It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Lamp is in working condition. The socket does need a small brass casing as it is missing. This is one of two similar lamps recently purchased from an estate. Marked on the bottom: P A. for Plume& Atwood in Thomaston Connecticut who started in business in 1871. Heavy cast base with a bronze or brass finish. Trunk up Elephant in a walking step with one foot raised. The base resembles a rock or stone ground with tinges of Red. The Elephant holds a round beaded disk in his trunk that attaches to the flame or lotus like open top. This holds an old paper covered lamp socket with faux candle drip and a Bakelite knob. The original wall plug. Which is included, but has been removed(for safety sake) is a very old rubber plug. The copper shank is included which when recorded will hold the bulb socket. Nude with Sash circa 1925 A set of bookends is listed in Kuritzky and De Costa’s book Collector’s Encyclopedia of Bookends and are titled Nude with Sash(multi-tier) They are marked DES PAT APPL FOR with the company identified as x-2. The Encyclopedia rates the bookends a rarity of 5. 5 is the highest rarity rating. There are single tiered sets of these bookends. Which are not marked, yet also highly valued. But I am not offering bookends. I am offering the multi-tier Nude with Sash in lamp form. Said to be manufactured by the company x-2. Although never identified, this company has been attributed to various art deco nudes including"girl in wreath" and"girl in circle" I have once seen. Here on eBay, the multi-tier nude with sash in lamp form, and from the homework I have done, I understand ... moreshe is extremely rare. The lamp depicts a beautiful lady bearing all with no inhibitions. Only a scarf in hand. Elegantly she tilts her head back to rest gently on her shoulder, arms raised with the scarf draped to the floor. The multi-tiered stepped base her staircase to the stage. She is made of cast iron with a well worn copper gilded finish. The darkened areas of the patina only add and accentuate the sleek and supple curves of her body. The patina of this lamp has never been disturbed by paint. Enamel, polishing, or anything; it is very raw. There is a small amount of rust on the tiers(see pictures) And a small green spot(indicating copper) under where the cord exits the light socket from the lady’s bottom(again, see pictures) Marked on the back: DES PAT APPL FOR meaning During Examination Status. Patent Applied For. The lamp is fully functional but I know it has been rewired as the original came with a pull chain and was wired with period appropriate wiring(scary! I believe this was rewired sometime in the forties or fifties due to the nature of the cord plug(GE) Which has a built-in fuse. I would recommend rewiring for safety. I have searched the internet and I have not been able to find another lamp like this one. This is a very unique art deco lamp with a lady figure. On the back it is stamped DES Pat Appl For. I am not sure of it's age but it looks very old. The lamp stand about 8" tall to the top of the socket. There is no shade. The lamp works great. It appears to be copper plated or bronzed cast iron. Nice Vintage Antique Art Deco Cast Iron Expert Dragon Bird Floor Lamp Rewired
This is a heavy duty. Quality antique floor lamp that seems to be almost entirely made of cast iron with a bronze finish that is nearly 100% intact with little wear. It is marked Expert Lamp Mfg. Co. underneath and numbered 502. The only visible rust is on the bottom of the base. It was re-wired, working, cleaned, and oil rubbed to protect the finish and prevent rust formation. Both sockets are new and have pull-chains. There is a large original art deco finial on the top that sits slightly lopsided(I haven't tried to straighten it) but it screws on tightly. It has a very unusual design with a large, heavy cast iron piece in the middle of the post that has a bird-like dragon head on both sides, and another large, heavy cast iron piece toward the base with birds on both sides. The base has art deco designs cast all the way around, and ... morethe post itself is cast with a spiral pattern from top to bottom. The lamp measures 65" tall with the finial. And the base measures 10" across. It will be partially disassembled, packed well, and insured during shipping.

Each of the 8 sides of the shade is 7" the total diameter is 16" I believe it is made out of cast iron, though it has some patina. Heavy. The glass shade is held together by ornately designed brass or bronze chevrons and ribbons. One of the ribbon is missing the top, but if you turn it towards the wall no one will ever notice. I would guess it to be from the first years of the 20th century from the time when the great(and expensive) Tiffany and Handel lamps were made. It is very unique, as most antiques are. Up For Sale is 2 16" Table Lamps. The base Measures 5-1/2" They are Cast with gold gilt. The shades pieces are Mica. On the bottom of both lamps they are" M L 1693" These were purchased form a upscale Estate here in NY. They do have age wear& some nice patina with the green effect. On the upper part of the lamps, they are a crack identical on both. Not sure if this is from age or was were made this way. The one lamp looks to have had a new socket insert installed. It has a great art deco look with house glass sections. It stands 56-1/2” tall and you will be very pleased with it. Because of its size the lamp will have to be slightly unassembled for shipping. The top arm and base will have to be undone but will simply have to be threaded back on. No tools or No rewiring will be necessary. It will go back together very easily, I promise. 1930's Art Deco Painted Cast Iron Parrot Lamp Figure Part
This little bird has most of it's original paint intact with lovely patina from wear and age. He measures approx. 8" by 8" and is currently screwed on to a 9" wooden stand. He has a newer chain attached to his neck. There is a stamp on his stand that says"pat apld for" He is pretty heavy weighing about 3# I only charge actual shipping costs. Antique Cast Iron Art Deco Peacock Lamp by A.W. REISER Toledo, Ohio
This decorative lamp was part of my parents antique collection and they have had it for many years. It is heavy cast iron and has a little bulb inside the sculpted"tree" that casts light like a sunset on the orange tinted background giving off a charming sunset glow effect. A peacock is featured on the left front side of the lamp looking inward toward what I would describe as a garden area. The front of the lamp is painted a dark green with some of the sculpted relief painted red(floral area in front of tree and the flowered area to the right of peacock) Light is switched on and off(turns on/off easily) by turning a brass knob on the back of the lamp. Lamp is very heavy and has cast sturdy heavy feet on the bottom. Approx lamp measurements are 8" tall(at tallest point) x 8" wide x 3 1/8" deep(at deepest point front ... moreto back on lamp) PLEASE NOTE: The plug looks quite old and should be replaced with a safer one.please look closely at the pictures. Especially the close up of the plug and where the cord goes into the lamp to determine electrical plug condition. On the face of the plug it appears that someone cut a cardboard"cap" facing around the prongs and it looks unsafe! I will leave it to the purchaser to take responsibility for safe cord replacement. The lamp itself appears to be in good condition. And I see no dents, however, the paint is lightly rubbed off in a few areas.but overall, the lamp paint has a nice patina. There are some faint marks(zoom in on pics) on the"sunset" orange background part of the lamp that might possibly be cleaned, but I did not dare attempt. I have provided numerous pictures for you to look closely at the lamp's condition, and consider the pictures the best description as to condition. Lamp is sold AS IS. VINTAGE ART DECO CAST IRON BRIDGE FLOOR LAMP WITH FIGURE AND SHIELD
Today I am offering a vintage cast iron floor lamp This lamp measures about 53 3/4" tall.The base.Rod and top arm are cast iron.There has a figure on top of the arm,along with what looks like a shield or emblem in original red paint.The base has floral patterns on the sides with red paint also.The top figure has a letter W on one side and a number 2 on the other side.The lamp does work,but the end of the plug doesn't have a cover.I would also recommend this to be rewired.I will have to take this apart to ship,you will have to screw the top and base together this is rather easy as they are both threaded.Shade will be shipped separately.The iron and shade can use a cleaning.Would look great refurbished.Bulb not included.Please view all photos below for condition etc.Feel free to email me with any questions prior to bidding.
