Antique Victorian Solid Oak Mirror Beveled Glass 1800's Handcarved Primitive
Here is a early to mid 1800's solid oak mirror with beveled glass. For its age. It's in great shape. The mirror itself could use some attention but there are no cracks or scratches. The top left corner of the glass shows some deterioration. The mirror is still quite clear and vivid. The glass also has a couple of air bubbles in it. The frame is made of solid oak with nice joints on the top corners. The carving up top was all done by hand as is simple yet very elegant. The frame measures 20.5" wide x 17" tall(measured from the top of the design carving) The frame is approx 3/4" thick. It had a solid wood back that is nailed to the frame. There is no hanging hardware installed but you can easily reuse the holes from what was previously there. This is a really great piece that has a lot of stories to tell! The 10 green tiles in the back splash framed in oak are very pretty and in great condition. It was very hard to photograph the tiles and marble because of the sun and reflections. The backsplash sits loosely on the cabinet and needs to be tightened. The English oak cabinet has two traditional paneled doors with oval brass handles. There a crack inside the right door that does not show when the door is closed. The simple straight leg design is typical Arts& Crafts. The lower left leg of the cabinet is a little bowed. Antique solid oak wet bar with brass counter top
We have had this bar forever it seems like. It has been all over the country with us. We are moving AGAIN(lol) back to Alaska and it's time for it to go to a new owner. It's very heavy and very solid. It is missing one of the brass foot rails as shown in the picture. All of the metal and counter top is solid brass. Antique Eastlake organ top from 19th-century that is solid oak. Has two levels of shelves and a place that served to store and hold music sheets. Please note the two missing decorative pieces in picture number 3 and a brace that was placed on the very top of the organ piece in the early 1900s. The mirror also has some discoloration that is visible in the picture. This is a beautiful piece that can be placed on top of another piece of furniture or it it can be hung on wall.
