The vintage Cupid brass figure is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and the lamp with the shade stands around 18 inches tall. It is on a solid marble base. My estimate for the figure and base is around the 1930s and it has a French look to it. The beautiful thing is that it has been rewired professionally. So no worries about the wiring. Also, the shade is newer and looks pretty nice, but the statue is exquisite 1930s beauty. It has excellent detail like a great sculpture. It has its original patina. Nothing on the statue is broken, cracked. The nose has a bit of wear like somebody was rubbing it, but that makes it charming. I tried to capture the nose in the photographs. This is a smaller lamp. So please consider the size of 9 inches is. The size of the statue. Again, this is quality. I purchased this from an estate. The house was way over $1 million. I like the shade, but it isn't original to the lamp. This lamp would look beautiful with an antique shade in my opinion. This lamp has been in my wifes family for at least 50+ years. She inherited it from her Grandmother. The sale does not include the shade as it makes it more difficult to ship safely. I will include it for an addition $15.00 shipping and ship it seperate. It is in good shape but has a frey on one corner that can be fixed as shown in the picture. It measures about 14 1/2" tall. The lamp is in good very shape with just normal wear for it's age. There are no chips or cracks. Antique Vintage Cast Iron Green Stained Slag Glass Angel Cherub Table Lamp
You are bidding on a Vintage Table Lamp. I can find no maker's mark on the lamp itself. There was some information on the old socket. But I think it was just the socket maker, and it has since been replaced with a new one. This lamp is about 22 inches tall with the shade on it. The base of lamp has a square that is about 7.5 x 7.5 inches. The shade is very heavy. It is made of a green stained/slag glass that is very heavy, but light still passes through it very nicely. It measures about 12 inches in diameter and it is about 7.5 inches tall. This lamp weighs a total of just under 12 pounds. When I found this lamp, the socket did not work so I took it to a lamp shop and had the socket replaced, the cord is still the same. The lamp works now just as it should. It has slide mechanism to turn it on or off. There is a finial on the top that ... moreyou remove by screwing it off and then you have access to remove the shade. The shade support is also removeable by pinching the two sides and it comes out of the groove by design. Condition- It is pre-owned and well used. The metal parts of the base and shade have oxidation and discoloration but that definitely adds a nice patina to the piece. The inner glass is intact. There could be a few small flea bites where the glass jostles around because it is just held in place by metal prongs. The lamp works, as stated the socket is new, but the cord was left because I wanted to leave the lamp as original as possible. As far as the age of the piece, I really have no idea, my research has come up empty. It really is a beautiful lamp, and if nothing else, its definitely aesthetically pleasing to look at. The winged cherub/putti stands on a metal pillar and marble base holding a torch OF GOLDEN LEAVES FLARING OUT INTO A 3 LIGHT FIXTURE with 3 glass shades. Inside the lamps have cardboard fittings which also dates it. Art Deco. Authentic Period Lighting, interior decorators, bed and breakfast decorators and anyone wanting an authentic period lighting, this lamp could be yours! I have researched for several months now and cannot find another like this with 3 lights. It is a heavy painted metal with marble foot. It measures 24 inches in height. Top width is 16 inches. Base is 8 inches. Wt is heavy at 14 pounds. My best guess is circa 20s maybe earlier! I can see the original wiring at the bottom of the lamp where it has been spliced in a later decade. The original wiring is cloth wrapped ... moreor possibly silk and it has a sheen to it. Works as is. Have to plug it in to turn on. I can send more pictures which show the original wiring if needed. It works like this but you can see the splicing on the bottom so I would definitely have it rewired by your local expert. The last picture shows an area where the 3 cords come through and that area turns. I did not turn all the way and I don't know anymore than that. I have left it alone! The lamp has no serious issues. No breakage or repairs. Quite original with it's beautifully aged patina to the metal but has few areas of the paint scratched. Here is a pair of shabby little cherub lamps! So cute! They have just the right amount of shabbiness. With a few paint loss chips here and there, just the way we love them! They are both wearing a soft baby blue ribbon around them while holding a bird in their hand. One lamp does work, the other probably would but the very end of the cord was cut off for some reason. It was this way when I purchased them, and since I don't have room to use them, we did not repair the cord. I'm not selling the beaded cover. But use that as an example to give you some ideas. Antique cherub cast metal vintage lamp from Mr. Winter's estate NH light find
Up for sale is this great lamp which was discovered in a historical house of Mr. Winter's who resided in New Boston. NH. He had a great collection which most was donated but this lamp was given to me when the estate was liquidated. It stands 30 inches tall from bottom to top of where the shade would sit. It is heavy a cast metal I believe. It has a great pair of cherubs and great detail in each part. the cord is in good shape although old it is not frayed and lamp turns on and off great. The lamp could be tightened up a but each part moves around when spun a bit but I believe a pair of pliers on the bottom nut would tighten this up but sits well just the way it is. buyer to pay 7.00 dollars shipping due to size and weight goodluck
