20s French Art Deco quilt in over the top ROMANTIC ROSES Arts & Crafts Era Rare!
This quilt is massive. In wonderful museum quality condition and dates from the early 1920s with a true arts and crafts pattern of warp printed roses. French Art Deco fabric at it's best the size of this quilt betrays the fact that this was made by a wealthy person nearly 100 years ago who could afford the very best. It measures a massive 90"X 73" It's stuffed with cotton, winter weight-and is machine bound and hand tied. Fully reversible a whole cloth quilt of really the most favorite of my roses patterns I've sold over the years. It's not often made anymore warp weave print at least not in the Western world it's somewhat cost prohibitive to create today which is hilarious to think about-remember this fabric was handprinted but today's machines don't do it as well and people don't like it for they ... moredon't get it's supposed to look sort of blurry like it got wet, like a watercolor painting by a Cassat or a Sargent, symbolic of the shades of roses as well as the pattern in itself. Really a charming and usable antique I saw no damage no holes or stains if it's faded it's evenly. I don't think that it has been washed the fabric has that crisp starched feeling of the original sizing but it is still soft, clean and has been aired out on my seaside clothesline. It's a great piece and the fabric is bar none really wonderful.

ARTS & CRAFTS ERA ARTIST-SIGNED ORGANIC RING STERLING & BLUE ART GLASS STONE
Description: Authentic antique Arts and Crafts ring with an organic design. Size 7-1/4, in sterling silver with a large translucent blue art glass stone. During that era, Louis Comfort Tiffany used colored glass in his works and that inspired other artists to use colored glass in their own creations. I do not know whether the surface of the glass stone was always matte as it is now or whether it may originally have had a more polished look that wore down over the years. In any case, the surface of the glass stone has a matte, dull finish and shows even wear. This ring is size 7-1/4. The design area measures 1-1/2 inches long X 5/8 inch wide. On the back the ring is very well hallmarked with a raised stylized letter R inside a diamond-shaped cartouche. This is a wonderful Arts and Crafts ring, in very good As Described condition. Rare Byrdcliffe White Pines Art Pottery Arts & Crafts Stickley Era
Very rare and hard to find Byrdcliffe White Pines Pottery pocket vase. It is unclear how many pieces of White Pines Pottery were produced but it is thought to be in the low hundreds. Obviously few have survived and they rarely come to market. Beautiful design with eucalyptus leaves typical of the pottery. Jane Whitehead had ties to Santa Barbara and studied under Frederick Rhead. She also sold many of these pots in the Santa Barbara area. According to page 115 in The Cornell University Book Byrdcliffe An American Arts& Crafts Colony: Although most of the vases survive today have glazes of a single overall color effect. A few were decorated by painting and some others carried low-relief decoration that was suggested in the plaster mold and further worked by hand. All of the decorated vases-whether painted or modeled-feature the leaves ... moreand berries of the eucalyptus tree. Very nice condition with no cracks or hairlines. Glaze is thin on bottom tip and handle edges which appears to be original. Circa early 20th century. Measures 8.5" long. These pieces very seldom come onto the market especially with such a desirable decoration. This is one of two vases to come out of an upstate New York estate. Don't miss out on a piece from one of the most important Arts& Crafts Colonies of the period.

Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts Era, Victorian Chocolate Velveteen Fabric Panel
Art Nouveau. Arts and Crafts Era, Victorian Chocolate Velveteen Fabric Panel Offered here is an amazing piece of fabric. It is a genuine printed chocolate velveteen panel from the Art Nouveau or Arts& Crafts Era. Made between 1860 thru 1910 this piece would also be considered Victorian. I am not sure what the original purpose was for this panel. It has a fringe that is sewn into the fabric on three sides and there are tassels that have been attached to a double row of threads that could be pulled creating gathers that would have allowed this piece to become not only fringed. But scalloped along the bottom edge. The colors on this piece are a deep reddish chocolate, not burgundy as it appears in my photos) pale mint green, ivory and a very deep cobalt blue that is almost black. The edge of the last picture in this listing is the best representation ... moreof the background color of this piece. This is a thick fabric panel that measures 84" wide by 27" deep. It has no tears, holes or stains and the only issue I could find is that it is missing one tassel. The fringe is completely intact and the overall Art Nouveau pattern is striking. This is a wonderful find for anyone who collects vintage textiles! Please feel free to ask any questions and please take a look at all enlarged pictures before bidding. Please Note: Shipping quotes listed here are for shipping within the continental United States only. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii please write for a personal shipping quote as shipping will be higher to your location. Also. Art Nouveau Austrian Arts crafts Antique Bradley Hubbard Handel Era Cat Lamp
Up for auction. From estate. Listen up cat lovers, I have the perfect antique piece for you. This Very Rare Art Nouveau Austrian Arts crafts Antique Bradley Hubbard Handel Era Cat cast iron Lamp. I have never seen anything like this before, it's so eye appealing, it's hard to stop looking at it. And sure to amaze all your friends and family. I did a little research, a lamp just like this was sold at November 2006 Fine Art& Antiques Auction Catalog Aspire Auctions, Inc. for $212. Back then it was valued at $150-$300 I don't know what it's worth now. There are a lot of similar ones made of bronze that sell cheaper, but very few made of cast. Don't be fooled by imitations. About this lamp. An unusual black wrought iron lamp in the shape of a stretching cat with its tail raised to hold a glass hurricane. The cat stands ... moreon an arched framework. The cat is cast in several parts and has green glass eyes. The shade is newer. The lamp measures 16-1/4"H x 7-1/2" x 5-1/2"W. The lamp still works great. Only flaws 2 small chips on the inside rim of glass seen in the pictures. Easy replacement with any shade. The last one of these was sold on ebay for $236 so I will set buy it now for $200. For quick sell. Otherwise bid. Good luck. Posted with
Arts & Crafts Era Pewter Cigarette Box,Hollywood Art & Craft Shop Early 1900s
This little pewter cigarette box. Made in the early 1900s, by Hollywood Art& Craft Shop is rare. I couldn't find another one like it anywhere and the few pieces that I did find by this maker were of bronze. The bottom is stamped with the maker's name and beneath it an"E" and an"S" separated by a crossed pick and hammer. Beneath that is stamped"Pewter" The inside depth is about 2-7/8" and the diameter is about 2-1/2" With the lid it is about 3-3/4" tall. It is in very good condition with heavy patina. I have done nothing to it so that the new owner can decide whether or not to polish. Nice collectible and/or understated decorative piece. It is an estate find and is being sold as is. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking. Fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, ... moreother types of storage odors or pets. To avoid the expense of shipping. Pick up may be arranged in SE CT. If this is a convenient option, please email me prior to making payment so that I may adjust your invoice. The maker is unknown. I believe it is sterling because it has the look and feel of sterling silver. But it has not been tested. It weighs 42 grams, and you will have to decide if you believe it is sterling. It has hinged lids on each side that are hand hammered with bands that are gold colored. I have not determined if the gold bands are plated or inlaid. The front side is engraved with monogrammed initials BBMV. The inside of each lid has a mirror that are undamaged and have some minor cloudiness. The compact, ring, ... moreand chain have some tarnish and the piece needs to be polished. There are a couple of tiny dents on the side with the lid catches and a couple of other tiny dents in areas on the other sides, the hinges work just fine, and the lids snap shut. Rare Art Crafts Era leather jewelry travel case-ornate brass handle, satin lined
This interesting and beautiful item is(I think) a small jewel case that would have been used when traveling. It is leather on the top in a rich patinated chestnut brown with a wonderful Arts and Crafts Era brass handle. On the bottom it is also leather with four tiny brass feet. Inside is lined in a midnight blue satin. An unusual feature is that the sides are formed like an accordian. So the case can expand to accomodate its contents. The case closes securely with a metal clasp that slides across to open or lock closed. The clasp is a little hard to move and can probably be oiled, but works well as is and certainly is not going to suddenly pop open. The leather top is nicked and scuffed. Slightly stained and altogether beautiful the way leather gets when it is used-the ornate brass handle mount and handle are super with a rich patina, and ... moreabsolutley functional. Inside the satin is a little worn but very good. The bottom is also in good condition with some slight scuffing. The accordian part, which I think is a thin suede or leather, is very good with no tears or even much wear. The metal frame around the opening is slightly bent on one side as shown. As though someone tried to pry this open. Everything closes well but I would worry that a small object or something thin would slip through where the frame doesn't quite meet. This little case is 7" x 6" with a depth(expanded) of maximum 2" RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fvo%7B%3Dd70f%2Bf54%3E-1449fa3d209-0x104-

Antique ART NOUVEAU/Arts Crafts Era Andirons~Flowers/Floral~Brass/Iron~Victorian
Exceptional set of ornate floral andirons. They have a strong Art Nouveau influence. But look fabulous in a Victorian home. Ornate brass details. Including fabulous wild rose flowers on the top, and ornate legs. Solid and substantial, most likely made c. 1910-1920. The base is forged iron and pivots. They look to have been painted selectively at one time. I intended to take a heat gun to them and remove it. But never got around to it. As long as I can get the nut attaching the brass decorative part to the iron section to loosen. I will be disassembling for shipping, as I think they will travel better this way. They measure approximately 10" across the feet. 19.5" tall, and 18" deep. I mentioned that they pivot, which allowed me to display them in a more shallow fireplace.
Vintage Mailbox! Solid and Original from the Art Deco & Arts and Crafts era
Offered is a very good condition vintage mailbox. It is made of heavy gauge sheet metal with decorative square designs attached and has two brackets for a rolled newspaper or magazine. The turn key opens the front of the box to allow access to the contents. But in keeping with the good ol' days, it was never intended as a security device. A small film slides on the inside and uncovers the Peek-a-boo holes to let you know if the mail has arrived! It has no identifying marks that I could locate but I've seen the box on Tudor style homes that I believe were built in the 20's or 30's. The mailbox fits neatly into a USPS medium flat rate box but I will ship the least expensive way possible if it works to your advantage. Good luck!

Rare Mid Century Arts & Crafts Eames Era Art Deco Square Slag Glass Bowl 40s 50
This outstanding American Made square bowl is in very nice condition. There are no chips or cracks however the scallop edging feels rough along the outside of the bowl. There is what I will call a small open vein of greyish color along the top that is clearly seen in the last photo. I don't think it's a crack but. it could be. I am not a collector and this is just my non professional opinion. This bowl measures about 6.5 inches long 2.75 inches high and just about 4 inches from front to back. It's thick and heavy and the swirling colors are very warm and inviting. I know this is old because I remember it from when I was a young child mom kept her bobby pins in it. I'm in my 60s. I am moving and must travel light. I will package very carefully. If I am in the wrong category or misnamed this item I sure would appreciate someone ... moresending me in the right direction. Antique Old Mission Era Arts & Crafts Favrille Aurene Style Lamp Shade Art Glass
Antique Old Mission Era Arts& Crafts Favrille Aurene Style Lamp Shade Art Glass A nice antique art glass Mission Arts& Crafts Era lampshade. It is in fair condition with some very minimal wear from age and use and a chip along the upper rim edge- that would be under the mount when on a lamp(see photos) I do not see a maker's name on this item. But it looks to be possibly Steuben or Tiffany to me. It measures about 5 inches high, 2 inches at the upper mount side opening and 5 inches wide at the base rim edge. I would date it to be 75 +/ years old. If you know the maker of the shade just let me know and I will update the listing. FREE Insured SHIPPING in the USA. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
Trench art stickley era brass vase arts and crafts pinecone motif roycroft era
Fantastic arts and crafts vase done with a pinecone motif band near the top. This is a shell casing piece but I would hardly call it the common term of"trench art" I believe this to have been made in a shop. By a very skilled craftsman. I can find no reference to attribute the work to any particular maker. It is obviously skillfully done, with exceptional attention to detail. I've shown many pictures with different angles. It has shell casing markings on the bottom that are hard to make out. But I believe it says"eighteen pounder" referring to the size of the shell. The patina is absolutely wonderful and looks better than any shell casing patina i've ever seen. The repou sse pinecone work is extremely detailed and well crafted. The top of the vase has a rolled rim with an area of oxidation in one spot. As pictured. ... moreNo other damage to patina or structure, anywhere. The vase stands a little over 11" tall. And approx 4" wide, being a little wider at the rim. This is a fantastic vase that will fit right in with your roycroft and van erp copper pieces. It may even get more attention than some of those makers pieces! It's that nice! Free shipping to the lower 48 states! Please see my other auctions for more arts and crafts items!

Then upon receipt they claim the item is"not as described" and ask for a substantial discount. Sometimes the item has a miniscule defect or condition not caught by the seller, and sometimes not. Since ebay now permits things to be returned to the seller FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER most sellers will capitulate, avoid the hassle, and give the buyer the refund they demand. I have done this myself s
