The etched EAPG font is in excellent original condition and the Don Juan cameo base has been restored. Pedestal has new white paint and I see one cameo is pronounced and clear while the other is faint and hard to see Don's hat feather. Also I see the narrow section of the pedestal was damage and put back together. I do not know what technic the person used to do this repair and he has passed on now. These are one of the finest and most ornate pair I have sold in a very long time with gorgeous large ornate Rococo style Candlesticks marked Wm A. Rogers. S.P. Lead. They are Silver Plated Lead which makes they very sturdy and they won't topple over easily which is important because the Ruby Glass Shades are very beautiful. The Shades are a Cranberry Flash with nice Fern type designs etched to Clear, much prettier than my photos show. The Hurricane Lamps are a great size for display and use measuring 10-3/4" tall over or 4" across the base of the Candlesticks and 3-3/4" across the top opening of the shades. The Silver Plated Candlesticjks are in amazing condition, bright, shiny and beautiful. The Glass Shades are also in very find condition with some minor roughness around the bases that are covered by the Candlesticks and one has a tiny crack that is only noticeable upon close inspection. The shade has to small chips to the fitter end that goes into shade holder so it is not visible when on the Lamp.The oil Reservoir is frosted Pressed Glass and the bottom part of the stem with painted Butterfly I Believe is a soft Blue milkglass. The base is footed and chased, etched. The burner is marked and has Patent date on the turn wheel for wick but my eyes are not good enough to make it out. The bases are Crystal Swirl with Cranberry stems. One of the shades has a tiny chip on the top rim and both of them have some tiny scratches(see the pictures. it's all there) There are approximately 6 prisms missing. I might find one or two here before I ship it but figure 6 are missing and will have to be replaced. The national hardware store that starts with a L carries them. The cords are original and should also be replaced for your own safety. We have plugged them in and they do work but I advise replacing the cords as soon as you own them. Pr Antique victorian etched Glass Cranbery hurricane Lamps, Prisms true flashed
Beautiful tall etched glass hurricanes with dangling prism crystals in an unusual bright burgundy/pink shade. Probably from middle or late 18th century. Perfect condition. It has electrical wiring but someone has cut the wires at the base(shown in the photos) all electrical is excellent, features toggle switches. It is about 20 inch tall with the hurricanes about 8 inches tall. These are not stained they are flashed. All the wiring is intact and the socket looks in good shape and very solid. I think the cut the wiring in the bottom to avoid carrying around the wires. There is couple of inches of wire in the base that one can attach the plug. I believe one can wire the whole thing. It is very stright forward, the wire goes through a open channal and connects to the socket, not complicated at all. I think the main body is cast. not magnetic) is without damage, and on the inside of the base raised is 1831. The glass font is good with no damage. The burner has Hinks and sons on the side and there is 1 chimney finger missing. Both wicks will rise and fall, and one of the ceramic inserts has the writing worn. Pair of vintage / antique glass dressing table lamps with etched hurricanes OLD
Gorgeous pair of glass(crystal? i have no idea) lamps w/ etched hurricane shades. Stands approx 13" tall w/ dangling crystals( These are very old. They still have the original wiring. See photo for picture of power switches. There is no actual damage to them but here's what I can see. The metal portions(2 rings on the stems) and the metal part where the hurricane glass sit and the undercarriage show slight surface rust, I trust these can be replace or reworked. The cardboard sleeve below the bulb shows its age, but can be replaced as well. The crystals hang by wire that is fashioned into a swirl, a couple of those need to be twisted back like the others. The bottom rim of the hurricane glass has a couple of flea bites but does not show as it sits in the holder. These lamps are beautiful just as they are! This is a set of two used Antique Vintage Glass Table Lamps. As shown in the photos below. Both are in working condition. However the cloth cords are beginning to wear and may need replacement. One lamp has a loose socket that needs to be threaded onto the shaft and there is one drop prism that has broken. Otherwise, it looks like all the parts are there. The lamps look to be made of glass. The prisms may be crystal, I am not 100% sure. The shades are etched and in very nice condition with a minor chip on the rim. They were an estate sale find and may need additional cleaning. Pair Vintage Antique ? Crystal Cut Glass Table Lamp With Prisms Etched Hurricane
I looked over the glass base and did not see any major issues with the glass base. Actually did not see any issues and I looked pretty closely. The one etched hurricane has a crack in the base that can be seen in the picture. Both lamps need to be rewired. Two crystals are missing. I was able to easily take apart one lamp by hand while the other has rust. I want to cut the cords off and part the lamps for safe shipping. Please advise me of any special requirements you might have before buying. Doing an excellent grade A+ job packing is not a special requirement and is included in the price of this item. UPDATE: Only one crystal short as I found another in a different box. 2/20/14 UPDATE: The lamp with the hurricane stands 12" tall. Measuring just the glass ... moreheight on the base. 6 1/4" tall. The bottom square part of the base is 4 1/8" and the top round glass part of the base measures 4 3/4" diameter. 2/21/2014 UPDATE: Based on all the interest and questions I am having in the lamps I decided to cut the electric cords off and really examine both lamps. Two things I have noticed that are note worthy. One semi-pear glass midsection has 4 hairline cracks. The glass is very thick and these cracks do not carry into the inside of the glass. I never noticed these cracks until I really examined the individual pieces looking for issues. The rest of the glass pieces on both lamps look good. One piece of wire that hangs through the glass base is missing. This thin piece of wire allows the crystal to hang from the lamp. The cords are off and ready to have new wiring. The existing lamp fixtures on the lamps look to be in good condition and will work just fine. New wire and inline switch will be needed. 2/21/14 UPDATE: New wire and plugs added. Kept the switches as new ones would not match the quality of the existing ones. Little over 7 foot long cords. All the effort of wiring and costs means I am not likely to accept a best offer

ANTIQUE RAYO Nickel 1890's OIL LAMP ELECTRIFIED ETCHED GLASS GLOBE
This was an authentic antique 1890's pedestaled RAYO lamp which originally burned oil. Many of these old lanterns have had their nickel plating polished off revealing solid brass underneath; however this one still has the nickel plating on it therefore it has the silver color. This lamp was converted from oil by replacing the wick/burner with a socket and wiring it for electricity. The electric burner holds the glass chimney. The glass shade has flowers and leaves etched on it and has a ruffled rim. I took several pictures of the shade using differing backgrounds and angles in order to capture the etched design which was difficult for the camera to pick up. Be sure to look at all the pictures. Antique Astral oil lamp that was converted to electric. The decorative base is brass with parts of the gilding still there. It stands on a marble base 5 3/4" square. The frosted glass globe has engraved arches and flowers. It stands 24" tall. There are no chips or cracks to the shade. And the brass has no cracks. Please disregard my answer to the question asking if there were any prisms. Thanks to an Ebayer for noting that there originally were 12 prisms. The ring has twelve tiny holes to hold prisims.
