Very carefully packed. Couldn't find any markings to identify a maker but it must be made by one of the top companies. Heavy. Plug is on for display purposes& will be shipped with the plug on. BOTH SIGNED, PATE DE VERRE AND BRONZE An extraordinary. Beautiful, well decorative French chandelier original from the era Art Déco from around 1920/30. The lamp holding is made of solid bronze wonderfully decorated. Signed and numbered on several parts. These signatures are only visiblel when the holding system is dismantled. The thick pâte de verre lampshades in royal blue with violet clouds going into white opaque give a wonderful harmonious play of colors Three of the four lampshades are signed ELF(Les etablissements Louis Fontaine) ELF has been a well known trading company in the years around 1920 placed at Neuilly sur Seine. In the ... moresuburb of Paris, trading different glass products from the glass manufacture André Delatte. These pâte de verre lampshades are therefore made by André Delatte, an artist whose glass ware was and still is highly appreciated due to their beauty and quality(see also google pictures) Condition: All elements are in top condition. Despite some very little traces due to its age(more than 90 years) and a very slight patina which underlines the authenticity. Only one miniscule screw. Which is not real visible, is not original. The lamp has been rewired and has bayonet sockets. The cable have a more finer diameter than standard and is only allowed for lamps. This kind of rewiring has been taken to guide and therefore to hide the cable in the holding system. For the USA it is recommended to ask a specialist and to adapt. If necessary, to American requirements. The lamp bulb should not be more than 40 Watt. I recommend using economy bulbs.
