Authentic Victorian Era Antique Miniature Oil Lamp 6 1/2" Tall Great Condition
I will be listing more items of milk glass from the same estate collection. If you find more than one item you like. I'll happily combine shipping. This is a very pretty little oil lamp. It has the top. That screws down into the base. It has brass metal hardware, a milk glass base, and a clear glass chimney which looks and fits like it may be original to the lamp. The milk glass is very good condition with no damage. The only issue the oil lamp has is paint loss where the raised areas once were painted. There is no maker mark or mold mark on the glass and no marks on the brass. It stands approx. 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the chimney. This is a most unusual. Antique Table Lamp! Utilizing a silvered coffee pot, it was created into an amazing piece of art. From its base to it socket it is 17 1/2" tall, and from its spout to its handle it is 11" wide. The coffee pot itself is silver and/or silver-plate, hard to say. It is polished and shiny, whereas in some areas, top and bottom border, spout and handle, the silver has worn off a little, giving the onlooker the age-old look. The gold-tone base is an 8-points star with a scallop in between each two points, and its bottom is covered in green felt. The finial is silvered and 4 3/4" long. The wick should be replaced by the new owner! The top round piece screws into the piece below it. There is a nice cap with a top not that flips open. This is used to extinguish the flame. HEAVY! MARBLE ANTIQUE BANQUET LAMP. Base is 8-12" inches in diameter and the lamp is 17 1/2 inches tall. The wiring is lousy and the socket is is loose but it works. I have had this lamp at least 50 years. There are no chips or cracks and it is very heavy and solid. Could be Italian marble. The white globe in the picture is a cheap replacement and is not included.
