It is slightly out of round measuring about 10" x 9 1/4" x on one side 1 7/8" high and on the other going up to 2 1/4" high. It is in very good vintage condition with a nice patina. On the bottom there three black scorch marks where it looks like someone might have set it down on a hot burner. It is not deep and the signed name on the bottom- Munising- is still clearly visible. It is a really nice decorative bowl what would go well with any collection. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Munising bowls hail from their namesake town. Nestled on the South Bay of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Workers at Munising Woodenware Company, in business from 1908 to 1955, machine-lathed each vessel out of hardwood, usually maple, from the forests nearby. The factory produced other household items, such as butter molds, spoons and breadboards. The goods were sold at department stores, where many found their way onto wedding registries. During World War II, the factory fashioned 50 million tent stakes for the Army and the Marines. Of the many items the company made, the bowls were among the few types of pieces branded with its name. Antique turned wood(faux bamboo) table lamp base Edwardian Probably dating from c1900-1920 the lamp stands 10.25" high and the base is 4.75" in diameter. It is in good order and ready for wiring. I'm sorry about my less than excellent photography- If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures please email me CONDITION: Unless clearly stated otherwise my listings are for pre-used. Vintage and antique items and therefore are not going to be in the same condition you'd expect from a new product. I always endeavour to describe items accurately identifying any major faults. Pair of Antique Carved Wood Lamps w/ Original Red Bole, Black Paint & Gilding
This pair of carved wood lamps dates to app. 1920 and are in excellent condition. The wiring is new. And we carefully lacquered the finish to preserve it. There is some minor paint loss, but not bad. The carving sits atop a brass base. To the top of the shade is 21" to the top of the carved arms is 11" the lamps are 9 1/2" wide at the arms. They could have been Italian made bases for cathedral candelabra which were then wired mid century. Wired with new three way lamp sockets. The lampshade shown is one of a pair, shades are not included but can be had for $75.00 per shade. The shades are custom painted oval parchment and are in excellent condition. The wood pole is a substantial piece– 12-1/2” diameter solid base maple base with a hole in the center for wiring. Antique Gas Lamp Lighter Brass New York Wood Handle
You are bidding on a brass"arm" used to light gas lights or lamps from about 1880 to 1916. In 1916. Gas lights were no longer used as street lights. The brass is marked" New York" It is approximately 28 1/2" long. With a wooden handle. The curved top was used to push up the glass dome of the lamp and the small round piece that goes out to the side housed a wick that would ignite the gas. Antique Wood Brass Cast Iron Carriage Lamp foyer table desk lamp
This is a beautiful antique table lamp with a heavy cast iron base with a carved wooden post and a Carriage like bevel glass(encased) shade. This shade is a metal tin painted a matte black color. There is a couple of scuffs and nicks on paint but not bad and easy to fix. The lamp is sturdy, stands up straight, and measures about 16 1/2" tall and 6" wide at base. This lamp weighs more than 4 lbs. There are scuffs and scratches on the wood post of this lamp- only from previous use and wear from age. There are straight hairline cracks in the wood post but it looks like this is how the wood is placed together, like a wainscoting design. Not sure of type of wood- could be walnut? The carriage like looking shade has beveled clear glass panes framed in metal with brass top. None of the clear glass panes are chipped or cracked. Bronze & wood lighthouse lamp - blinking flasher - antique
This lamp is nice.really. Really nice! First let me state it has a blinker in it that can be removed if so desired by taking out the two wood screws on the bottom and removing the bulb. I have shown both sides of the blinker and believe me.it's old. On one side it says, Capy 60 Watts 125 Volts/ Price 25 c" and that"c" has a slash through it meaning, cents. On the other side it says, Flasher Button/ Patented" There is a very old pull chain mfor turning the lamp on or off and luckily the lamp has been rewired and is therefore quite safe for use. It measures about 13 1/4" tall and the base is about 9 1/4" across. It works beautifully and the patina is just great. Antique green slag glass, the color striations are wonderful and all the glass is original and intact. The lamp even has its original green glass beaded fringe. Now there are some missing beads, but it displays wonderfully. The base is filigree iron with wood. The underside of the base looks like it has"510" stamped into it. The light has a pull chain which works well. The cord has an old fashioned outlet plug but newer wiring. Measures 20 1/2 inches high and 12 inches wide. It just needs a good home! Unique pineapple wood and plaster lamp base. Probably Italian, chipped gesso and gilding. This lamp could use some TLC. I bought this lamp from a dealer who imported antiques from France and Italy. I’d hoped to have it restored. It would look beautiful with a shade. There is no wiring, but there is a channel for a cord. It is 16 1/2 inches tall and the width of the base is 6 1/4 inches wide.
