bristol Glass Base and Upper. This belonged to my elderly in-laws which we found when cleaning out their home. The aqua blue hobnail glass looks like the color of the ocean. When the light penetrates the glass it has such a lovely color. The hobnail comes to a point and is not rounded. The top of the lamp is white bristol glass which is scalloped and holds the holder for the light bulb. I do believe the bulb holder has been replaced and it works fine. The bottom has the same white bristol glass scalloped pattern which the hobnail base sits on. Then you come to the square white bristol base which compliments the combination of above. The original cord remains attached and as mentioned above. The lamp works fine. There is a cut-out in the square bristol glass base ... morewhich allows for the cord to run through so the lamp sits squarely on the table. Hollywood Regency Bristol Glass Lamps with Gold Floral Design
Wonderful pair of vintage Hollywood Regency style table lamps crafted from hand blown Bristol glass. The lamps are in good shape and work well. The shapely frosted glass bodies boast a hand painted gold floral design with embossed accents. The round metal bases have a gold finish and felt bottoms. The bases show considerable wear/patina(probably from sunlight. This wonderful antique clear flower blossom shaped glass oil lamp font holder with old brass burner and font has a white painted torch and wreath pattern globe chimney. The glass font holder was made from a three piece mold and is marked on the bottom rim PAT. NO. 96991 which I found was from 1869. The top rim is ground. The fluer-di-lis pattern brass font and burner is marked on the wick nob B.B.CO. NEW YORK for the Bristol Brass Co. New York. The burner doesn't have a wick and does have cracks. The burner measures apprx. 6 1/4" high. The font holder measures apprx. 8" high 4" across the top opening 4 5/8" across the foot. It does have one 1/2" thin chip and two 3/8" chips around the inside top rim. The chimney measures apprx. 9 1/4" high 1 3/4" across top 3" across the bottom. It is nice ... morecondition. No chips or cracks. When I first acquired the oil lamp it had a clear glass font but it got broken. The whole oil lamp measures 18 1/2" high. At holiday time, I have put silk flowers inside the the holder to add color. Up for sale we have a beautiful Lamp that has been made from an Antique Bristol Art Glass Vase. Showing how old this vase is. The lamp goes back to the 1950's from the style of the base& Lamp Parts. The subject of the decoration is a beautiful Blue Wren Bird perched on Dogwood Flowered Branches. This is a tall lamp it measures 27 1/2" up to the pink finial. The Vase itself is 15" by 7" wide at the most Bulbous center area. The lamp is in very good condition. There are no breaks. Cracks or chips that we see on the lamp. There is a firing bubble on the back of the base that adds character to this Antique piece. There is also some wear to the paint in just a few spots.
