The hand embroidery panels are all different, with many techniques of stitching. The foundation fabric is either linen or raw silk. Fabric is water-stained(see pics) and has a few small holes. It is constructed from solid wood with stretched canvas believed to be decorated in acrylic and/or casein paint. It measures 85.5" high and frame measures 1" thick. Side panels measure 17" wide and center panel measures 21" wide. The screen was designed for use in a bedroom where it was used to conceal a television. It features an concealed door which swings outward to reveal an opening measuring 18" wide and 16" high. Base of opening is 40.75" high. Up for bid is gorgeous antique professionally hand carved 3 panel walnut French screen/ room divider only. It is a 3 screen that used to have hinges but these were lost over the years& it has a thin coat of yellow paint. I've seen allot of French carved screens claiming to have the best carvings but they were not the crisp clean quality detail& quality workmanship as this one has when you look up close; even the flowers are great. As shown it was put together in sections or pieces& one part of front middle section near top needs re-glued& has a little chip of wood missing. I'm pressing together in picture to show what it will look like ... morewhen glued& you can see what it looks like in pics not pressed together. It still has it's original panel inserts that you attach fabric to& then fit into back side of screen sections& attach with thin little tacks or nails. These fabric insert pieces show quite a bit of wear from changing fabrics over the years& are free to winning buyer if interested. I would ly screen down& trace outline to make new inserts or use original inserts as a template to make new ones maybe even out of plexiglass? For as old as screen is it only has a few chipped areas mostly where fabric sections fit inside back. 1 little cracked spot on base& some where hinges attach as pictured. There is what looks like glue over& around screw holes where hinges attach. The carvings are as fancy at the bottom as they are at the top where usually it's just the top that's fancy. This beauty was my mothers& I have been storing it for years& want to find a home where it will be loved& displayed. Tallest middle section measures aprox. 6 feet 3 1/4 inches tall. Antique 19thc English Cottage Blue Birds Flowers Painted Room Divider Screen
Stunning piece. Third quarter 19thc. Blue birds and Hydrangeas, hand painted canvas inside each of three frame panels. Moulding is delicately ribbed with two finials in tact on tiny bun feet. Almost square at 68" tall and 23" each panel(69" total) Paintings measure 19 x 60" Recently found in original c1850 estate. Canvas lining fabric has splits that have been poorly repaired on the reverse, needs a thorough cleaning and those splits better addressed. This is an eight-panel Oriental illustrated room divider/multi-fold dressing screen. I’m not sure about the date. But it came out of a doctor’s ... morehome, and his wife told me that they purchased it 40 to 50 years ago from a very famous antique auction/shop in the Portland, Maine area, and were informed that it was once owned by a ship’s captain. I don’t believe it’s much older than the 1940s, but take a look at the pictures and you decide. My brother just auctioned a really old screen for more than $600,000. This example is not as old but still worth some money, though, because they paid quite a bit for it all those years ago. Each panel is about 17.5 inches wide, and 94.5 inches tall, with scalloped cutouts in the base. There are separate scenes on every single panel. Each panel has black lacquer, and it’s as though they applied the sheet on one side, then laminated it, carved into the black lacquer panel, then hand painted all the scenes. There is some roughness on the top and the bottom where it has been handled badly over the years, and there is some cracking in a couple panels. One panel has a lot of stretch marks on it where the panel seems to have shrunk on the backboard over the years. Antique Room Divider Dressing Screen Folding Partition
Welcome to our eBay auction. Up for your consideration is an antique folding 3-panel room divider dressing screen. The room divider measures approximately 60" tall and wide. Each panel partition from spindle to spindle are approximately 50" tall by 16 1/2" wide. My wife originally bought it with the intent of creating a unique dressing screen featuring vintage tinted Vogart pillow squares. But since then, we've moved into a smaller home and now have no room to dedicate to a room divider. It is structurally sound. As the what appears to be original dowels. One dowel has been repaired with tape. Lace curtains modified to fit inside the panels looks nice.

Description Sensational one-of-a-kind art deco revival room or wall screen. The likes of which I nor you will you ever see again( unless you buy it of course; This incredible and massive piece was a commission by a veeeeeerrrrryyyy large and important Dallas estate( this estate made J.R. Ewing look like a pauper) sometime back in the early 80's, and is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Sadly, the artist did not sign it anywhere that I can find so it remains a mystery, but the screen is an ethereal fantasy of a stylized wooded forest among which roams a small family of deer. The technique the artist used is wonderful, looking similar to the way cloisonne is made by laying a design of wire all over a vessel and then pouring the enamel into the spaces and over the wire to create an uninterrupted surface. I have no idea ... morehow this was done but the effect does resemble enamel. The colors are incredible and dreamy colors of blues and greens touched with a silverlight in places, utterly enchanting. This original MISSION OAK 3 panel screen has been part of my life. For my entire life! I am 66 years old, and my nana had this upstairs with an old quilt as the panels. Later in life, when nana had went home at the age 101 years old, the screen was part of the house. I put new dowels in it about 18 years ago, and just always, had it as you see it now, with sheer curtains on the dowels. I now find myself in much smaller surroundings. And can not find room for the old room divider. If it could tell stories. But sadly, it has to find a new home. Maybe with someone doing a mission oak bedroom or living room, or, a shabby and chic room. All that has to be done, is for you to change out the curtain panel I have in it. ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL DAY BED FRAME FIREPLACE SCREEN DIVIDER CARVED WOOD DRAGONS
We are pleased to offer this very unique. Architectural salvaged daybed frame. This old(mid to late 1800s) 2 section piece would make a beautiful and interesting fireplace screen, room divider, wall hanging or accent floor piece. It is very nice with a tall plant behind it. It is a constructed of solid wood(oak? panels with a carved, arched top section. The ends of each upper frame feature VERY DETAILED, carved wood, dragon heads. The heads have carved eyes, ears, nostrils and large incisor teeth/fangs. The two panels were, at one time, painted. There is some remaining OLD paint but most of it has worn and the wood is a natural color in these areas. The panels are footed. The original, front facing foot is the only"whole" foot as the others were side or back feet so they have a"sliced" profile. The original bolts, attachment ... morelock, brackets and hinges are still in place but could be removed. The unit is in good condition. There is some wear to the carved dragons, particularly to the ears as a couple of them have chipped. This is not distracting. This is a gorgeous piece. We have the matching unit available under a separate listing. It is the same except that it does not have a front"whole" foot. The piece can be displayed with a straight profile or it can be positioned as an"L" shape. The hinges(which are hidden in between the panels) allow for the unit to be folded. The frame measures 49" wide and 27" tall. IT IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. Shipping via GREYHOUND with insurance provided for you. Antique French Carved Wood Folding Privacy Screen 3 Panels w Mirrors Fabric Blue. Gorgeous antique wood dressing or privacy screen that I found at auction. It had original silk fabric that was torn and damaged. We removed that and placed some varied lace in the sections. BUT this can be removed and the rods are in place so you can install your own fabric. Our finish carpenter did some repair work as well. He replaced back footing section of one panel. See photos. He tightened up some of the loose wood and adding calking. We did not paint over the areas he repaired. See all photos. This is just a stunning screen with top portion mirrors in all 3 sections. The tops featured hand carved wood floral, torch and flame pattern. Painted(not by us) a French blue. A vintage unique 3 panel dressing screen or room divider. Have no idea when it would have been made but would guess in the 50s or perhaps earlier. Stands 65 ½” tall and each section is 18” across. Looks to have a walnut frame with some type of solid thin panel construction. Panels have had a type of varnish or the like applied to them. Heavier(shows darker) around the edges and fading to lighter application towards the middle of each. Then a stencil of roses and grid work applied over the surface. All joints are tongue and groove with no nails to be found. Hollywood Glam/Regency Mid Century Mirrored 4 Section Screen/ room divider 7'
Up for auction is this very large beveled glass mirror screen that stands 7' high& has four 16" wide folding sections. It was purchased for $1.500.00 in the late 1960's/early 1970's& is still in excellent condition. This piece would make an outstanding statement in any home or business. We purchased it from the estate of an antique dealer here in Monterey-she was our neighbor and we know it to be this old. We believe the fabric is velvet. There is some stains and age commensurate with chairs from the 1940's. The back side of the screen is not mirrored(thank goodness because it is heavy) It requires at least 2 strong individuals to move it. This is a PICK-UP ONLY SALE(shipping may be possible please contact before buying) for a Hand painted hand tooled/carved 4 panel screen I believe Antique pre-1900 from the Middle East. Not an item I am familiar with but it came from a local Estate and was purchased from an Antique shop quite a while ago. It is very heavy for its design possibly ironwood definitely a hardwood with hand tooled wood cut out panels. Hand painted with good color and it is complete. There is some warping primarily on the top/bottom thin legs and a few hinges although working now will need replacement. Don't let some work and the few age flaws throw you too much this is a very nice old screen in good shape and it would make a great room divider for use or high end design piece.
