I am unsure of the exact age of the desk. It is most likely a 1970's reproduction of an 18th Century Georgian Design. It has beautifully carved ball and claw feet, and chunky cabiole legs that are also carved at the knees. This desk has five (5) substantial drawers with the original brass bail pull handles, and five (5) faux drawer fronts on the back side also with brass bail pull handles. The drawers have dove tail joints. The desk was in front of a window for years, and therefore the finish on the back side is a bit faded.

Additional storage is found below the desk area consisting of an area with a ornate door measuring 20" x 14 1\2" deep. The drawer below this storage area measures 2" x 14 1\2" deep x 5" High. To the left of the desk is a tall shelf area with four adjustable shelves for storage or acting as a bookcase again having fine ornate wood carving over the glass door front. The ornate carvings on the front of the fold-down desk and upper glass door appear Victorian. Work is needed for refinishing this piece to bring it back to its original beauty. Nice lamps. Work great, sculpted w/ octagonal bases. Shade shown is for reference only. It is torn, and will not be included. Upper hoop also not included(was taken from another lamp for the photo) Measure 23.5" tall overall and are about 6" wide at the base. These things are heavy at about 8lbs each. These are old ones, notice the non-polarized plugs. Only damage(aside from 70's repaint) is one broken tab, as shown. Speaking of paint, I scraped a small area, so you could see the bare metal. Antique Brass 3 Arm Desk/Table L Antique 3 arm Brass Student Desk Lamp/ Custard glass shades An Estate Sale Find desk/table lamp(more photos below) Solid brass lamp except for the shade fitters and the cast iron weighted base. With vintage custard glass light shades. The lamp measures approx. 18" tall. X 16" wide, the felt cover base bottom is 4-1/2" in diameter The glass shades measures approx. 5-1/2" tall x 6-3/4" in diameter. The two custards shades don't match totally. One is darker when turned on and is made of thicker glass, also it has a chip on the ruffled edges(see photos below) The brass lamp is in Very Good condition. With original brass patina, has a rotary Leviton on/off switch and good power cord. Some oxidation on the brass plated steel fitters and surface rust on the cast iron base.

This is a really wonderful signed Bradley and Hubbard(Meridan. CT) brass desk lamp in the Arts and Crafts, or Mission, style. Antique Wood Brass Cast Iron Carriage Lamp foyer table desk lamp
This is a beautiful antique table lamp with a heavy cast iron base with a carved wooden post and a Carriage like bevel glass(encased) shade. This shade is a metal tin painted a matte black color. There is a couple of scuffs and nicks on paint but not bad and easy to fix. The lamp is sturdy, stands up straight, and measures about 16 1/2" tall and 6" wide at base. This lamp weighs more than 4 lbs. There are scuffs and scratches on the wood post of this lamp- only from previous use and wear from age. There are straight hairline cracks in the wood post but it looks like this is how the wood is placed together, like a wainscoting design. Not sure of type of wood- could be walnut? The carriage like looking shade has beveled clear glass panes framed in metal with brass top. None of the clear glass panes are chipped or cracked. Not sure ... moreof maker- There are numbers marked on the bottom of bare cast iron base but no maker name. This lamp seems to have an original outlet cord and plug- prongs on plug are marked Academy Automatic Made in USA~ Albeit. This lamp is probably about 50 years old or older. Here is a wonderful. Antique table lamp. It has a metal plate on the back that says: AMRONLITE, PAT'D 1917, MADE IN U.S.A. It is made out of BRASS. The base and stem are decorative. It is adjustable.you can tilt it or aim it anyway. It has the pull-chain to turn it on/off. The shade holder is still intact.I do NOT have the shade for it(you can easily replace it.just look here in eBay! From the base to the top of the little ball on top of the stem it stands 16 3/4" high. The base has a diameter of 7 1/2" It has the original patina to it. Antique Carriage Lamp foyer table desk lamp Wood Brass Cast Iron metal ~ This is a beautiful antique table lamp with a heavy cast iron base with a carved wooden post and a Carriage like bevel glass(encased) shade. This shade is a metal tin painted a matte black color. There is a couple of scuffs and nicks on paint but not bad and easy to fix. The lamp is sturdy, stands up straight, and measures about 16 1/2" tall and 6" wide at base. This lamp weighs more than 4 lbs. There are scuffs and scratches on the wood post of this lamp- only from previous use and wear from age. There are straight hairline cracks in the wood post but it looks like this is how the wood is placed together, like a wainscoting design. Not sure of type of wood- could be walnut? The carriage like looking shade has beveled clear glass panes framed in metal with ... morebrass top. None of the clear glass panes are chipped or cracked. Not sure of maker- There are numbers marked on the bottom of bare cast iron base but no maker name. This lamp seems to have an original outlet cord and plug- prongs on plug are marked Academy Automatic Made in USA~ Albeit. This lamp is probably about 50 years old or older. It would look great in a foyer hall or side table in an office. The bulb shown has an amber tint- this bulb will be included. I may have to disassemble this lamp a little for shipping and will wrap securely with bubble wrap and include insurance. This is a stunning antique ornate Victorian electric desk lamp. it is done with very nice ornate detailing throughout and has a great aged look. it has acquired a wonderful patina over the years and is in good working condition. it holds a single generic sized bulb and has an on/off pull chain on the socket. the shade is a nice pale green color and has a great shape to it. the shaft is ribbed and has a large ornate base which is done in high relief. it measures 15 3/4 inches tall by 8 3/4 inches wide. ANTIQUE DIRECTOIRE BRASS DESK/TABLE LAMP 1930'S/40'S
This 3 arm directoire brass lamp with its original metal shade has a filigree on the top matching the filigree on the brass arm holders. The condition is excellent for its age(1930's- 40's) and is in good working order with all the lights functioning as does the turn on switch. I believe the lamp was made in the United States since the electrical plug is not European and is of the old style from the 30's. 40's, etc. There is some paint missing off the shade. The cardboard tubular sleeves are original but have been covered with a design paper but I am not sure when. I think their original color was an off white. The sleeves are replaceable. Antique Hubbell Brass Desk/Table Lamp
You are bidding on an antique brass adjustable Hubbell desk- table lamp in working condition. The spherical joint with wing nut has a patent date of December 2nd 1912. The shade is marked Hubbell as seen in pics. The cord is white cloth and appears to be original. The cord is all intact but you may consider replacing due to age. Overall height of lamp is about 11" with shade positioned at a 90 degree angle. Pull chain socket does function as it should. There is a heavy cast iron weight mounted in the base so I am assuming the shipping to be about $20 as it will be packaged carefully for shipment and also depending on final destination. Antique Emeralite brass partner desk lamp 8734 series made between 1916-1930
Perfect Condition with separate pulls for each side. The numbers on base indicate that this is a 8734 Series partner lamp made between 1916-1930. The Emeralite shades from this generation did not have holes on each side. Instead a new base armature was designed and the shade was created with indentations which fitted into the channels on the new base arm. The shade was clamped in to this armature for stability and so could be removed for cleaning if necessary. The base is made from solid brass.
