Metal portion of lamp measures 21" With wood base& lamp hardware 44-1/2" tall. The center of the lamp is 5" across at it's widest. It features a pierced scroll pattern(see through both sides) and overlapping fan motif on the solid sides. The upper part of the lamp measures 2-1/2" across and features a Phoenix Bird flying among the pretty floral& leaf design all the way around. Vtg Stilnovo Era Black Metal Gooseneck Desk Sconce Lamp & DIFFUSER Mid Century
Excellent vintage condition 50's or 60's black metal lamp. Lamp works flawlessly. Includes the very hard to find diffuser. Diffusers that clipped on to the bulb were generally thrown away so most are missing. This lamp has slots on the bottom so may be wall mounted to use as a sconce or wall light. The original cord has become soiled however still remains soft and supple. Bulb doesn't flicker when the on off switch is turned. Bulb not included. As shown measures about 12" X 12" on a 5" base. Vintage Wildwood Brass Trumpet Lamp with Black Metal Shade. Everything is original. I was going to touch up certain areas(example, see picture for chips on black base) but I thought I'd leave it to an expert who can retouch everything the right way and I didn't want to risk lowering the value on it. It's approx. 25" tall and 16" wide. The shade is some sort of black metal and the trumpet shaped base is some sort of brass. It has two pull chains and it works perfectly. The insides of the trumpet looks like at some point candles were in them which left a thin ring on the side of the trumpets, I didn't clean it because I thought it added character to the lamp. He studied at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Hammerborg started his carrier as a painter and. In 1949, he starts to work for Georg Jensen as a silversmith. In 1957 he becomes the head designer of Fog& Morup lighting company. Under the design leadership of Hammerborg, Fog& Mørup enjoyed its greatest successes, becoming one of the world’s leading lighting companies during the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to his own designs, Hammerborg coordinated the work of other designers such as Sophus Frandsen, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup, Jørgen Bo, Erik Balslev, Karen and Ebbe Clemmensen, Sidse Werner, Hans Due and Peter Avondoglio.
