This antique Duncan Phyfe solid mahogany wood magazine rack measures 16' wide. 17' tall at the center cutout handle and is 12' deep. There are some markings on the bottom, but there is not a company makers name or stamp. The surface has some scratches and the finish on some edges are worn. There are a few small nicks. The center divider with the handle moves slightly when lifting the piece. Overall this piece is very solid and secure. The side panels and decorative slats on both sides are thick and heavy solid Mahogany Wood. 3/4' thick side panels and 1/2' thick slats. Beautiful warm rich color with a great patina. The legs and base that hold the seat seem to be made out of mahogany. Check out how well fitted together the center multiple side wood pieces are. And just a beautiful look. Finish on the wood is still in good condition. I am not certain that the base was the original one with the wood seat component. I see other screw holes there that tell me that the pieces were not together originally and the stain on bottom of support board does not go all the way over to the mahogany column.
