Antique Lyhne industrial shaded table lamp was patented in 1910 by Anker S. Lyhne amd sold by Beers Sales Company. Bridgeport, Conn. Made for home, office or workshop with a revolving reflector/shade to prevent glare. The lamp itself can be put in pretty much any angle from side to side or straight up according to the users need since the arm can be articulated with the dial. The shade can be moved from side to side or down also according to the users needs. The base is 6-1/2" in diameter. The arm is 8" long and the shade is 6-3/4" x 5-1/2" It has a brass finish with a cast iron base. It has at one time been rewired and the wire and cord are in fine condition. The base is marked Lyhne Lamp Patd July 12 10, Dec 19 11 USA. Of, course, it has been used and does show some wear on the brass finish.The reflector on the inside ... morealso shows some wear and the arm has a few surface rust spots on one side all consistent with its age and use. It works fine and the industrial design blends well with both modern and antique decor.

This is an all original Emeralite Desk Lamp# 7 by H. G. McFADDIN& CO. 40 Warren St, New York Four Periods Of Production Of The Emeralites. Bellova& Emeralite lamps were the creation of Harrison G.McFaddin. It was in 1909 that the first Emeralite lamp. As we know it today, was produced. On May 11, 1909 McFaddin's patent application for a new, original and ornamental design for lamp shades, were approved. Thus began the manufacture of Emeralite and Bellova lamp's that were to continue for fifty years. The production of Emeralite desk lamps over the years can readily be divided into four distinct period's. The first period began in 1909 and lasted until 1916 and is known as the 4378 series. The second period of production. Known as the 8734 serie's, began in 1916 and lasted until the 1930's. For your consideration is a pair of unique lamp bulb shades made of unknown metal. Perhaps brass, tin, or steel. They both have a wonderful hammered type finish. Making them uneven and individually unique. They are 5" at the widest point. Vintage Victorian Ruby Red 2-Light Parlor Floor Lamp Brass Finish w/Oil Font
This listing is for a Ruby Red Double Light Floor Lamp with an Oil Font. The shades are in good condition with no chips or cracks but when I turn the light on I see tiny pin holes in places where it looks like color is gone. These are so tiny that they can be repaired easily with tiny dots of paint. You do not see these when the lights are off. This Floor Lamp is the perfect size next to the sofa as it is not so tall that you cannot use it to read or see things. Size is 58 inches tall and 17 inches wide. Shade fitters are 7 inches wide each. The Brass is in excellent condition. This lamp is a beautiful and a very collectible Floor Lamp. It is impossible to determine with any certainty the origin of the vase without taking the lamp apart to see the porcelain marks. Dimensions: 25" height to the top of the finial. 4 ½" height of the metal base, 15 ½" height to the bottom of the bulb socket. The metal base is 8" long and 6" wide.
