It was stripped and finished ... morewith 4 coats of Minwax Antique Wipe-On Varnish. Then handrubbed with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax. Original brass decorative hardware on front. Door handle has a lock. But I've never owned the key and don't know if it functions. The inset handle on the top lid is solid brass. The steel hinges on the lid are original, but obviously not as decorative and the ones on the front. Wheels were missing when purchased and have been replaced. Ice chamber is missing corrugated galvanized panel on which the ice rested. Provision" chamber is missing the wire shelves. Part of the original instruction label is still attached to the lid. It mentions"Sapolio" a very well known cleaning product in widespread use from 1869 to 1939. I found a Sapolio ad from 1924 specifically targeting Ice Box owners. The ornate nature of the hardware leads me to believe the Ice Box is from around 1910. Overall the piece is in very good condition. The measurements are 24" wide x 16" deep and 40 1/2" tall. The ice chamber measures 19" wide x 12" deep x 12" tall. The provision area measures 20" wide x 12" deep and 15 1/2" tall. No reserve. Available for pick-up in Frederick. Antique Bronze Champleve 3 Light Table Lamp c. 1900's. Japanese Beautiful. Large, antique Japanese bronze/champleve with three lights. Entire lamp from base to top of hardware pole is 28" to the top of the base is 15" and the base is 9" in diameter. Light sockets are not original and the cord is not new but is in good condition. This lamp has some flaking of the enamels and is missing enamel in four circles that are in the second band of decoration from the top. The gilding is worn off that once covered all the metal areas but I believe that is the case with most of these pieces. Champlevé is an enamelling technique in the decorative arts. Or an object made by that process, in which troughs or cells are carved or cast into the surface of a metal object. And filled with vitreous enamel. The piece is then fired until ... morethe enamel melts. And when cooled the surface of the object is polished. 12" TALL ANTIQUE CHIMNEY LAMP.very good condition This early 1900's vintage gold painted brass electric table lamp has been cleaned and is still in very good condition. Second photo shows light on with 15 watt bulb. Included. No dents or cracks or chips anywhere on the lamp base or the glass. The base is all original with a 10 ft cord, plug should be replaced. Base is painted gold and shows a crackle aged finish. The chimney appears more modern, but any 3" diameter glass shade should fit. Lamp measures about 11 3/4" tall to the top of the chimney and 4 3/4" tall to the top of the base. It measures about 4 5/8" across at the base. Decorative and useable. Good luck bidding!

Antique Early 1900's Pottery Pitcher Table Lamp with Iris Decoration
Early 1900's pottery pitcher table lamp with an iris decoration. It measures 12" to the bottom of the socket and has an 8" harp which is not removeable. The pottery piece alone is just over 7" There is fine crazing and discoloration throughout the glaze. It does work. But the cord has several well worn areas. There are no exposed wires. But it does show it's age. The brass top to the pitcher has a few dings and some uneveness to the spout area. The base shows some discoloration. The on/off switch is located on the base and still works. It's exactly as found at an older estate- no repairs or refurbishing has been done. There are 12 photos.

1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Oil Lamp This 1880's-1900's Victorian Antique Parlor Oil Lamp has been in my personal Antique Collection for over 40 years. This Victorian Oil Lamp is a beautiful work of art with spectacular ornate design and incredible hand craftsmanship. The Satin glass shade globe has a beautiful raised embossed grape design. The lamp oil reservoir with Burner assembly can be removed by lifting it out of the base of the lamp. There is a Full/Out indicator that works on a float valve system. The lamp is missing the glass chimney that is suppose to stick out about 2 inches above the shade. The chimney replacement is very cheap and can be bought at numerous locations. I have seen them in several places over the years for less than $10. This antique Victorian Parlor lamp stands 11 inches tall(without the shade ... moreon) and about 7 inches wide. It is about 21 inches tall with the shade on. The globe is about 11 inches tall and 10 inches wide. This parlor lamp is a wonderful addition to your Victorian decor. Antique early 1900's vintage milk glass light shade globe 6 inch
One 6 inch(15cm) diameter original milk glass light shade. Globe. No chips or cracks in globe, some expected minor chipping on the rim, invisible when mounted. I rescued three large 8 inch and this smaller one. 6 inch(15cm) from a house being(un)renovated, my family home, built in 1908. The real deal. I have 3 more larger ones, listed concurrently with this particular one. If you are renovating an older house to an original turn of the century style, this would be perfect. Beautiful antique victorian table lamp early 1900's* This is a beautiful antique victorian table lamp which is 16 inches tall and 6 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy cut glass beaded pull on the chain. The column is satiny twisted brass. The pierced brass shade ring has a very pretty floral design and is decorated with 26 strands of crystal lustres. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Antique Brass Wall Hanging Double Candle Sconce with Mirror Circa 1900
An antique brass wall hanging candle sconce with a central circular mirror. As you can see from the photos the brass is decorated with scrolls. Leaves and berries. There are 2 sconces for holding the candles. The mirror is held in place from the back by a cast iron bracket. There is a hook on the back so that it can be hung from the wall. I would imagine this sconce dates to circa 1900. Condition. Very good. Just the odd minor bend to the edge but nothing that can really be seen from the front. There are some light scratches to the mirror. I have had this wall sconce professionally polished and lacquered so it will stay shiny for years. The sconces detach for easy transportation. This French lamp is absolutely beautiful. It features a lovely hand painted romantic outdoor scene on porcelain. Of a young man and woman which is signed by the artist Bouche. The scene goes all the way around the entire body of the lamp. It is expertly painted with all the paint in tact, and no fading. The artist portrays lovers under a tree looking out at blue water with a tower and stone wall on the other side. The porcelain portion of the lamp sits on a beautiful brass base with no rust or stains. There is a deep cobalt porcelain pedestal and top which is decorated with a gold hand painted design. It is a true visual delight. There is a double light bulb socket which enables you to use 2 separate bulbs, each with its own pull chain. The original finial is also included. Antique Original Cast Iron Painted Oscar Bach Style Table Lamp c. 1900-1940
This is an exceptional table lamp in the style of Oscar Bach(1884-1957) He was a master of metalwork who came to Germany in 1911 to New York. He was one of the most noted figures in the field of decorative arts in the first half of the 20th century. Oscar Bach was commissioned by many wealthy individuals. And also did custom work for the Empire State Building, Yale University and the Procurement Division of the U.S. Treasury Division, among others. This lamp has no known makers marks on it. It is made primarily of cast iron and has a possible faux mica type finish on the enclosed shade. It appears to be all original( the underside of the lamp shade may have been painted or it may be the original paint) There appears to be no repairs, damage or missing parts. Antique Japanese Porcelain Boudoir Candlestick lamps Circa 1900's Pair
Up for auction is a very nice pair of Porcelain Candlestick Boudior lamps with floral chintz motif. They where made around the turn of the century and are stamped with an early dark red mark on the bottom. The lamps are in excellent working condition. But we do recommend you rewire. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a double cut crystal pull on the chain. The fancy pierced brass floral shade ring is decorated with 31 strands of crystal lustres. Antique "Lectrolier Limited" Bronze over Copper Lamp, late 1800- early 1900 LOOK
This lamp is ancient. I had looked it up several years ago and remember it being one of the first electric lamps made. But unable to find anything about it now. It is unoperatable and needs complete refurbishing. There are some stress/ age cracks as seen in pictures. This lamp probably had a globe glass shade at one time. It is bronze over copper if I remember correctly from previously looking it up. The images I feel are of the great tragedy of the theater. Great theme. Anyway. Rare White Antique Hanging Parlor Lamp with Crystal Prisms 1900-1940
This lamp has a floral print in pink and peach colors with accents of blue and green on both original milk glass globes. Rare rectangular shaped Colonial Prisms. Each 4" long, dangle from the large milk glass shade. A full 29" long(from top of fixture to tip of base) and 14" wide(at its widest point) makes this light fixture a sizable showpiece. A brass linked chain offers a way to customize the hanging length. Although the appearance is of an oil light, this light fixture is entirely electric. It has the original cloth covered wiring and it works(although with lighting of this age, rewiring would be recommended) The globes look amazing when lit. The original brass medallion is included to cover the mounting hole in the ceiling(both a small decorative medallion and a flat brass medallion extension) The milk globes, brass decorations, ... moreand glass hurricane shade are in excellent vintage condition. Most of the thirty-one prisms are in good vintage condition with some chips on the corners or edges. One prism is broken. It appears that there are only four prisms missing. It's very close to being perfect. But under close inspection you can see an extremely shallow pinhead size nick on the flat top and a faint and shallow 1/4" refraction coming off the top at the point where the seam of the handle meets the body. It's just under the surface and has no more than 1/16" depth. It really is hard to see and I almost missed it. The lines that you can see in the photos are all lines of color that you typically get with these. This one happens to have a lot of them and only makes it a bit more interesting. Antique Hexagonal Slag-glass Spelter Lamp ca. 1900 - FREE SHIPPING!
For your consideration here in the great Galactic Marketplace is a fine vintage/antique slag glass and spelter lamp of unknown origin. Most likely the US, made around 1900. It's about 23" tall and 16" at the widest point. It has a three lobed base. And baby dragons(just hatched, looks like)ok, ok, DOLPHINS) help support the main shaft. It has two bulb receptacles for changing light levels/colors on the fly; as you can see in the pic, it will happily light up a red bulb. It appears to have the original wiring. Antique Signed Bradley & Hubbard Lamp Base For Slag Glass Art Nouveau Early 1900
Looks like the base plate and sockets are copper and the stem is brass or bronze. The only places my magnet sticks are on the cast iron weight in the bottom and the bolt at the top. One socket looks to be original(Bryant. Patented 1907) and the other looks like it must have been replaced decades ago(Eagle) both are solid copper. The Bryant pull chain doesn't move and will need the socket dismantled& repaired. The Eagle works just fine. At some point someone replaced the cord and plug, but the internal wiring is still the original cloth covered. Very good structural condition. Should clean up nicely. 18" tall x 7" diameter at base. We are pleased to offer this unique lamp. The lamp has been"created" at some point(not by us. And not recently) by utilizing an turn of the century store display, tin box. The large box is colorful and has a different design on each side. The box once housed Crustard(custard/pudding) powder mix. The custard company, AJP's was located in Groningen, Netherlands. This tin dates to the very early 1900(around 1906) The tin has a pull up lid and a roomy interior. It has a wooden surround at the base and 4 wooden, bun feet. The lamp has a swing arm so the position can be changed. The down rod is very near the rear of the tin so it does not affect the interior storage area too much. The piece is very colorful and extremely nostalgic. It is quite interesting. It is in good condition with the front of the tin showing the most age in the ... moremanner of wear to the paint. There are no holes in the tin and only a couple of minor dings. In general, it is in very good antique condition. The wiring is vintage but it is in good, working condition. There is no shade or harp included, but the lamp is fitted for both. We chose a large, decorative bulb(not included) without a distracting shade. The lamp measures 18.5" tall to the socket. The tin.
