This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. TIFFANY LAMP BASE, VERY RARE, BRONZE, ART NOUVEAU, ARTS AND CRAFTS, MISSION
SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY. PLEASE You are viewing a very rare Tiffany solid bronze lamp base. It is not signed but I can guarantee that it is Tiffany. Tiffany signed most of their items. But not all, as any Tiffany dealer or expert would attest. It was purchased(along with the Tiffany shade in my other auction, if still available) at a Chicago auction gallery and guaranteed by them as Tiffany. An identical SIGNED base also appears in a Christie's auction catalog of the 90's. This is a very special base. Its design evokes organic root/plant forms, gnarled sinuous tree trunks and branches. a strong Art Nouveau influence. To me it looks like something Antoni Gaudi or Hector Guimard would have designed. Being of natural forms makes it ideal for an Arts and Crafts Style placement but also very modern spaces. The proportions are exquisite. A very nice mission arts and crafts helmet desk lamp.In very good condition.This lamp is extremely heavy for it's size.Mostly made from solid brass with a very large cast iron base weight.It has a very nice rich brown patina in good overall condition.This lamp is very finely constructed and was probably made by Bradley and Hubbard.The original Bryant pull chain socket is in perfect working order.The original switch was replaced at one point.It has been completely rewired and has a new antique type braided cord.It's ready to use and enjoy.One shade nut was missing on the left side of the lamp so I installed a cap nut that works very well.It measures 13" tall.The shade is 7-1/2 wide by 4-1/2" tall.The base is 6" wide by 4" deep.It will be extremely well packed for a safe shipment.Please use Pay Pal for payment.Please ... morepay within three days of the end the auction unless prior arrangements have been made.No international shipping.Thanks

Antique Handmade Arts & Crafts - FOLK ART - Mission Wooden Lamp
This is a super period Arts& Crafts/ Mission desk lamp. It is all handmade by an individual( not a mass produced company production piece) It is completely composed of solid Oak. Including the curved lamp shade element! The post or arm, from the base, also has a hand painted" floral" design/motif, and then on either side of the post are two" stepped" wood openings for photos to be inserted. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. The lamp will need to rewired, as it has the original cloth covered wiring and the original plug. I did not plug it in to see if it works in it's present condition, but the rewire job would be a quick and easy fix. This attractive assembly features a 1895-1915 iron framed art glass shade and a shop made mission base from the 1920s-30s. It measures 21 ½” tall with 6” square base and stands 14 ¾” to the base of the light socket. Th base is hand made of solid walnut with original dark finish and is mounted with solid copper rivets. The shade measures 7” tall x 12” square and shows wear. Rust, flaking paint and pitting to the frame. 3 of the art glass panes are cracked. The lamp works but needs to be rewired. Antique Carved Art Deco Mission Arts Crafts Opaque Glass Lampshade Color Fruit
This is a small antique opaque glass lampshade with a carved or acid etched design. Then handpainted, age and maker unknown, either Arts and Crafts, Mission, or possibly Art Deco? It is 3 5/8" x 4" wide, in excellent condition. There are 6 carved/ raised panels, 3 black frames with a leaf diamond design above and below it, and 3 beautiful carved hanging fruit and leaf panels, handpainted in bright orange, and muted blue and green. The base glass is a mottled pale neutral with a hint of green. There is a raised tip on top where the shade probably rested on the original lamp base. A gorgeous shade. Buyer pays shipping. GORGEOUS MISSION ART & CRAFTS STAINED GLASS OAK LAMP
Wonderful example of a Mission Art& Craft movement. Very interesting. Beautiful and elegant table lamp. An unusual and unique design. Made of oak. Phenomenal leaded colorful glass and copper. It looks the pieces which support the shade are missing but could be replaced. The copper portion of the lamp originally might had some attachments. Oil lamp clear glass is included and at the present time supporting the shade. Couple of small copper corner pieces from the shade is also missing.
