ART NOUVEAU STYLING OIL LAMP WITH SATIN GLASS SHADE STUNNING LARGE VICTORIAN OIL LAMP This beautiful Victorian oil lamp stands an impressive 72cm to the top of the glass chimney. The base measures approximately 18cm in diameter. The brass base is absolutly stunning with an Art Nouveau repousse acanthus leaf design to the column which supports the large brass font displaying the same pattern. A few minute little dings to the base and one tiny mark on the edge of the brass collar. Barely noticeable but mentioned for accuracy. The lamp is a Globe Vulcan center draft burner. It has a new replacement flame spreader. The shade gallery is in good order and supports the beautiful satin glass pale pink shade which is moulded with the same acanthus leaf design interspersed with daisy type flowers. ART GLASS ETCHED AND DECORATED OIL LAMP TULIP SHADE, ART NOUVEAU, ARTS & CRAFTS
Up for auction is this rare art nouveau or arts& crafts tall tulip oil lamp shade. Stands approx 250mm. Ten inches tall, and 165mm max diameter. The base fitting is approx 87mm diameter, external, and 78mm internal. It fits a standard 88mm'porte globe' globe carrier found on many Kosmos type lamps, also Wizard and some small Vulkan burners. will also fit the 3&1/2 inch carriers found on some smaller burners. Main body is overall etched. With a 3 x repeated pattern of raised enamelled medallions and droppers in between. The thin green lines are in a very fine paint. Top frill is finished in a very pale' dusty' lime green finish with a slight irridescence to it, to simulate ancient roman glass that has been buried for 2,000 years. There are a couple of chips to the fitter base. And one flat flake to the edge of one frill ... morethat is hard to see, typical from use, worst is pictured. no other chips and NO CRACKS. Beautiful art glass oil lamp. Unsigned. Believed to be french from 1910-1920's. I found a picture of a piece of Legras in one of my books that is very similar but I can't say for sure. Wide& heavy base measures 9 1/2" wide by x 5 3/4" tall to threads. With burner it measures 8" tall.The burner was converted to electric. Knob is missing. Burner probably need to be replaced. I bought it because of the glass. Glass is a beautiful sea foam or bluish-green color. Gold enameling accents the the top& bottom of the base. No chips or cracks. The glass does has a dark mark that measures 2" long at the base(see last 2 pics) I have made no attempt to remove it. Not noticeable from the front. No chips or cracks. Bust and base are metal with brass hardware. The globe and reservoir are glass. The reservoir has frosted etched glass, and the globe is possibly acid etched(because of the"drip" marks that can be seen along the top and bottom edges) Takes a 1 inch wick Lamp is in very good to excellent condition. No chips or cracks, you will find a few fine age scratches. Comes with a wick, just add your own oil. I do not know the base metal. Hi. Up for grabs here is a stunning oil Kerosene lamp base. This is a deep blue glass(darker than the pic shows) Brass and cast iron base. The condition is superb, the only issues are a mild bruise on the top lip of the glass on the inside of the brass ring(see pic)some surface rust on the cast iron base and some spotting on the lower brass ring. Everything else is beautiful. This is about 8 1/4 inches tall, the base is 6 1/2 inches in diameter and the glass is about 5 1/4 inches in diameter. Very beautiful piece and much potential. Superb victorian clear etched crimped and frilled tulip The main shade and its etching is superb. Top rim has had a repair during its life and an area below the repair shows signs of a chip on the surface. Just the normal frits on the fitter rim. Antique Art Nouveau Oil Lamp Shade Opaque Glass with Enamelled Pink Tulips 1890 Here we have a very decorative art nouveau period oil lamp shade. Possibly French. It is made of opaque white glass and has been mould blown and with a cut. Scalloped rim. The low relief design of frilled ege tulip flowers has been hand coloured with pink enamels. The shade dates from around 1890 and it looks beautiful when lit. Giving off a soft, pinkish glow. The shade is 6 7/8ths inch high and the base diameter is 2 1/2 inches. At the widest point it is approx 5 1/2 inches wide. Condition is good- see above for details- and it weighs 306g unpacked. This is a great item to complete a late Victorian period oil lamp. Up for auction is this attractive Pink/ cranberry satin art glass shade for a miniature oil lamp. Standing 10 cms. 4 inches, high and 12 cms across the widest part at top. It has a plain base hole, which suits small Kosmos burners, 8 line or 10 line size, particularly those with a concave curved wide shoulder on which it sits nicely. Inside diameter of the base hole is 47mm. Does vary a little! There are NO chips. NO cracks and NO burst bubbles. Bottom rim is a little rough from manufacture. Rings like a bell when pinged. RARE AMBER ART GLASS KEROSENE OIL LAMP COMPLETE WITH SHADE AND BURNER WORKING
Up for auction is this superb Amber glass table oil lamp complete with original brass 10 line size kosmos burner. With correct wick, chimney and opal glass shade. The lamp is blown in bright amber coloured glass. With a hollow foot and stem which is hand- attached in the works to the fount making up a one-piece lamp. As you can see the lamp is decorated with applied'prunties' made of crystal glass as well as a skirt to the column. No cracks or chips or missing decoration. The underside has an open. Sheared-off scar where a pontil rod, used for holding the base whilst the fount was applied, was subsequently sheared off. This is normal on these lamps. The lamp stands 11 inches to the top of the brass collar. And the foot is 6 inches diameter. Total height is 22 inches to the top of the chimney, and max width, across the widest part ... moreof the shade, is 9 inches. Lamp is complete with original brass 10 line sized Kosmos oil burner. With integral shade holder. Fitted with a decent wick, correct sized old glass chimney and topped by an original opal(white) glass dome shade with rolled out top rim. Being handmade the shade is slightly un-even in shape, base rim( hidden in brass gallery) has the usual roughness from manufacture. Rings like a bell and eggshell thin. Looks stunning lit and just as good with the light shining through the glass on a sunny windowsill. No cracks. Chips, missing decoration or burst bubbles. Brass collar is firm with original plaster fixing. Shade support structure is secure and not wonky! Check out my other lots. Save on postage! P&P.
