We have also been told that the lamp could be Italian or even Spanish. What is certain is that the lamp is one beautiful piece of functional art! It is comprised of bronze, painted white cast metal, brass and a woven basket of wire forming the inner portion. Attached to the wire frame are numerous mold-blown multi-colored glass flowers and all are accounted for. They each glow nicely once illuminated and you can add a dimmer switch for a softer mood lighting effect. The overall condition is very good and the lamp is ready for use. ANTIQUE FRENCH BRONZE PINK MARBLE IRIS FLOWER STAINED GLASS OIL LAMP CONVERTED
We are pleased to offer this GORGEOUS. Old, antique French converted oil lamp. The lamp is exceptional. Designed in the same manner as other French oil lamps of this period(late 1800s) this beauty is set apart by the fantastic color pattern. The lamp has a long center column of pink marble with lots of intricate and colorful veins. The marble ranges from a true pink with peach, deep plum and white veins. The glass oil reservoir is satin frost with raised, embossed leaves that rise from the bottom section of the bowl. There are three, large Iris flowers which circle the vessel. Each flower is a different color. There is a peach flower, a purple flower and a deep rose colored flower. The flower colors are not a reverse paint, but rather an opaque, stained effect color. This is a beautiful feature. The marble and glass are coupled with ornate ... morebronze hardware. The base features four, clawed, acanthus leaf feet that are formed into a fleur de lis as they move up the base. There is an intricate pattern of draped swags which join to form hearts or spades. Inside the hearts/spades are acanthus features. There are also Gothic/Celtic crosses which separate the patterns on the upper base section. Just above the base, at the lower column section, is a bronze torch"flame" The marble rests inside. A column cap finishes the marble column at the top. This is an exceptional, RARE lamp. It is in extremely nice condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks, etc. to either the glass or the marble. The gilt finish is still present and the bronze is gorgeous. This is an incredible lamp! The pictured shade is not included but the lamp does come with the harp(it is fixed) and a very nice, ornate finial. The lamp has been converted at some point to electric. The wiring is older vintage. But in good working condition. Most of the original hardware has been retained. The lamp could be converted back to oil if you so choose. Antique gilt bronze and cut crystal candelabra. Made in France. 19th century. Probably Baccarat Glass, but no visible signature. From an extremely prestigious estate: William Nelson Camp. Owner of Florida Power, vast real estate and phosphate mines and good friend of the richest of the rich and powerful. These stood on a table with a Baccarat glass and gilt bronze champagne bucket. Very likely the glass is Baccarat as well. It is well cut in a diamond shape that glitters and plays beautifully as the light catches it at different angles. Round base with tubular shaped bronze sides enclosing the glass. From this long stem 4 arms curl outwards. Each with scrolling openwork decoration and fine foliate mouldings curling out from the branches. Drip pans and bobeches all with moulded patterns. French Gilt Bronze Antique Hanging Candelabrum[Antique Chandelier] Late 19th to Early 20th Century Item# 130108SYG12 This is a stunning work in the French Empire style from the late 19th to early 20th Century. Probably c. 1890-1920. Crisply founded and cast with a brilliant gilded surface, the form is highly attractive in the finely balanced details. The six arms of the candelabra trumpet with acanthus foliage flowing above and below in large exaggerated swirls, each arm swelling into the overflowing apex beneath the well of each candle. The lamp is electrified with plastic faux candles in each arm, respectfully wired with as minimal intrusion to the form as possible. Three arms support the hanging of the candelabra, with linked chain rising from the flowing foliage above each of these three arms- one arm has a slight upward bend as a result ... moreof years supporting this weight and at some point it should be re-soldered for strength, though currently it does not cause any problem with the structure. The bottom of the lamp terminates in a large pineapple form, the top cresting in a magnificent flame finial. We very infrequently come across hanging candelabra of this form that we like- this piece is an absolute treasure. In rare condition and of very fine quality. This is a piece that will set your home apart. It should be examined by your local lamp dealer for rewiring, cleaning and strengthening of the arm, but is a strike-point piece that is well worth the investment for a lifetime of enjoyment. The lamp body is a large, fluted, white opaline glass vase with a narrow neck and wide lower section. It has been superbly hand painted in a delicate pattern of trailing vines, leaves and English roses. The leaves and vines are green and the roses are pink and peach in color. The glass is further enhanced with two different hand painted portraits/scenes. The first scene is of two 18th Century lovers in an intimate embrace. They are in a European court yard or garden setting. The second portrait scene is of an 18th Century woman who is peering from behind a tree.probably at the couple. All the characters are in noble dress and the scenes are exceptionally detailed. They are painted in a cameo style with each having ... morea border of raised, blue paint beads. The lamp is not visibly marked(I did not take it apart to look for marks) It does, however, have the look and character of Sevres. The lamp hardware is also exquisite. It is French Dore(gilded bronze) with exceptional and ornate design. The base features a raised square section where the glass body rests. It is adorned with a very stunning overlay of thick gilded bronze in a curved Acanthus leaf and Neoclassic pattern. This section creates the footed design of the base. There is a circular dore Acanthus leaf spacer at the top of the glass section as well. The lamp is completed with a beautiful silk shade. The shade is ecru to cream in color. This very nice quality lamp has exceptionally graceful proportions and is made of cast white metal and cast iron with older distressed bronze painted finish. It dates from the 1920s-30s and measures 65” tall x 10” across the trifid platform base mounted with cast metal flames and boasts a font form top with deeply molded. Cast classical foliate details topped by three candle sockets. There are no obvious losses in the details and the base has especially nice weight to offer adequate support to the lamp’s tall, slender lines. I see no maker’s name. It has an open area( on top of the font inside the three candles and there are numerous scratches in the paint as well as paint spatters. The patinated winged figure of Victory holds aloft her bouquet of flowers from which sprout four large cornucopia candle arms with acanthus leafage sprawling symmetrically from the stem into the anthemion decorated candle-wells. These situated ... moreevenly around the centermost spire. A flame raised on a tapered torchière. Each figure stand tipped-toed on a polished sphere. Her diaphanous robes furl intensely behind her with the force of an imaginary wind, pulling the silky garb tightly against the slender form of her body. Her wings flare towards the sky, her arms almost weightless as they comfortably lift the immense weight above her shoulder, these flanking the laurel wreath crowning her accomplished head. Every detail of her hair and face are captured perfectly in the deep-brown patinated bronze, her strong jaw and warm features portraying calm and confidence. Her upraised arms are soft and shapely as they raise an overflowing basket high over her head. The basket covered in floral and foliate ornamentation, the midmost post raises a flamed finial to complete the form. FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS fatiguedfrenchfinds This is a stunning and rare antique French solid bronze lamp bouillotte. It has the most incredible cut bronze lampshade backed by silk fabric. The pattern is of winged dragons and classical urns. The fabric at the rear has shattered and in my opinion will need replacing. It has previously been hand sewn to the internal shade support. The base is octagonal. The central column is in 3 sections with different fluted designs. Rising to the support for the 4 arms of the lamp. The lamp will require wiring. At present. It has part of the old wiring in place, which is neither safe nor appropriate. It has 3 porcelain screw in sections where the bulb sits. One of these is missing but that they will need replacing with a more modern solution. Additionally in the past, someone has applied a compound to the base ... moreof the lamp, which is not seen in anyway and I have shown it in one of the photographs. So a little work is required on this lamp. After which you will have a truly incredible, rare and unusual example of its type, with a high value. The weight is an incredible 4.530kgs. Antique French Bronze Brass Bouillotte Lamp Brass Tole Shade
A antique french bouillotte style lamp in good condition. It does have some bends and dings here and there. Also scuffs and scratches from age and use. I believe this is made of bronze with a tole shade. It is working but as you can see in the pictures the electrical cord has been spliced together to make it longer. But that is a easy fix. The wood faux candles you see in the holders don't quite fit as snug as they should but they still look good. The tole shade does adjust up and down in height.
