VINTAGE BRASS& DARK CRANBERRY GLASS HANGING LAMPS This is a beautiful pair of hanging lamps in perfect condition. The lamps measure 10" from the opening at the top to the point at the bottom; the diameter is 6" at the widest part of the globes. M ade in India using their unique intricate detailing. Are bands of brass wrapped around dark cranberry glass globes. They are an elegant way to create soft lighting using candles, floating candles or oils. I wanted to put these lovely globes up for auction but the bracket on one of the hanging wall hooks had broken off so I took it to be welded. Please see pictures of the welding repair. I've also showed a picture of the bracket that is alright. The bracket is now firmly in place however there is a very small area on the front of the wall hook that has a little discoloration; I was ... moretold that it was cause from the heating temperature needed to do the repair. Antique Brass Two Candle French Bouillotte Lamp Rare Design. Candle height on this lamp is adjustable. an uncommon feature. I have found no other lamps of this type with adjustable candle height. Height of lamp is 21" x 10" wide. Circumference of base is 7 1/4" Candles can be raised 13" without the shade in place. And about 9 1/2" with a shade. There is no shade included with this sale. This lamp is offered as found with original patina. The wiring and guts are NOT original. It is possible to use this lamp with candles by removing the wiring. I have made no attempt to repair it. And I have tried to show all defects in the photos. SEE PHOTOS In spite of the defects. This lamp is quite repairable, and would be a VERY upscale lamp when finished. The dish base is not straight. And there is a hairline crack in the base ... moreof the dish. Base is still tight and solid. Brass nut under base appears to be hand made. Base of one candle is not tight. These French Empire Bouillotte Lamps make excellent student. Study, library or den table lighting. The Hollywood Regency designers are using them now also in their spaces. This one is a nice. Clean triple candlestick brass base with brass shade and metal mesh diffuser two light lamp. Push button switch at base turns On/Off. Very clean, very few concerns. I'd date this one to the late 50s/early 60s with original wiring(old straight prong plug) A detailed dusting in the cracks and corners and the metal diffuser at the top of the shade has a slight bump in it that causes the finial to look askew. It just needs to be flattened between some heavy books for a few hours and it will take any tilt you see in the finial out. Vintage Brass Pierced Jeweled Hanging Candle Holder Lamp/Tent Lamp
This auction is for a really neat vintage brass hanging candle holder/lamp shade that may have been made in Morocco. But its origin is unknown. The holder has a pierced pattern, along with six pierced/cut 6-pointed stars. It is decorated with seven raised, multi-colored inset glass( jewels" that almost look like scarabs. This lamp measures approx. 7 and 1/2" high with a circumference of about 16" The top opening is approx. 2 and 1/2" in diameter. There are three brass hanging chains, each about 7" in length, that connect to a hook at the top. I tried to take some photos of this lamp with a candle inside, but my candle was not the right size, so the effect of the colored jewels is somewhat diminshed in the pics. It works perfectly. and looks stunning on! The shade has spots of the paint missing. And a few very light scratches. The shade cross arm on the top has 2 more swan heads on either end holding the shade in place, these are a bit loose and may need some adjustment or tightening, they are rubbing when the shade moves and the shade moves because they are loose. The base is very heavy and has felt covering the bottom. It measures 25 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/4 inches across the bottom of the shade. An antique brass wall hanging candle sconce with a central circular mirror. As you can see from the photos the brass is decorated with scrolls. Leaves and berries. There are 2 sconces for holding the candles. The mirror is held in place from the back by a cast iron bracket. There is a hook on the back so that it can be hung from the wall. I would imagine this sconce dates to circa 1900. Condition. Very good. Just the odd minor bend to the edge but nothing that can really be seen from the front. There are some light scratches to the mirror. I have had this wall sconce professionally polished and lacquered so it will stay shiny for years. The sconces detach for easy transportation. Pair of Vintage Brass Spring Loaded Candle Lamps with Brass Pierced Shades
This auction is for a pair of unique vintage brass spring loaded candle stick lamps with brass pierced shades. The cylinder contains a spring which pushes the candle up to maintaining an evenly burning candle. The entire surface retains a nice mellow patina. Base is 6 inch tall and 5.25 inch wide. Candle tube is 6.5 inch tall and 3/4 inch and 1 inch diameter. Tube sits inside base and adds 1.5 inch. Shade sits on top of tube. Shade is 5 inch wide and 5 inch diameter. Lamp overall height is 10.75 inch. These lamps would be great inside or out. I have cleaned the dust off these lamps but I have not cleaned off the patina. I have removed the old candles and most of the wax. The lamps are in pretty good condition but there is some wear. There is a dent on one of the shades. ANTIQUE GOTHIC SANCTUARY LAMP W RED CANDLE FONT Offered is a beautiful Gothic antique sanctuary lamp circa 1880s. It boasts very ornate arms.Chains and is highly embellished. It still retains the red candle font. From the top of the hanging cup(part from which the three chains hang off) it is approximately 44" long and approximately 14" wide. With the chain included above the cap the overall total length is approximately 78" long. Length can be adjusted by removing some chain. This beautiful lamp is mostly solid brass but the embellishments are brass plate and some of it is worn off. The embellished parts are the flower garland, the crown which sits on the top of the font and the piece which rests on the font face. The best way I could describe it is anything that looks like an overlay are the embellished parts. Most of it ... moreis in very good condition and only parts of it have worn spots. It still displays beautifully and any minor flaws only adds to the vintage charm of this spectacular lamp. I notice a hook on the inside of the cup and at some point in its life it might have held a smoke bell which it no longer has.I am not sure if it ever held one. The extra links of chain are included.
