Antique Bent Slag Glass Lamp Miller Bradley & Hubbard Pittsburgh, Handel, Empire
This is a beautiful nice sized bent slag glass lamp. The shade is a combination variegated deep carmel bent slag glass with a beautiful look to it. The filigree work is just wonderful and sets off the colors in the shade. The lamp is a combination of brass. Copper, bronze and pot metal with a great golden patinated finish near 100% The lamp stands 20 inches tall. The shade is 16 inches wide and about 6 1/2 inches tall. There are 2 vintage sockets working off of one pull chain. One pull turns on one light, second turns on the second light, third pull goes back to one light and fourth pull turns it all off, it all works well. The lamp has been rewired with correct wiring and works and looks just great. This beautiful lamp is unmarked except for a#1 on the base. This beautiful lamp was found at an upstate NY Estate. The glass is white with caramel color streaks. Gorgeous ornate detail to both the base and shade. The metal on the shade and base is non-magnetic and gilded with gold leaf. I do not find a Makers Mark on the lamp so I won't venture a guess as to the maker. This is a large lamp with wonderful craftsmanship. As noted in detail below. One glass panel has a crack CONDITION The shade frame is beautiful with just a few spots where the gold finish has worn- non-obvious places like inside edges. The base has only a couple spots of wear on the finish. Two of the spots at the top- pretty much out of sight- and one tiny one ... moreon the side(see pictures) The cord has been replaced(with another antique cloth cord) but the inner wiring looks to be original The sockets are marked"Arrow" and appear to be original to lamp One glass panel has a large crack. Offered for your consideration is this antique 6 panel slag glass lamp shade only. As seen in the photos. It has fractures in three of the panels. After taking the photos, I taped the front and back of each of the fractures to secure for shipping. You will have to peal the tape off. The repair job was not done well on the fractures, so a couple sections aren't secure enough not to tape. The diameter of the lamp is approximately 17 3/4" It was from an estate of a 68 year old. Many of the items were his grandparents. I only ship within the USA and DO NOT SELL WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. Good luck bidding! This will be boxed with plenty of padding around. Beautiful antique victorian 28" table lamp early 1900s* This stunning victorian table lamp was my great grandmothers. The shade is metal filigree with 6 carmel color bent varigated slag glass panels. I do know that three were replacements many years ago- please see photos of inside of shade. The shade measures 16" wide and 10" high. The coloration is deeper than the pictures show it to be. Antique Slag Bent Glass W/ Filagree Art Deco Lamp 8 Panels
This item is a gorgeous aqua. White and rose slag glass lamp with very elaborate filigree on the shade. The filigree is perfect and the glass all appears to be original. The finial and holder are correct and in excellent condition. The only defects on the shade are on the interior. There are two missing clips and one small chip on an edge of a glass panel that was probably made with the original cut on the glass, it doesn't show from the outside. The panels are slightly loose and there is some dust under the filigree that I could not get too. A good professional cleaning would be in order. The shade is 17 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep, the finial is about 3 inches high. The lamp base is an antique lamp but probably not original to the shade. It has been rewired and the sockets have been replaced. It is made from tubular metal ... moreand these lamps always had cast brass or bronze bases. It is 21 inches high and has a heavy weight in the base which makes it safe to use with the shade. It works well and looks nice with the shade but is not original. I will sell the shade with or without the base. I will refund $50.00 of the final bid and adjust the shipping costs if you elect to not buy the base. The appropriate bases are usually available on ebay. The finial will be included with the shade. There is a gold finish with some areas highlighted in blue. Green and red. Shade is 16" wide and 7" tall and weighs over 10 lbs. The heavy cast metal base is signed H.
