THIS ITEM IS-COPPER AND STEEL REBAR WELDED TREE SCULPTURE This sculpture was made by H.K Pang I believe in the mid sixties. The tree is aprox 9 1/2 inches tall and sits atop a 1/2" hard wood base. Probably chestnut, for a total height of aprox 10 inch. The tree is well proportioned and great care was taken with the roots on the trunk and the forks of the branches. The leaves are hand cut from a heavy gauge copper and individually soldered on to each branch. IT IS AWESOME. some discolor on the wood. TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Paypal users must be verified. I did not find any patent dates on the trunk and based on 40 years experience restoring trunks I would date this trunk to the 1840's to the 1860's which makes this awesome old humpback as much as 160 years old- a true antique. This trunk was in good solid condition when the restoration started and the wood bottom is solid and the wood has had multiple coats of clear applied. Antique Wicker Trunk /Picnic Hamper XL Turn Of The Century. Local Pickup
Wicker steamer/picnic trunk from turn of the century. This is an extra large trunk 28"long. 22"tall, 20" deep. It has three forged metal pieces that hinge it and three forged loops in the front that a metal or wooden bar slid through to secure it. That piece is no longer with the trunk. It had rope handles, one is missing, the other in fair condition. It is sturdy for its age but the wicker is damaged in different places, I tried to photograph as best I could. Very dusty. There is no way for me to check on the authenticity of it being owned by Chuck himself. However inside the trunk we found an athletic wrist sweat band of the period as well.
