Vintage Retro 1950s Electrex Electric Fan Steel Blades Industrial Grey Works We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! Here is a nice. Vintage 1950s electric desk fan with the industrial retro style that you love. It measures 9" across the round fan cage, and appears to be made all from steel- maybe the base is iron, as it weighs a heavy 4 lbs. The blades are shiny ... moreand in really nice condition with little dots that can be seen all over- I don't know if they are dirt, or pits to the finish or very light surface rust or? But they are small, and hard to notice unless really close- see my photos. You plug the fan in and in starts right up- there is no on/off switch that I can find. As far as I can tell, too, the fan is not made to oscillate, but there is a butterfly screw at the base of the fan that allows you to adjust the fan up or down. I don't know if this is the model number, but there is an"X-764" on the lable on the back. There's something on the base too, but I cannot read it. I think it is a hoot on the label it reads, For repairs send to Electrex Service Station St. Louis MO. The cord and plug appear to be in nice condition. I cannot find any cracks or wear. There is one 1/4" piece of off white tape in one spot on the cord- as far as I can tell, it's not there to cover a crack or problem- it's old and looks like it could be a part of an original tag. The fan makes a light rattling noise when on. I can't tell what's causing it as the blades do not appear to be touching anything when in use, a

This solid oak 1890 era watchmaker's workbench has a"parts catcher" pull out with a canvas bottom to keep tiny springs and gears from getting lost. The finish is in excellent condition on this nostalgic American made furniture. Eight drawers have original pulls. Holes in the top were for a leather belt that drove a lathe and polishing wheels. A gallery around the top contained parts from rolling away. The wainscoting at the base is grain painted. This antique is finished on all sides. Meant to be used with a stool. This Victorian antique could be repurposed as a bar, server or vessel sink vanity. Hand decorated tiles on the backsplash and the marble top are beautiful. The old finish is very well preserved and has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its antique patina. Side towel bar and hardware are original on this picturesque furniture. The drawer has hand cut dovetail joints. There is slight discoloration and chips on the bottom side of the marble, see photos. Up for auction is a very Rare antique upholstery/furniture roller stamp. The roller stamp reads: UPHOLSTERER FINE FURNITURE CHARLES RITTMANN 61 HIGH STREET PAWTUCKET DRAPERY AND LACES; CABINET MAKER and FINISHER; Shades& Fixtures; Interior Decorator; Mattresses Spring Beds The width of the wooden roller is: 3 1/2" The diameter of the wooden roller is: 3 1/4" The wooden handle measures 6" long. Over length of the roller stamp is 11 3/4" Overall width of the roller stamp is 4" The lettering of the rubber stamp is adhered to the wooden roller. The lettering is in very good and legible condition. The roller is spring loaded to return to it's original starting position for the next manufacturing label inking. The wooden handle is attached to a metal Y-shaped metal arm. This metal arm supports the rubber stamp roller ... moreand internal spring-loaded mechanism. The ends of the Y-shaped metal arm have various groves to rest on the inking tray. This is a very rare Charles Rittmann upholstery/furniture stamp from circa early 1800's. Only a handful of these were produced and used for his business in Pawtucket. Rhode Island. Not even sure how many of these still survive today and this might be one of the last known to exist. Here is a sweet shelf to display something special. It is 17" high. 16" across, and 4.5" deep. The space between the shelves is a bit over 6" so you could display items up to 6" tall here. The top two shelves are just over 3" deep and the bottom shelf is 4.5" deep. The sides have a pretty, curving shape. There are two metal eyes attached to the back so that you can easily hang this. It is lightweight and solid and in excellent condition with a few little rough spots in the paint but no peeling, no missing paint- it looks great! Very good vintage condition with a beautiful shade of hyacinth blue paint which appears to have a satin or semi-gloss finish. This is the kind of shelf that was made around the 1930s-1950s. Chinese art screen probably Hsien-feng or Tz'u-hsim period 1 875-80 A coromandel screen is a Chinese folding screen coated in black or dark lacquer. The dark background is richly decorated with painted scenes from life or literature. Wooden panels are coated with pale clay followed by several layers of lacquer. The design is carved into the lacquer before paint is applied to the underlying clay. Creating a textured surface with recessed color. Each panel is 17" wide and 1" thick Each panel consists of 4 freezes of which 2 are still life and 2 are of life within"Forbidden City" Each freeze consists of individually crafted carved semi precious stones including hard stone. Each of these formats were used by Chinese artists when painting on silk on paper. And each format imposed certain compositional problems. Vintage Antique Hanging Magazine Rack Original Oil Painting On Tin Framed as is
Up for auction is a unique vintage antique Victorian hanging magazine rack with an original painting on the front of blue corn flowers. This was found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. We put this ca 1880- 1905 due to the period frame and painting and its style. There are many losses to the plaster and gesso of the frame- but it is a wonderful frame that would look great with minor touch up- even a"faux" touch up would be great. The wood backing should be replaced. The painting could use a cleaning(a ball of a piece of wonder bread would get most of the dust and grime) The painting. On tin, is 9 3/4" x 13 1/2" more of a European sizing) on a very thin board that has lost some of the nails holding it in place. The whole overall piece hanging on the wall would be13.5 x 17.5" On one side the chain that ... moreholds the two open has come away and will need possibly a new fastener or nailed behind the frame as the other appears to be. This would hang out when magazines would be in it, it would hang flat when empty. A great period find in need of work, a great project for the so inclined. Antique Room Divider Dressing Screen Folding Partition
Welcome to our eBay auction. Up for your consideration is an antique folding 3-panel room divider dressing screen. The room divider measures approximately 60" tall and wide. Each panel partition from spindle to spindle are approximately 50" tall by 16 1/2" wide. My wife originally bought it with the intent of creating a unique dressing screen featuring vintage tinted Vogart pillow squares. But since then, we've moved into a smaller home and now have no room to dedicate to a room divider. It is structurally sound. As the what appears to be original dowels. One dowel has been repaired with tape. Lace curtains modified to fit inside the panels looks nice.
