Antique Vintage Hanging Oil Lamp Connverted Top and Bottom Light Up Brass Glass
Nice old oil lamp that was converted to electric. The top and/or bottom light up. There is a small chip to the top rim of the glass shade and very minor spots of wear to the brass. There are 18 glass prisms. It measures 10 inches wide and 20 inches high. It is set up to be wired directly to the ceiling and it hangs down 12 inches from the ceiling however you could add two chains if you wanted it to hang lower. I just hung it from a bungee cord to take pictures.

Antique 1893 Rochester Mammoth Oil Kerosene Lamp Brass Hanging Light Iron Hanger
1893 Rochester Mammoth Oil Kerosene Brass Hanging Lamp w Iron Hanger Description: Lamp metal font section embossed brass. Hanger bracket appears to be a combination of cast and wrought iron. A similar lamp was advertised as a Number 10 in the 1893 catalog issued by the Rochester Lamp Company. New York. Good condition overall but there is a dent in the one side of the fuel tank. Dent is mostly hidden when inserted into the hanger. More details below. All glass pieces are in fine condition with no damage. Frosted chimney measures 12 inches tall overall with a 4 inch diameter mounting area. Upper and bottom rims are both cut but the upper is way thicker than the bottom edge. 7 inch tall milk glass shade measures 11-3/4 inches in diameter at the bottom rim and 4.5 inches in diameter at the top. Both ends of the shade are rough cut. Similar shades ... moreand lamps were also marketed by the Royal Lamp Company. New York. The hanger is included but it's slightly different than the one illustrated in the 1893 catalog. It has some rust and flaking paint. The brass font parts are in nice original condition. There is a dent which likely needs repair prior to holding fuel. IT seems complete other than there is no wick or smoke bell. Tank section measures 8.5 inches in diameter and 11 inches from the bottom up to the fitter ring. Fitter ring has a silver colored screw that works but is may not be original. Overall measurements of the harp section with lamp font inserted is 35.5 inches. That does not include the 44 inches of chain. Has not been restored. Polished, or converted to electricity. Antique Electrified Kerosene TRIPLE ANGLE LAMP NY Ceiling Hanging Railroad Oil
PLEASE READ ALL THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. This is a very old ceiling fixture and there is a lot to describe. This is a very old Kerosene Triple Angle Ceiling Lamp that was reportedly from an old Railroad Depot Station. I purchased it at an estate auction with the intention of using it in an old Victorian House that I was working on at the time. But life changed my direction as it sometimes does. So I no longer have the house and no need for the fixture. When I purchased this at an Estate Auction. I was told of its origin but have nothing in writing. It was electrified when I bought it. Measurements: If I measure from the center of the fixture to the outside edge of a globe.it is approximately 12"so the fixture is an approximate 24" circle. The height from the bottom of the lower finial to the upper hoop is approximately 19" ... moreAlso included is a modern ceiling ring with a plug installed(see image) and a hook so you can hang and plug in the lamp. If you want it lower you will have to add a chain and more than likely lengthen the cord depending on how low you want it. As an added note.I was going to reroute the cord through the center of the fixture and change the color of that cord to black so it would be less noticeable. As explained earlier the lamp was electrified before I bought it. I hung it temporarily from a cord and plugged it in and as you can see in the pictures it lights up. After closer examination of the sockets and wiring I would advise you go through the wiring carefully before installation as a couple of the sockets are loose and it never hurts to be safe. Electrifying these old gas fixtures can be challenging. But at least you have that part done and if needed lamp parts are plentiful at your local hardware store. Also, Light Bulbs are not included. I used clear bulbs for imaging but you may have a different idea. Imperfections. This is a very old fixture. It is not perfect. Up for auction is a beautiful antique 19th century Victorian art glass hanging oil lamp. Gorgeous pink color with a satin finish and an etched gold gilt starburst pattern. Brass hardware with a raised floral motif and a pierced geometric border. In very nice condition with age to the brass. Light wear to the gilding. No cracks or chips. This is an antique Victorian Hanging Parlour/ Parlor Lamp that hung in our formal dining room in New York State. The home was built in the late 1880s. And had all beautiful antique lighting. This was originally oil/ kerosene, but it was professionally changed over to electric, and could easily be put back to oil, as no damage was done to the lamp itself. I of course, do not have the burner portion. The glass oil reservoir is beautiful and embossed. On 4 places on the reservoir, are 4 embossed diamond designs amidst the vertical designs. May be a makers mark. I don't know who made this, but it's beautiful. This hangs from the ceiling, and originally one would pull it down towards the table when in use, and raise it up towards the ceiling when not in use. This has been modified but I was told that too, can be changed back to original. ... moreNow the wiring goes up through that mechanism, which somewhat hides it from view. This is a beautiful piece, and is in excellent condition, for its age. Some of the brass finials are bent, as you can see in the third photo close-up. They can be straightened, but I'll leave that to a professional. The prisms are iridescent, and beautiful. Antique Victorian Hanging oil lamp unmarked complete working height mechanism
Antique Victorian Hanging oil lamp. Unmarked except for the burner which is a Queen Ann made in USA by the Scovill MFG CO. Complete with shade, hanging mechanism, oil burner, and soot protector. The shade measures approximately 6” at top and 13 ¾ at bottom,shade height 7” and overall is approximately 20” The height mechanism is in good condition and moves freely The shade is in good condition aside for tiny flea bite chips along top and bottom edges The bottom part of the burner measures 3 ¼” tall and the widest part of the belly is 5 ½” around. All pieces are in good and working condition, but could use a good cleaning. This lamp will be packed in separate pieces and will need assembly. Vintage Antique Victorian Hanging Oil Kerosene Parlor Library Lamp w/ Prisms
This is a fantastic. Large, complete antique hanging library lamp with 14" floral hand painted milk glass shade, clear glass chimney, and the complete frame with smoke bell and all 63 prisms. It has been electrified and the cord runs up through the ceiling canopy where two wire nuts attach it to a longer cord(it looks like it was probably hard-wired into a home electrical system, and a lamp cord was added later. It works, but should be inspected by an electrician before use. The frame is excellent and unique because it has jointed decorative metal tubing instead of chains holding the lamp. With large metal rings on the bottom that hook onto the ornate floral cast iron frame. The metal font that once held oil or kerosene is cracked on one side(shown in the photos) but the cracks are not highly visible behind the prisms and can be turned ... moreto face the wall. The shade is excellent with no cracks or chips and has a smooth rounded edge on both top and bottom. It is hand numbered(93) on the inside, but I don't see a signature. The shade features hand painted floral patterns all the way around, and there are a few spots where the paint is rubbed off, shown close-up in the photos. The shade currently doesn't sit down in the frame all the way around, probably because the frame is slightly bent and could some adjusting, and I didn't want to force it down all the way around. The shade sits mostly on the frame as it is shown in the photos, but it seems like it should fit. The lamp measures 3 feet(36 inches) from ceiling canopy down to the bottom. It will be partially disassembled. The prisms will be removed and wrapped separately, and all items will be packed well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

Antique Victorian Era Hanging Oil Lamp Parlor Chandelier Painted Shade So. I went to the auction of a lifetime this past weekend. A storage barn of an antiques dealer that passed about 10 years ago. She specialized in early primitives and American folk art and boy-oh-boy you do not want to miss this week. I took photos of the items that I bought for one full day, and still am not finished– but decided to go ahead and list what I have– enjoy! This one is a beauty. It's an antique. Victorian era hanging chandelier lamp- a very fancy parlor chandelier with glass crystals and it's original hand painted milk white shade. It has Eagle in relief at the top of the lantern- was it oil or kerosene? It's not an electric lamp, but it would be very cool if you had it electrified! I don't know which one, but it looks like a kersene lampe ... moreto me. This is a striking chandelier. The metal is all brass, with brass bars going all the way up to the brass ceiling cap at the top. It measures 34 1/2" tall from that celing cap to the bottom of the chandelier, it is 14 1/8" diameter at the frame that holds the shade, 18" wide decorative scroll to decorative scroll on either side of the shde. The shade is 13 3/4" diameter at the bottom and 5 3/4" diameter at the top, and the piece does have a clear glass hurricane too. The shade is reverse painted and it is a floral motiff in earth tones- browns, golds, rusts, greens etc. The shade is dirty and needs to be cleaned- it's more of a light carmel in color than creamy white. It has some teeeeenie flea bite nibbles at the top that are very hard to see, and you could sand them flat for sure if you wanted to, that's how small they are. There's a handful of the same at the bottom where it fits into the frame- one is very shally but 1/4" on the outside of the rim, it's covered by the rim and that's the largest one there is. There's scratching to the shade that is light, but no cracks, it's in structurally nice condition. As is

Oil Lamps II, on page 250, this is referred to as a Smoke Saucer. This is the real McCoy. If you look at the 3rd, 4th& 5th photos, it shows the circle eye hook that attaches it to the hanging oil lamp. If you'll notice how irregular the hole eye is and also the blob of glass just under the eyelet. Very irregular, which is what you want to see in any hand-blown piece of glass, whatever it happens to be. Even the ruffles are very irregular on this old piece. This is an antique hanging oil lamp that was at one point(decades ago) wired. It measures 24" tall and the shade is 12" wide. It does have wear from years of use. The shade has all of its little pink/red acrylic crystal jewels intact. I do not know if the current wiring works but it is outdated and needs to be updated anyway. It does appear to be missing the inner frosted glass shade it once had. Unfortunately I know no history on this piece. Incredible old hanging oil lamp. With heavy adjustment weight ball at top. Someone has converted this lamp to electric. It does come with a glass chimney. Lovely floral glass shade in shades of white background and mauve pink flower with green leaves. Overall in very good condition, some tarnish here and there, slight irregularities on the brass and occasional small scratches, but no cracks or chips were found on the glass. The lovely crystals hanging around the perimeter give this lamp a real formal look. There are no maker marks that I could locate. Antique Victorian B&H Cranberry Hanging Oil Kero Library Parlor Ceiling Lamp
This is a fantastic antique hanging pull down library or parlor lamp complete with shade. Prisms, font, chimney(looks original) solid brass weight, smoke bell, chains, and flower shapes screws. The lamp has never been electrified. The cast iron piece that holds the font is marked B&H with the numbers 1 and 12. The only part that I know is a replacement is the brass ring that sits on top of the shade. It doesn't quite match the ring at the bottom of the shade and is a little larger than the lip on the top of the shade. But it still looks beautiful. I don't know if the other parts are original or replacement. But they really look fantastic together and the condition overall is very good. The shade has one tiny chip on the bottom rim, visible in the photo of the inside of the shade. There are no other cracks or chips. The frame is ... moremade of several types of metal including tin. Brass, and cast iron, making it a bit unusual. All of the metal pieces had a brass finish at one time, but it is worn off in many spots. Underneath the pulleys, I have the chains hooked together on each side so the lamp stays at the desired height and doesn't come down any lower. It might be necessary for the buyer to do that as well. ORIGINAL ANTIQUE CONTINENTAL SUSPENSION/HANGING OIL LAMP
for sale is a mid 20 th century continental oil lamp( probably from denmark) it is made up from a brass/gilt cradle and hanging chain. With a decorative ceramic oil holder and base underneath. very ornate and decorative. Would look great in a country style kitchen above a table. it does have a few faults. First of all the cradle in which the white shade sits is slightly warped so it does not sit flush( but still looks ok) also the white shade has a old crack/repair( see image) and the oil holder has a small crack to the ceramic( see image) but you could still use it as the liquid would go into the glass holder underneath and would not effect the use of this lamp. it hangs at around a 135 cm drop from top to the very bottom

Antique Hanging Library Parlor Oil Lamp w/47 Prisms Milk Glass Shade Glass Font
This listing is for an antique. Hanging oil lamp with 47 glass prisms. The only mark I can find is on the piece that the frame attaches to, it says Pat August 25, 94. The total length of the lamp, from the top of the hook to the bottom of the frame is about 38" The shade is just 6" high, just a little under 14" across the bottom, and 6" across the top opening. The font is 6" to the top of the burner and 3" across the bottom. The chimney is 14" tall, 2" across the top and 3" across the bottom. The brass needs polishing. The wick knob works and there is a wick. The top of the burner flips up. There is a small chip in the top rim of the shade. There is one prism missing. We will be removing the prisms for shipping. This is Outstanding Antique Victorian Hanging Ceiling lamp! Originally. It oil/kerosene lamp, but it has been electrified. The lamp is approximately 23 1/2" long from the bottom to the top of the white shade. The ceiling bracket is 6" The chain length is approx. 36" long but length can be regulated with the heavy brass ball. The balance weight ball is 9.23 lb. or 4.1 kg. Vtg Antique Victorian P&A Hanging Library Oil Lamp w/Pink Rose Shade, Prisms
This is a fantastic original Victorian hanging oil lamp with hand painted rose transfer design on the milk glass shade and 30 4" prisms around the shade ring. The lamp has never been electrified and the font is complete with fill cap and wick. I do not have a chimney for it. So a chimney is not included. The frame looks like brass but has not been cleaned or polished. So it is dull and dirty with some spots of green verdigris, and some rust on some of the non-brass metal parts. Nothing is broken, cracked, or repaired, but the ceiling canopy has a small finial screwed onto the bottom side where a smoke bell should have hung. The ring that sits on top of the shade does not match the larger shade ring, so I believe it did not originally go with the lamp. The shade and prisms are excellent with no noticeable damage. The lamp measures 30" ... morefrom top to bottom. The shade measures 14" in diameter, the frame measures about 14" across the middle. and the ceiling canopy is 5" in diameter.
