This is an eight-panel Oriental illustrated room divider/multi-fold dressing screen. I’m not sure about the date. But it came out of a doctor’s ... morehome, and his wife told me that they purchased it 40 to 50 years ago from a very famous antique auction/shop in the Portland, Maine area, and were informed that it was once owned by a ship’s captain. I don’t believe it’s much older than the 1940s, but take a look at the pictures and you decide. My brother just auctioned a really old screen for more than $600,000. This example is not as old but still worth some money, though, because they paid quite a bit for it all those years ago. Each panel is about 17.5 inches wide, and 94.5 inches tall, with scalloped cutouts in the base. There are separate scenes on every single panel. Each panel has black lacquer, and it’s as though they applied the sheet on one side, then laminated it, carved into the black lacquer panel, then hand painted all the scenes. There is some roughness on the top and the bottom where it has been handled badly over the years, and there is some cracking in a couple panels. One panel has a lot of stretch marks on it where the panel seems to have shrunk on the backboard over the years. We are pleased to offer this extraordinary table. This lovely. French Country/Empire inspired table dates to the Victorian era. It features a large and ornate, carved wood frame, with glass, as the table top. The frame has an exceptionally deep profile with a gorgeous pattern of acanthus leaves, shells and flowers along the outer border. There is a painted black band nestled between the outer frame edge and the inner frame. The frame houses a beautiful antique needlepoint or petit point(under glass) of multicolored roses in a lovely bouquet. It is quite lovely and colorful and exquisitely accomplished. The table has 4 sleek, turned legs. The entire table is gilded wood with black over paint. The black paint has been applied so that, in some areas, the gold is allowed to peek through. We purchased two of these tables at a recent estate sale ... moreand have them both available under separate listings. The table is in very good condition for its age. There are a couple of small scuffs to the frame. But they are minor. The legs are good and the table is sturdy. The petit point is in very good condition with some expected yellowing of the entire piece. There are no frayed areas or rips, tears, etc. There is some chipping and peeling on the black painted surface in some areas. This is a very unique French Victorian table. The table measures 26" wide and 19.25" deep(front to back) It is 22" in height. The petit point measures 14.25" wide and 8" deep. Measuring just inside the interior frame. Because of the fragile nature of this piece. Shipping will be via Greyhound with insurance provided. Dresser, or as a fireplace mantel or hall mirror. Beautiful eastlake carvings and details. A small blip in the rounded part near the top, but it doesn't really stand out except in the photos. You don't notice it when you see the mirror in person because it makes quite a statement and is better than the photos. The mirror that is in the photo for display is not the original mirror and does not quite fit the frame, which is why you see some brown around the inside edges of the opening. Old Antique 5 Candle Postion Black Marble Candleabras Clocks Mantle These are made of speltzer and black marble. They measure 25 inches tall by 8 5/8 inches by 8 5/8 inches overall. There is a repair on one of the arms that looks pretty good and there is overall wear. Please refer to photos to get the best impression. All the cups are present for the candles and there are 5 on each candelabra. There are some mini chips or fraying on the marble on some edges but not bad. Oxidation and tarnish is also present on the metal surfaces from age. There is a looseness to the parts that allows the various sections to move and be taken apart. This can be tightened from the bottom. Patina from age is present as these are being sold as found. A very charming antique late Victorian carved walnut Black Forest type wall magazine rack. Carved in serpentine rustic fashion leaves and branches. Also with three squirrels eating nuts. It measures 30" tall by 21" wide by 6-1/2" deep. Very good condition: teeny chip to ear of top squirrel, otnerwise without losses. Several wood braces and glue repairs showing on tbe back. Original dark finish.

Hello I have a very Beautiful Hutch from the 1800's Germany Black Forest. Hand carver from Black Walnut wood. This has been in my family for a very long time, It was once to be said that it was in Joey Bishop's home, so I was told, true I don't know? anyway, I had downsized my home and It does not fit or look right. It does have a third piece that goes in the center of what you see, you need six guys to lift and set into place, It makes this about two feet larger.The third piece is in my garage It is very old and is in good condition.
