MID CENTURY REGENCY ROOM DIVIDER SHELF 2 ADJUSTABLE ARM LAMP BLOWN GLASS SHADES
We are pleased to offer this gorgeous. Mid Century Modern room divider, shelf and lamp unit! This fabulous unit features gilded metal construction(brass? aluminum? with a glittered finish. The unit is tall and rectangular with a vertical row of geometric circles in the center that extends from the top of the frame to the bottom for contrast. The top of the frame has a slightly"pagoda" profile appearance as it is upturned on each end. There is a side shelf tray on each side with art glass insets. The glass is beautiful. It is root beer in color with striations of gold, and some blue/gray. The glass is slightly seeded. The divider features two hanging lamps with original brass diffusers and blown glass shades. The lamp arms are different heights for added interest. The shades are delicate and fine(not thick or heavy) They are smooth ... moreon their exterior with a swirled interior. The shades are clear glass with a very soft gold to the swirled pattern. The glass does have a very large pontil mark on one shade and a smaller pontil mark on the other. The lamps have adjustment screws on each arm so the shades will lock in place at different angles. The shades are held in place with the large brass diffusers. The lamp has an on/off switch on the bottom of the room divider frame. The lamp operates with regular 60 watt bulbs(one per each arm) The bottom of the frame is raised with legs on each side. There are no manufacturer's marks or stickers but the lamp is quite nicely constructed and was a"higher end" lamp in its day(c1960s) It is in very good condition with only minor signs of age. There is some slight wear to the finish but only in a couple of areas and nothing distracting. The wiring is original but the lamp is working perfectly. The glass shelves are very good. The glass shades are also good with only minor and expected wear at the fitter areas. Overall condition is very. Very nice. The unit is large and measures 76" tall. This lamp has brass metal accents and beautiful tear drop crystal prisms throughout. Lovely flower and beaded crystal accents provide further luxury. Beautiful crystal steam and crystal catches under the candles. One of the catches measures about 1/8" smaller. It might have been a replacement or it might have come with it.
