I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1910-1920s signed H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago. Ill USA lamp base- originally meant for a slag glass lamp. The ring diameter for the ring fitter would be approx 2-3/4" diameter. The lamp is very ornate and has the original antique gold finish. It stands approx 22" no including the finial which may or may not be the original but looks good together. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- No damages but a few minor manufacturing mold imperfections- a few small inclusions- basically what you see in pic#2- maybe a couple more but nothing thats any real big deal. No chips. No cracks, No repairs, its as it was from the factory. I am unsure if the sockets are original or not- The top caps have a bright yellowish tint but the bottoms look correct- I am not sure just pointing out what I see. Up for auction we have a nice antique flag pole stand. This flag pole stand was Salvage out of a church before demolition. The base measurements are: the center hole is 1" in diameter. The overall height is 4.5" its about 10" wide. Weight 4.5 lbs. There no broken parts. However it is missing 1 wing nut. As seen in the picture. Keep in mind this base is antique therefore it will not be in perfect conditions it does have some paint ware some scratches it will need to be cleaned. Overal nice condition. AMAZING Art Glass Antique Lamp Shade Metal Base Irridescent Quezal? Loetz? LOOK!
Beautiful! Purchased this lamp along with other antiques from an estate of A Naval Rear Admiral originally from the Coronado California area. He had many wonderful items! I cannot find a signature on the lamp shade. Although I may be missing something. Also, there is no felt or bottom covering on the base. The socket is signed, but this is for the hardware manufacturer. Several antique dealers have looked at shade but no definitive answer. Except it is truly beautiful! Multi shades of color accented with a stunning irridescence. The underside of shade has the colors in their more solid form. And on the outside is this wonderful and captivating coloring. Amazing. The rim of shade has no chips, just slight roughness. Shade is excellent. The metal base does has some discolor here& there. The lamp works and cord is fine. Pedestal has new white paint and I see one cameo is pronounced and clear while the other is faint and hard to see Don's hat feather. Also I see the narrow section of the pedestal was damage and put back together. I do not know what technic the person used to do this repair and he has passed on now. VINTAGE COLD PAINTED BRONZE ARABIC LAMP BASE MOORISH DESIGN PARTS OR REPAIR! This auction is for a vi n tage lamp base that appears to be cold painted bronze with old polychrome painting. Acquired many years ago from an elderly gentleman who indicated that this was a lamp and had fallen off a table and the tube arrangement that concealed the cord broke off(you can see the hole where the tube was attached) He also said there had been an Arabi an man in a chair mounted on the carpet(you can see where parts were soldered) He had lost or thrown out the parts and this is what remained. You can see a chest with a scimitar and also a moorish style table with bottle type container. The base is not completely level and may have been bent a little when dropped. It is approx 7 3/4" square x 4" tall at the top of the bottle or decanter on the ... moretable. We can not find markings identifying the maker, but the piece is dirty and perhaps something could be foun d. For parts or repair but it makes an interesting conversation piece-weight unpacked is about 2 1/2 pounds. Antique lamp base part for slag glass shade , Bradley and Hubbard
This antique base is not si gned but I have seen it on Bradley and Hubbard lamps so I have listed it as such. It is primarily made of pot mteal with a br ass stem and steel socket cluster. All are painted in a bronze col ored finish with gilt highlights. The paint has some chipping and could use some restor ation. Other than that this base is in fine condition. It is not cracked bent or broken in any way. It is 20" tall and measures 8 1/2"across the widest dimension of the bottom. T he top of the socket cluster measures 1 3/4" It weighs 5 3/4 pounds. Lamp stands 24" tall. The base is ceramic. And the globe is a frosted glass(not milkglass) It looks like some of the metal peices around the neck have been replaced. And also the actual electric fixture inside it. Theres no switch outside the globe. But the switch is accessible when the globe is taken off. Antique Fostoria GWTW Hand Painted Cosmos Flowers(I believe) Oil Lamp Base Cast iron foot is marked" FG" 617" If there is no bid in the first 24 hours we WILL put a reserve on it or END the auction. This GWTW oil lamp base is in great condition! See all pictures as they are part of our description! It measures approx 10 1/2" to the top of the brass rim. The cast foot is approx 6" square. The widest part of the font is approx 7 1/2" wide(at the two feathery leaf designs sticking out on the sides) The inside of the base. Where an oil pot sits(not included) is 4 3/4" in diameter by 3" deep. The glass base/font is in great shape and the colors include greens. Yellows, pinks and a touch of brown accents. There are some dirty spots and possibly some fading. It might come out nicer with a deeper cleaning and ... morepolishing, but will leave that up to the high bidder. I basically dusted it for pics. There are four seams on this glass font. The foot and the front/back don't line up squarely and you can see this in the first four pictures of the front and sides. There are raised feathery/leafy designs in the glass at the top and bottom edges and on the two sides. The two sides have a slightly different feathery/leafy design. There is also a wide swirled rib pattern in the glass. I believe the flowers are Cosmos flowers. Or something similar. I can see some heavy swirls in the glass. Which adds nice character. There are no cracks on this base. But I do see a chip which is on the rim where the oil pot liner sits, although the liner does not cover this rim very well. It could be possible this is not the original liner. The oil pot liner has some wear and some light surface rust. But that is usual for these old lamps. It is magnetic, so it is not brass. The brass connector between the foot and glass font is not magnetic and in good shape. It does have some wear to the finish. But no cracks. The cast iron foot has a slight rock to it. Circa 1880's to 1900'Alva' pattern kerosene stand lamp. Please reference Thuro book 2 page 117 figure o& p for the opalescent versions of this lamp. Lamp is 7 3/4" tall to the top of the#1 fine line brass collar. With a 4 1/2" base diameter. Font. Stem and base all have an acid finish. Overall very condition with no large chips or cracks. Has the usual bubbles, straw marks, and base wear. Mold roughness, small nicks and small flat flakes along the edge of the base. Two internal bruises on the base. One on the top edge and the other on the underside. One internal bruise on the font in the middle center rib area. I did not see this until I was writing up my description an d checking for flaws. My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! This antique cast iron industrial lamp base is marked O.C. White Co. Worchester Mass and also marked with a patent date of August 1 1911. The wiring appears to good but has not been tested. The base is in excellent condition. 24" inches long when extended X 10 1/2" tall. Mount plate is 3 7/8" long x 2 1/2" wide x 3 7/8" without the first arm and 5 7/8" with the first arm. When folded the base is 10" long x 10 1/2" tall. It has been in storage for many. Many years and not been touched nor cleaned. The repurposing possibilities are endless and a perfect base for an Industrial Age socket and shade. I am providing as m uch and as accurate information as I am capable. Antique Art Deco Bronze Woman Lamp with Marble Base and Art Glass Shade
This lamp has been sitting in my grandmother's home ever since purchased in the 1930's and has sat in a niche in her stairwell for as long as I can remember. Now I inherited it. Had it rewired. The original cloth wiring was in bad shape. It has its original, very delicate glass shade which is held on by two screws(as seen in pictures) Lamp is fragile and glass is only held on by the two screws. It is in wonderful condition for its age. It was purchased in France and it is French in origin. I have yet to see another one like it. Lamp is 15" tall by 7" wide by 7" deep. A vintage Capodimonte lamp with two cameo faces(one on each side) and a filigree brass? metal base joined at each corner with cherubs and garland wreath work. This is a large size lamp measuring approx. 40-1/2" total height. The lamp without the finial measures about 37" high. To give you an idea of size on the porcelain part the width from handle to handle is approx. 10" the cameo face portion measures approx. 8" across. Measuring the base to the top of the porcelain is 20-3/4" without the brass stem and light fixture. Paulding lamp with glass base
Up for sale today is a glass lamp base with a Paulding light fixture. To me it looks as if this may have been an oil lamp converted to electric but I'm not completely sure. The top of the Paulding fixture unscrews from the base. It is 9.5 inches tall including the bulb and the base has a diameter of 3.25 inches. I have not plugged the lamp in but otherwise appears to be in good condition.

UNUSUAL METAL BRASS ISLAMIC EUROPEAN LAMP BASE JARDINIERE STAND ?
THIS beautiful piece mystifies me and at the same time it is so nicely decorated that it mesmerizes me! I'm not exactly sure what it does- looks like it can be a lamp base or a jardiniere stand( you be the judge. The decoration reminds me of some european influence- very similar to decorations on inlaid sorrento boxes that typically depicts stylized birds amongst foliage. It is also bears similarities to islamic or persian style decorations. It is made of mixed materials of brass and porcelain. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

The internal diameter of the thread is 7/8” The column is supported on a conical beaded/stepped base which is decorated with deep raised folate decoration. Gorgeous Vintage Galle Style Glass Sculpture SEAHORSE GLASS w double lighted bulbs. This Table LAMP has a bulbous base that has a small fixture for a bulb inside the Glass seahorse part to show it off. the upper also has a socket for a bulb but needs a beautiful shade. this lamp is so striking to the naked eye. Lamp looks like a Galle style lamp. But does not have a galle signature so may be a reproduction of one. S. Clarke Pyramid Fairy Lamp Base w/ Three Yellow Shades Satin Quilted Diamond
This auction is for nice set of three pyramid-sized Clarke fairy lamp shades with one Clarke base. Included are: one amber diamond point shade. One diamond quilted satin citron shade and one ribbed mustard-colored shade. There is roughness and small chips around the top and bottom openings of all three shades. The quilted citron shade has two notches in the base plus a larger chip on the base and discoloration at the top and bottom edges from heat exposure. The single base is stamped S. Clarke Pyramid Fairy and does not have any chips or cracks. Each shade measures approximately 2 5/8" tall.

There are couple spots in the metal frame that have started to separate(pictured below) From what I have read this is normal for these types of lamps. Also one of the ball pull chains does not have the"catch" to keep the light on. This should be a simple fix. The base measure's 7-1/2" The total height of the lamp is 23" One of the clips that hold a slag panel in on the shade is missing. The putti is carrying a large, bulbous, glass urn/vessel. The glass is exceptional. It features a swirled design with interior white painted finish. The paint technique is somewhat splattered and is quite striking. The lamp base features a brass bottom with an upper marble section which is white with gray veining.
